new to macros in wow. When i copy and pasted the macros provided it spams the #showtooltip into my chat... What am i doing wrong..
Steele HD make sure you dont have a space before the #showtooltip
But if you’re trying to use these on a private server it won’t work, these are for how they will function in Classic WoW when it comes out and the Beta that is currently available for certain people
@@Atacas yeah that was my issue. Any idea how they work on the private servers... just trying to learn the game again before release been a while lolll
Steele HD haha no problem, so on private servers you need the addon called “Super Macro” and #showtooltip doesnt work with that, but you do need to name the macro, also /startattack doesnt work, you have to use something different, /script if not IsCurrentAction(48) then UseAction(48) end;
Replace 48 with whatever number you want to have your auto attack placed on your bars, to find out which bars correlate to which numbers just google “action bar numbers vanilla wow” and go to images, hopefully this helps brother
@@Atacas @steele HD This is solvable with ClassicMacros and CleverMacro. I've never tried CleverMacro myself but I found it now and it looks great.

I've played warrior myself since late Classic and all the way to BFA where they made the charge/hamstring macro unavailable.
The amount of arenas i've won cause of this macro is insane, especcially against mages at high rating, since they do try to blink behind LoS in a smart manner, if you face a good mage this will help you out alot cause they will blink out of your charge range.
Alot of times you try to hamstring your target and they shadowstep friendly unit or my shamans totems etc, same with mages, you can catch them offguard by instantly charging/intercepting without them being prepared for it and catch a kill on that guaranteed autoswing + execute phase.
I've used that macro since WotLK and i'm impressed that someone else has found it aswell, you got a subscriber man!

Shield bash works in battle stance aswell, I would also remove the bandage in in the IS macro, you most likely use the ae fear as a def CD (not always) but if you do i bet you have dots/bleeds on which will put your bandage on CD.. Otherwise great video, easy for new warriors to understand! keep it up

Hi i loved this guide. Any chance You could also make a more general guide with warrior rotations ect.? It would be really helpful since Im brand new to the game and i feel like im not using my kit propertly

If you're fury use Bloodthirst and Whirlwind on cooldown, Only whirlwind if it won't delay your next Bloodthirst though. Use Heroic Strike if you're above about ~55 rage to dump extra rage. If you're horde side and can't dump rage fast enough, you can spam Hamstring inbetween your normal ability rotation to fish for more windfury procs, but that's not necessary most of the time.

great video man, i like your style of getting to the good stuff quick. in terms of constructive criticism i can think of 2 things: use a script, you seemed to be unsure at one point, second guessing yourself wheather you covered all the info or not. the second thing would be an overview at the start, id love to be able to see what macros youre gonna cover in a 5sec picture overview or something. subbed! :)

Learn how to use GnomeSequencerEmhanced... slightly overwhelming at first but once you get used to it.... it’s amazing. Separate macro strings available on one button... I can have different macro behavior based on “if this then that” for example... if I’m in group my hunter will cower the period instead of growl and run a different rotation.
If you bind all your stances with difrent kind of weapons without having the stances and weapons in your bar separatly you handycap your selv by a ton... there are times where you wanna go d stance with a 2h weapon... and there are times when you wanna combat stance with a 1h and shild on.... equipping a weapon triggers the gcd as well. so my advice is make a makro for your 1h and shild and simply put your 2hander on your action bar as well [dont need a makro for that) btw stances dont trigger the gcd neither are stances on the gcd they do however share a cooldown just for stances

Yo, I have a question. In classic Im going to MT for my guild, but Im torn between Troll and Orc.
Because I know that I will do some pvp on the side, but Troll has the best TPS with berzerk. How is tanking with an axe vs troll racial? Should I play troll for better tps and worse pvp racial, or go orc for ace tanking and bis pvp racial?

eLmasten I think Orc is great for tanking, the axe racial can definitely help, but overall I dont think your racials are gonna make or break you in PvE, if you care about PvP at all, thats what you should pick your race based on as they have much more impact in PvP, at least in my opinion. So, Orc!

i'm having a problem with my 1h sword not equipping. the shield equips but not the 1h in defensive stance. its like the name of the sword "mercenary blade of the tiger" isnt recognized or something because when i type mining pick it would equip that with the shield. any ideas?
/equipslot16 or /equipslot17 this will make sure it goes in correct slot
Don't you need /eq 2h weapon to overpower and thunderclap macro? In case you're in defensive 1h+shield. Also this macro changes the icon to battle stance icon on my bars. Can i fix this somehow? If i don't add /cast battle stance then it keeps the Overpower icon.
Also are you using Thunder Clap at all? I heard it's useless in vanilla, only a waste of rage.
Make sure if you're doing the Thunder Clap macro, you space Thunder and Clap. On Classic these are two separate words and your macro will not function if you don't spell it correctly.
is it possible to make a macro where you cast pummel when entering berserker stance?
the charge hamstring one doesnt work for me
You have to press it twice, all of your abilities share the global cool-down. This means there is a delay between when you can use next ability. so just hit it twice and you’re good. Might have to play with timing a bit.

