these videos are so much better than other drumming tutorials on TH-cam just because you talk about it much more musically than other people, keep it up!
4:27...... 5:10...... keep it going for a whole bar is pretty cool too. ALSO -- cool idea to alternate this with the Steve Gadd variation of this lick.
I appreciate this very much! Actually found you from a friend of mine talking. Never heard of these before, very helpful for learning a new style; something i need to work on. Please post more like this. P.S From a fellow Sabian lover I love your set up as well! many of yours are in fact my dream cymbals i have been wanting and hope to get in the future
cool vid , I do not remember coming across inverted doubles , if I have must have been long long time ago.. so long I forgot about them , nice aplication to the groove.
+Ben Minal This is no nice! Those hats sound incredible. Don't be afraid to crank the OHs a bit when you're demonstrating the lick though. I found it hard to hear the articulation on the ride and hats, so i turned it up, but then you started talking and it scared the heck out of me, haha. Now if only I could get this lick down pat...
+Jamie Pettersen thanks for the feedback Jamie! I'm hoping to make an interface upgrade soon that will give me more channels, so I can add a hi-hat mic
that's awesome! i need to read but whatever. working hands would help too lol. i dig the groove and lesson. never heard of them or considered they've have accents .. i played guitar mostly so there ;)
It basically just sounds like your playing the groove to "Dong work for Yuda" - Frank Zappa (Joes Garage) Vinnie Colaiuta on drums... check it out sometime Either way, nice groove... thanks for sharing!

+Blaine Ludeman cheers Blaine!
How tight do you tune your drum heads? How tight are the batter and resonant heads?
+Walter White snare is pretty tight on both heads. Toms are generally tuned up to the first resonant note they produce

Nice! Kinda like the Steve Gadd flutter beat.
Hi ben, could you a video on drum muffling please?
What would you want to know? :)
Charlie Lord how to muffle bass and toms
Nice !! Thank You )
Your groves are so fucking dope man!!!
+Fernando Rivera cheers dude!
What drumheads does he uses?
evans hydraulic (red and blue)
Roberto Alves on the snare?
Carlos Freites on snare he uses Evans Hybrid
Carlos Freites Evans hybrid amazing head although really expensive
Sounds killer but for me it seems like your snare hits are not accentuated at all? So the pattern is more like: l L r r ?
+Leon Haselbach true, normally when I'm filming playing these kinds of grooves the doubles on the snare are played as ghost notes
Dayumn didnt know Snowden was such a good drummer
I stopped watching when he said that it took him a long time to learn...
first
why do capitalise every title and put gay thumbnails?
+Donut City to catch your attention, as it has done 😉
