Absolutely sublime....Paul is exactly where he should be, musically ..not nostalgia, but progression with a voice gaining depth with maturity and unmistakably Draper.. Lyrically it's layered too.. beautiful work
It sounds pretty sinister, as if someone hiding behind a kind exterior. Feels like a track for a Bond movie. The music is rawer than Spooky Action, and to have a Paul Draper album that's heavier on guitar would be brilliant, so let's hope this is where the new album leads with plenty of grooves.

However, Omega man is stunning, I love it even though there seems to be something missing like a solo or something like that but it's still a gem. You and Wilson should do more promotion for this song like bring both sets of fans into it to generate more interest. I think now is the time to get a no. 1 because people are crying out for classic songs like this for years because they've been fed so much plastic garbage.... that it has left a dry taste in the mouths of the public in general. I don't even listen to the radio anymore music is so shit but If I was your manager I'd be doing everything to get this song to the public using every trick in the book. Hope this is a single and that it gets into the top 10 even though I think it's potentially a no.1 the song has to be marketed the correct way.
Was missing mansun and discovered Paul still write songs and my gosh his vocals sounds better as he age and the words is just another level!!!! Omg this is as classic as radiohead’s latest album
Some of Mansun's B-sides are their best work. Not sure where this fits yet. It may not re-write any loyalties with the message, but I always fall for the tone of Paul's vocal delivery and am definitely up to for seeing this live.
Would be interested to see if this is a "single edit" or if this is how it will appear on the album. Because as this is the first track on the album, this would be the first you could say had a short intro if it's this length. Beyond that, great stuff!

I didn’t really like it at first to the point I was disappointed, BUT it’s really grown on me. There’s a lot of layers to it. I actually love it now especially having bought the album and got the full length version. It’s actually a class tune. I just can’t help thinking it would have so much more depth with Rathbone on the sticks though
I think it's ok, had at least 10 listens now and it's not blowing me away which answers the question as to why he delayed this album of only 9 songs. I'm thinking he wasn't to confident in the songs that he's written for this album but has decided to put it out anyway. I think the majority of the songs from the first solo album were were all completed years ago so all he had to do was whip them into shape until they were the finished article. These songs sounds very recent, more like his b-sides which were pretty good but this song is nothing to write home about for me.

Yes, it is a great bass line. The e-email we got with the link to this track provides lots of info about the new album and it says Paul plays pretty much everything himself! Which wouldn’t surprise me, he’s certainly a very talented guy.

Excellent lyrics, massive riff, James Bond feel? Reminiscent of peak Mansun, what’s not to like? Tickets for next year, Ltd vinyl and 4 disc CD already bought.
Paul Draper for me has been the only good thing about music because since the 90s era as he's the only one with proper strong belting melodies. Since Brit Pop died or that era as I don't like that label but my point is that most bands today that get into the charts are playing the producers music. Paul, not only is an artist but a producer who writes his own lyrics and sings his own melodies. His melodies are always very strong and he always delivers so I hope he's got another good album left in him. The last time I saw Paul he was way overweight and look like he was drinking too much. He doesn't look healthy so I hope he gets his act together because he's one of the best artists in the world, even if he didn't manage to play massive venues like Wembley stadium. Oasis got there by copying The Beatles and using the news papers to stay relevant every day. Paul Draper did it his way and and he's highly regarded by other artists who know the score.
