1960's Japan Pencil Sharpener Restoration

- In this video, I restored one of these old hand cranked pencil sharpeners. Restoring mechanical items is always so interesting and this type of vintage sharpener are beautiful. The sharpener was very rusty and it didn't sharpen pens very well so it was in need of a restoration. This pencil sharpener is made by Mitsu - Bishi, possibly from the 1960's.
I spent a lot of time cleaning, paint and buffing rusted parts. I gave it to my daughter, she was very happy with this gift. I hope you are as well.

It looks a lot like a scientific / Architect pencil sharpener we had in the 70's!

You'd think Mitsubishi and Hitachi sharpeners would be allot more common in the used market being how popular the brands used to be. But they're sparse compared to Boston and Panasonic.
