- I'm kind of neutral on her as an overall character, but I can't help but appreciate everything surrounding her and both the clarifications and questions she brings to the table. If Wave 4 is overall as solid as Wave 3 was, I think I'll end up quite satisfied with the dlc as a whole.

Honestly I think Masha using Keves arts supports the theory that Rex is going to be mentoring a Kevesi character and that Shulk will be mentoring an Agnian character
and it’d make sense within the context of 3, since only Agnian classes are able to take advantage of Kevesi Master Arts, so this mentor-mentee setup will allow the Founders to use Shulk and Rex’s powers to complement their original skills.
IIRC the concept art suggested that the original plan for Reid's statue was supposed to be a High Entia, unless they changed their mind about that.
Doesn't Shania kinda throw a wrench into the idea that Shulk mentored an Agnian? She is of House Reid and has a Kevesi Iris, after all. I know that's not a hard guarantee at all, it could ultimately still go either way, but that would appear to make it less likely for Shulk's mentee to be Agnian, right?
I really hope those two become heroes you recruit. But yeah, them mentoring characters from the opposite world would be awesome.
@@laggalot1012 I think it's interesting, I checked and both Monica and Ghondor appear to have their Irises in the left eye, which is Agnian, even though the Vandhams seem more related to Noah, a Kevesi, a bit more than Mio at least character wise, but it might just be a case of genetics and maybe the Iris placement can vary from that variable, idk though
i think its pretty funny how ino's class, an agnian class uses animations from ethel's class, a kevesi class and how masha's class, a kevesi class uses animations from mio's class, an agnian class

Isn't that basically how he was in 2? His values, hopes & realistic optimism was so insanely contagious he managed to gather multiple people (including adults far older than him) to join his cause and search for Elysium. Before his adventure, he carried the financial wellbeing of everyone in Fonsett Village on his back at 15.
He influenced several politicians & monarchs who were at war with one another or shunned themselves from the rest of Alrest to join his cause, Zeke: The Crown Prince of Tantal, Morag: The Emperor of Mor Ardain, Nia: The Outcasted Feudal Lord of Gormott. Hell even antagonists such as Jin & Malos eventually wished for his success. He inspired Tora and Poppi who admired him as their hero and is the only person in the Blade universe (at least so far, Shulk & Alvis??) to truly harness the full power of an Aegis and influence their character for the better with Pyra & Mythra. Despite the world itself dying and everyone giving in to their hopeless situation, he strived to change everything for the better, no matter the cost.
He's always been him.

I love that Cassini's house motto is basically the phrase, "I do what I want!" I can imagine is coming to fruititon accidentally from one stuck up giving Rex crap for having three wives, "Love is Love." Free Love." I do want I want! Big man, big heart, big ...... I do who I want! Then Cassini PGS and fancies into the house phrase.

The fact that Masha works with keeping memories alive is a parallel to Jin's fear of forgetting Lora, something Rex came in contact with. By the way, only now I've noticed that Shulk has a power frame as well!

Okay, hear me out. Sena’s B outfit is a reference to Pyra and Mythra. What are their hair colors? Red and Yellow. What do you get when you combine those colors? Orange. Also, both of them have some sort of connection to Brigid - Pyra is another fire blade, and Mythra had a rivalry with Brigid during Torna

Fun fact, founder of Cassini is daughter of Zeke who is "mentor" of Rex. And Rex played the "Zeke role" for the party in Future Redeem. So house of Cassini statue in many way is still in the spirit of Linka's dad.
you mean "who's mentor is Rex" but yeah unlike Panacea who was raised by Shulk and sees him as a father figure (I figure he encouraged her to call him Teacher because he didn't want her to forget his two dearest friends are her parents) Linka's relationship with Rex is more an "Uncle and Niece" as alot of dialogue implies Zeke and Pandoria raised her for a good many years before Rex took over
Rex is exactly what Zeke was trying "TOO HARD TO BE" which is "actually Cool" (Zeke is cool in that "dork" manner of his LOL) except Rex learned from Zeke's goofs and actually BECAME cool! (Rex became fucking ALL MIGHT with all that Charisma he was displaying LOL)

I'm so serious when I say Nopon are some sort of divine entity connected to the Zohar. They're a species that obviously never existed in Earth and only appeared after Klaus' Experiment. They have long lifespans & can't be governed by the laws of the current universe (can't bond with Blades in 2, unable to be bound by the Flame Clock system in 3 and Moebius literally just left them alone after agreeing on a non aggression pact.)