How can i make my warrior yell something when he charges?
do you know the rage cost for switching stances? for example, if i needed to use the pummel ability that requires berserker stance, how much rage does it cost and how much rage would i need to go back to battle stance? the way i'd have it is having a battle stance + auto attack macro right after casting the berserker stance + pummel macro'd ability to get back to the battle stance, although there is also another question. is there gonna be the global cool down in classic, and if so, how long will it be and is it gonna be for changing stances? it would help to know all this because if the class is gonna be too sophisticated to play with all this micro managing or delay, i'd rather pick another class. also the battle stance info is necessary to me because i need to see if i should get more talent points in the tactical mastery talent of arms.
idin03 when you play Arms, max out Tactical Mastery so you’ll have 25 rage to play around with when you switch stances, Pummel only cost 10 so you will be fine when you switch to use it, and there is a global cooldown when you switch stances, everything is a bit slower paced when it comes to using abilities in Classic, but if you really want faster gameplay, a rogue only has a 1 sec global cooldown where every other class has 1.5. Overall Warriors are heavily dependent on stance dancing so it adds another layer of thinking to their gameplay.
@@Atacas this is a bit random but do you know if warriors can benefit from intellect in terms of having increased hit, crit, and having reduced chance of your attacks being dodged and parried in any pvp setting or pve? the reason why i'd want to use intellect is because one or more pieces in particular i'm looking at can be replaced to a mail or plate piece instead of using leather or mail, where i can possibly get equal or about the same hit rating and possibly crit, but with the benefit of having more armor. also, does the added crit or hit rating only work until you reach a weapon skill of 300 or can you still get increased hit and crit. i think i might be confusing what weapon skill is?
idin03 the ONLY thing that intellect does for warriors is increase the speed at which their weapon skills rank up

Hi complete beginner in macros here, when you use a macro that will change your stance along a spell, will it also equip the weapons or do you still need to change stance with its own macro then cast the spell, idk if I made it clear. And thank you for the great work and knowledge
ta0nat as long as the macro has the /equip whatever weapon in it, it will change the macro as well

2:00 IIRC swapping weapons triggers globalcooldown, by having weapons bound to stances when you want to disarm for example youll trigger a gcd befor you can disarm. Its a preference i geuss but sems fcking anoyying to me to trigger gcd everytime you swap to def or back
im new to classic and especially warrior. would you suggest practicing warrior on a lvl 60 private server or on retail until classic drops? thx
Chris Savage i would suggest practicing LEVELING on a regular private server to get a grasp for the early levels and if you really want to, practice lvl 60 game play on an instant 60 server, but the early game is the most important and you will learn the class as you level when classic drops.
i remember i had an macro for years ago where i could switch between all my stances with alt + shift + normal click. i just cant remmeber it, is it still possible?
If I use your thunder clap macro when already in Battle Stance I would lose everything but 25 rage, right? If I'm already in the stance? Any way to prevent this?
You won't switch into Battle Stance if you are already in Battle Stance, I tested it on the Beta and it appears that double stancing was a bug on private servers

Put the shield as the first line instead of the second
I got a question. If I change my Stance, I will loose all my rage, so for excample.. if I use the overpower makro while I am in defense stance, it wont work to use overpower becuase I lost all my rage or am I wrong?
There is this talent in arms tree that lets you keep up to 25 rage when stance swapping.
Is that only a private server thing that you can still cast the stance your are already in? If not, some of these macros would cast the stances constantly, removing any additional rage beyond 25, when e.g. spamming it for overpower

Unsure if this was just me messing something up, but today with the beta access that everyone was given I tried spamming the macro to use my heroic strike and everytime I did it either turned my auto attack on or turned it off, it wouldn't just leave it on if I pressed any ability I had /starattack macro'd into. Any idea of a fix / why that might be the case?

Not sure what's going on, but for some reason i can not get any of these macros to work. I'm new to macros in general but i did write everything out the exact same way. Is there something maybe blocking mine such as addon or what am i doing wrong?

Austin Koren you can spec into “Tactical Mastery” in the Arms tree for up to 25 rage retention

I'm trying the heroic strike macro BUT if i dont have the rage it wont start autoattack. Is there a way around this?
Make sure that /startattack is before /cast Heroic Strike. I tried it this morning and it worked quite well.
You didn't mention if its a 1click or you have to smash the button unknown number of times. Try to make a 1 click shield bash macro. Let me know how it goes.

What macros would i need if im Fury spec’d? Or are these specific macros catered to all warrior builds?
None of the macros he discussed depend on spec. They're abilities all warriors have, assuming they've leveled high enough.
Use rend for leveling ?
Norish yes, if you are leveling as Arms, as you get increased Rend damage from your talents, but if you’re leveling as Fury its not as useful.

Norish it depends what level you are, early on it has more value, but overall it only cost 10 rage, where heroic strike cost 15, but because your heroic strike takes up an auto attack and you arent gaining rage from that auto attack its more like it cost 25 rage. So as you play you’ll get a feel for when its better to use, but there is no firm yes or no on using it vs not using it.
