Great video!! Brings back lots of memories. Born in 1942 I remember crossing the walking suspension Sunday mornings with my Dad to visit my aunt & uncle in south side. We would drive to the toll booth in Wilson Borough and walk across to the south side. Also played on the bridge as a child although told not to by our parents. Was a great time to be alive back then. Life was good. Thanks for the memories!

Awesome pics, I use to frequently fish this area. Always wondered what it looked like in it's heyday.

I had not seen this before. This is great. I am suprised that the number of views on this is not sky high. It is a great video. I ran across this while trying to find background information on why a railroad museum never materialized in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Ron you presented a great video on the Lehigh Valley railroad in Easton. I enjoyed it very much. 7 members of my family worked for the Lehigh Valley railroad out of Coxton Yard near Pittston. My great grandfather the late Stephen Kearney was an engineer, 4 grand uncles & 2 second cousins were the other 6 members of my family that worked on the Lehigh Valley railroad. I used to get great views of Coxton yard when I visited my grand aunt & grand uncles home on Union Street in Pittston during the late 1950’s,1960’s & very early 1970’s. I’m an n scale model railroader & my model railroad is the Pacific West Coast which will cover the entire West Coast from Tijuana, Baja California Norte,Mexico to Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada & it will focus from 1974 when I first got stationed in San Diego in the Navy & all the way up to the present time.

Ive always like the earlier LV steam from around 1900 to sometime in the 1920s. But unlike all the other Roads there hasnt been much in the way of books on them. L v seems to get the most attention just like the D&H in the diesel era

Very glad I clicked on this, extremely informative and well spoken! I love your 180 degree roundhouse. Are those kits put together side by side or was it all stick built? I was planning on putting together a roundhouse one day once I built another layout. I’m looking to model D&H’s roundhouse in Oneonta, NY which was nearly a full 360 so I was thinking doing a 180 for modeling purposes.