Nopon can become drivers but it's rare. Cassandra's former driver was a Nopon. Boreas also has Nopon data and is basically a super Nopon. But it is strange Nopon live outside the cycle and are just left alone by Z. In 1 they live away from humans but in 2 they live with humans and 3 there seems to be a mix of Nopon who will support the colonies and cities and those from the caravans who will trade with them but otherwise want to be left alone. So yeah it's not fully explained what they are besides the bit of lore in 2 where they talk silly because it's an easy way to make other people lower their guard around them.
Now I'm hoping we get a scene in the DLC where Cassini, as one of the main party members, excitedly quotes a line of the Salvager Code only for everyone else to look at her funny wondering what she's talking about. Being explicitly said to be a free-spirit, it's very possible that she'll end up as the most silly and comedic of the founders. (Not helped by the fact that her presumed Ouroborus partner, Reid, is another girl.)
That would e awesome. Wholesome Polyamory then wholesome gaynes. Well, besides implied gayness of Morag and Brighid. Whole explicit gayness.
@@PJDAltamirus0425 We know that Ouroborus pairs don't _have_ to be romantic, as evidenced by Sena and Lanz usually being seen as platonic workout buddies, and also by Vandham and Doyle being brother and sister. So Reid and Cassini _might_ not be lesbians, but it's still very possible and they're bound to have some humorous interactions regardless.

Nope only related to two houses! The one of his adopted daughter figure & Student & the incarnation of his son with Fiora. there is no 7th! A is sort of a "hidden benefactor" the new flavor text on the statues in the city have ALOT added to them! Like how they can't confirm if Vandham and Doyle have ties despite their founders being full blooded brother and sister! Though they do have records! Vandham House being formed AFTER Matt's descendants found their way back to the City (likely when things got to dicey with Moebius that being a Non-Keves or Agnus Human outside the City was a BAD idea as it seemed the "eyepatch" blocker came LATER when they realized Z and Moebius can track them without it!) and no one knowing how Glimmer and Nikol lived for 80 more years (especially as they were coming up to their homecoming at the point they became Ouroboros!)
Also to Neostar617, the DLC is VERY XC1 focused, they brought back the whole "blue exclamation point on the arts" when a Art is best used from XB Definitive Edition back along with Enemy Detection types after they weren't in XC2 and 3 Base Game! (Even though you have to upgrade to get them, though they can be gotten as soon as Chapter 2 begins) hell you even use COLONY 9 (The original) as a base and the Gem Forge to get the final level of Gem upgrades! (Even Shulk makes a nod to the Gem Man)
Found it funny how Masha felt ALOT like Zeke (or specifically how his father would have wanted Zeke to act like a proper Prince and not a commoner LOL) while still having Zeke's "adventure spirit" (She goes out on her own and can handle herself just as he does! She barely hides her identity though unlike him, but then again he is disinherited so....)

So one thing I noticed about the throwback outfits, I’m pretty sure Eunie’s is the only Kevesi outfit in the game without a visible power frame. I could be wrong but it’s certainly weird

I feel it was a tad strange both DLC characters turned out to be blatant XC2 references. Up until now, they’ve been pretty particular about the eye which holds the ‘Iris’ for each of the houses, a detail reflected in the placement of the founder statues. But then we have Masha, a member of a predominantly Agnian house accompanied by a slew of references to XC2 using Kevesi arts. Feels like they just really wanted to make more Agnian characters, but were obligated to give atleast one of them Kevesi arts regardless of how much sense it made lol.
Anyways, I had previously theorized that Shania’s model and voice might be used as a basis for the founder of house Reid. Considering the Cassini founder is also female, I wonder if there’s a possibility Masha’s model could also be recycled.
I'm like 99% sure they made 2 XC2 characters and then went "fuck, we forgot about gameplay balancing" and arbitrarily made Masha Kevesi despite everything else saying she is agnian

Even Ouroboros and the Sword of the End are already to some degree outside of that influence.

In Theory ... if she would be the daughter of a Agnus Blade and a Kevesi Human , she could have ended up with a Core Crystal in the Chest and the Iris on the Right side eye. Or would a child of a blade and a human always have a flesheater core crystal like in case with Mio ?

