My respect for David just increased a hundred fold. That's what it means to be human. We should look out for each other rather than resort to being at each other's throats.
David has an absolutely amazing vocal range and can hold his own out on the stage. A hard working touring heavy rock band captivating an audience... well apart from one particular naive tech geek that wasted a fantastic opportunity to appear on stage with these legends.

A lot of nasty comments here about Sammie "not getting off her phone" but, if you see the entire incident (there's footage around TH-cam), you'll that Dan and John went over (just as this video starts) and told her to record from the stage. She wasn't ignoring the band, she was getting an incredible opportunity and it was their idea.
So sad she was on her phone the whole time. I was there at the concert and if I went on stage, yeah I would take pictures but wouldn't be on my phone the whole time. We live in our phones wow.

It looks annoying but she was SMART if it was me I would be so taken with the moment I wouldn't she immortalized it in pictures videos she can relive that moment over and over for the rest of her life
The last fucking thing I'd be doing is sitting on my phone ... it's a millennial disease. I could get it for like 3 or 4 minutes to do a couple things, but the whole time?
She had to share her "proof" of being chosen for such a special moment perhaps on instagram - she completely sacrified that real present moment for her stupid not real idea of presence. Such sad experience to see this "wasted magical moment"....for a hearty fan at least.
She just punished herself enough with wasting the special moment. No need to ban anything...man, free your mind! This regulation mind tendencies are cancer. I write this with respect...
