I can totally relate to acting out of emotion and feeling like my conscious mind and reason, the real me, are stuck in this glass cage. I can see myself doing and saying things, but have no power to stop or alter what is going on. In the moment and in general this is rather frustrating. You talked about different characters being personifications of different sub-personalities; and I can totally see that. In a large fantsy project I am still in the beginning stages of, two of the main characters are kind of Jekyll and Hyde of myself, but not exactly. They are two differing mannerisms I can have and I just made one character be more one, and the other more the other. In this case, one is introverted and the other is extroverted, while a third character is kind of what I feel my core self is more along the lines of. The dynamic between the two opposite personalities creates banter and jokes over the course of the narrative, or such is my plan.
I love the care and introspection you're using here. I think this kind of inner awareness makes for much richer taletelling. I think it can also keep us honest, and avoid the trap of wish fulfillment. I hope to be as personal with my characters as you are sometime!
@LegendFiction Rainy days are the best, only to be topped by days of heavy snow. ;)

Naast de naam brengt billbil-kun nog enkele details naar buiten. Zo zou de game inmiddels al minimaal twee jaar in ontwikkeling zijn.