Another reason for argentum being greed ties back to Judas betraying Jesus for silver coins. Cause it can't be a xeno game without references to Christianity.

With Sena's 2nd Throwback costume, I am making a fairly large leap, but maybe it is a reference to Crossette. They kind of have similar colors. It probably is not, but that is the only thing I can think of.

Noah's Throwback B makes me think of one of Shulk's skins in smash. they may have chosen his black and white skin just because of Keves/Agnus, and that's also a skin with black hairs, similar to Noah's. If that's the only reference, that's a bit sad, to be honest.
I don't know a ton about Xenogears, but I thought Sena's Throwback B was Maria. The orange and gold looked to me like her clothes and hair, and they're both the Littlest Party Member who's also impossibly strong.

Finding out the House's Philosophies could point us to what classes their founders will be.
With Cassini's philosophy being based around helping people could push them more towards being healers, but ones that also punch very very hard cause. Rex influence. That's just a guess.
As for the palette swap costumes, what if they were a reference to the other game? So, Noah's being based on a Xenoblade 2 reference and Mio's a Xenoblade 1 reference. Which, kind of is the case cause if you thinking it's based on Nia's Xenoblade 1 reference costume. Just a thought.
Editing this in for Masha: I think she's a reference to both Xenoblade 1 and 2, given she is the Fioraized version of Nia's class. She has the ability to craft accessories, which are a Xenoblade 2 thing but mainly uses rocks like Xenoblade 1's gems cause no Xenoblade 2 character crafts with stone. Her quest has you looking for a new mineral, like Agate's quest. This mineral's a combination of both world's minerals. Just, all coming together.

I think the dlc was so two focused because 3 starts and ends with keves. Also the big thing that helps fight is Lucky Seven which is a replica monado in all but name. Three favors XC1 so the dlc had to favor two.

Now I have to believe that Ino was made either by Shulk or Shulk's apprentice. seeing how Masha is a keves style fighter related to Rex, who references the style of an x1 character on x2.
Ino is a Agnus style fighter that could have been made by the only relevant hom engineer, Shulk. You could take the entire nopon things as a result of him using Poppi's blueprints as a base; hence x2 character on x1

The Nopon Archsage has been op even before this dlc when you think about it. He's been taking heroes from other dimensions and he allowed them (or a copy of them) to roam in Alrest despite the fact this is when they were made of opposite matter. Basically the Nopon Archsage did Origin's work but better.
About Taion, I wonder if his Jin costume is just a reference of if there is some implication there, like the original Taion being a member of Torna... After all Mio and Sena got the outfits of their mothers. I don't think Taion is related to Jin, but I still believe that the original Taion is somewhat linked to the original Mio and Sena just like Noah, Lanz, Eunie and Joran were friends before in the original world.
If I had to give a name to the party in 1, I honestly don't know. The goals they have shift too much throughout the game, and there's no real unique quality all of them have.
The party is 2 would be called Elysium. It's not even a discussion. The main enemy organization is named after a land they lost, and the heros are named after another land that was lost

Masha is fine, but I'm not super into the rougelite. Im sure once i upgrade some emblems it'll be fine, bit the grind for blue noponstone in the begining is kinda tough.
I'm pretty sure the white rein outfit for Lanz is based off of a color swap for Rein in Xeno 1, I feel like I used that one a lot. I maybe miss remembering though because I played a lot of white shulk in Smash long ago
Ok, so Eunie's B Alt costume, a lot of green and black with white and a few white accents. Doesn't really line up to one character until you take into account that they gave this to the character with wings. This is clearly a Finch reference. (This is a half joke as if it was Finch I feel the gold would have been red as that is really Finch's accent color more and it is putting a 2 blade on a 1 character. My mind just went to Finch when I saw the green and wings and it made me laugh.)

I wouldn't say the archsage necessarily has the ability to restrict lucky 7, it's just a rule of the gauntlet.

Sena's second outfit is a reference to Emperor Niall's outfit. Same colors, white and orange.
From the new trailer we got, Doyle being focused on developing and protecting the city makes a lot of sense.

Sena's second alt reminds me of certain armor styles for Melia in XC1. The resembalance is clearer if you compare it to XC1:DE.
A Cassini and Doyle could’ve mingle, and gave birth to Masha hence the hair and purple hair from the Cassini family and Doyle family. Most of the city folk have children so I can see families mingling to gain more power, and have more children, of course. So the different houses could’ve mingled a lot through the generations.❤❤❤❤❤
Oh yeah, there's likely been some cross breeding between the families at several points in team, along with those outside of House' lineages.

