I came across a man who delivered Amazon packages and he only spoke Spanish I did say “hello how are you?” And his reply was “only Spanish I only Spanish” so I said “oh! Ok hang on..” and I took my phone out for him to speak in to and it translates for me, even if you don’t speak it, there is always a way to try to understand ❤
I have some clients that speak very little to no English. It takes a little extra time to run a quote, but they are almost always some of my best clients. Working with them has helped me grow as a person in a few ways. I’ve come to admire them too. It’s crazy what we are capable of when we take enough time to treat people like humans. That’s all it is.
I agree with his comment in general, but I didn’t like that he was saying it to defend how mean the waitress was being… I mean it seemed like he only helped the waitress because he didn’t want her to lose her job or something, but had no problem with all of the nasty things she was saying about people living in America that don’t speak much English (plus the woman he was sitting with thought the waitress was just hilarious, and never once tried to defend the innocent people who just-so-happened to speak a different language) 💔💔💔
Yes that is correct I work in a restaurant business I am a cook working in a food service restaurant is extremely difficult but this man is correct if you are not going to be nice and help each other and help understand each other well then you just need to stay home and don't even bother coming to work
My husband grandma told our waitress one day at a Mexican restaurant to learn English as she was taking our order in Spanish I told her she does speak English she’s the owner since I’m bilingual and also Mexican. She told me this Spanish people need to learn English is nasty when you can’t communicate. I told her she isn’t from Spain so she isn’t Spanish and also not every one that speaks Spanish is from Spain. She’s Native American but super racist. We have stayed away from her for the past ten years now.
SC native here! I’d hire them any day. If they have the back ground I need they got the job. You don’t speak for the south. Some of us are better than the small minded Neanderthal mindset that is bigotry. We should show them the same hospitality and love.

She was being rude. She wanted help she could’ve asked for it. She wanted to degrade these people.