Not entirely! Although she doesn’t have Brighid’s Core Crystal, Sena’s *does* suspiciously resemble Aegaeon’s without the metallic fitting around it, which makes sense considering her ether lines look like his as well.
So… apparently Brighid/Aegaeon is a canon ship now.

I think I might’ve figured out what happened to Rex’s family and friends, I think Alves kill Pyra, Mythra, his daughter/son, with red hair, daughter/son with yellow hair, and everyone else. It would explain why he adopted Cassini and Why Shulk adopted Roud too. Because Alvis also killed Shulks son, Chyus , Fiora and everyone else. When Mio and Melie activated Origin causing Alvis to go rogue and kill everyone, except for Mio, Melie,Shulk,and Rex.
I’m at the end of the video and I would like to say that there is no way rex’s other two children founded house Rhodes. Obviously, mythra’s daughter is Alexandria and pyra’s daughter is Fiona.

What are Nopons? They exist in X so they are not Klaus creation , they're immune to Möbius and the flame clock.
Masha looks like M/Mio and she seems to know the Doyle family and the Vandham family probably had a fight with them about the city and what to do about Moebius and she could be from both families, technically. both of parents could be from both families. I know it seems a little icky,but keep in mind. The city folk aren’t gonna be picky about that sort of thing,when they have to keep the population up.

I've got a big theory on Riku (probably a 5 minute read). He's Tora and Rex's apprentice. A Nopon's lifespan hasn't ever been perfectly clear as both Alrest and Bionis state different things about Nopon. Riku is a Nopon of Aionios. In the Affinity Chart, his age is ??? just like the other legendary Nopon. He's a very talented Nopon Engineer, Has Rex's hairstyle, Knows both Nia and Melia but more Melia than Nia so that implies that Melia told Riku something before Origin decided to take over for good. Rex's hair probably means that he respects Rex and idolizes him just like Tora did (which probably means that Tora told Riku "The Story of Rex-Rex). To be as great of an engineer as he is, he'd have to have learned from the best being Tora. Though since both world combined, Riku probably got some teachings from Shulk (who's a bit of a tinkerer himself) to help with all the Mechanic stuff and at something he probably met Melia helping out shulk. If Riku is Playable or at least a tag-along/guest party member like he was at the start of XC3 in the DLC then that'll confirm all this wacky nonsense.
I never saw how Riku's hair is Rex's hair. Both have spikey hair, but in different ways. Rex's spike go in one direction, while Riku's hair is pointing in all directions.
3:00 not true you get the accessory for clearing every challenge mode related thing with S Rank on either easy, normal or hard, there isn't a specifc difficulty you need to complete it on the gauntlet at all.

My personal theory is that house Cissini and either Doyle or Vandham intermarried at some point. I mean it makes sense for it to have happened at some point to most of the houses.
Because Masha screams descended from Nia and Rex. White hair and gold eyes are not common traits in this universe. Though I do admit Masha's eyes are way more jewel like.
Ghondor is already proof that member of founder house will marry other house her mom is a Vandham and her dad is a Cassini. Heck one of the theories of the Cassini founder is that she’ll reuse Ghondor model for the DLC to complement the Reid founder who will likely reuse Shania model.
So she’s from the Cassini family, but one of the Doyle family members could’ve married a Cassini giving birth to Masha. because I still think she’s related to the Doyles, but on her mother’s side of the family. Because she looks exactly like M/Mio. But might be related to the Cassini family member too. As she could be from both families would explain why she looks like M/ Mio and Cassini family.

@@jackthomas9103 descended doesn't mean directly, at least Riki is confirmed to have daughters also Riki is known for adopting at least 1, The Nopon Caravans seem techy in nature compared to Bionis's Also Tora had to be around in Aionios form him to build Nia's chambers using Poppi.
The fact that one of the Nopon Blacksmiths is guarding Tora's resting place and that they work origin metal lends me to believe that they are related to both.

Also, the hair thing they did the same thing with Mio and Sena to give us a hint who they’re related to. It’s the same thing with Masha, but combined her with another character who is a descendent of Cassini. Cause a lot of characters are based off of each other sometimes, they’ll use it as a hint or just because they like the character I want to reuse the design.
