I think this cargo ship could be converted into a themed botel. It could make a better botel than the botel nest to it. The botel next to it is quite run down and the rooms are quite small. Even with renovation it doesn't really look great for a modern London hotel. While a converted cargo ship could make a very unique hotel. The 4 crew rooms could be refurbished and made to look the part (the 5th crew room is too small to be useable). The ships bridge could be turned into a themed lounge. Then in the middle part of the ship they could put shipping container hotel rooms on it. Guests could have a choice between 30 new luxury shipping container rooms, or 4 themed crew rooms. The ship would have to be repainted and made to look like an unusual unique hotel, rather than just a run down ship. It would have to be parked in a basin (on the Thames the currents would make it wobble too much), St Kathrin's dock could be a good location. I think it could be profitable. You could buy the ship for almost nothing. It would then have to be taken into dry dock to have the rust painted (the expensive part), the crew rooms need refurbishing. Then 30 pre-fabricated hotel rooms would have to be brought.

I doubt it's being scrapped. And that damage around the bow isn't from a collision. It's because the boat has been in rough seas and the hull plating has been deformed. If you look carefully you can clearly see the straight lines of the hull ribbing behind the plates that have all been pushed inwards by the wave action.
It's quite common to see this amount of stuff left behind in places like this. Even in ships that really are being scrapped it's amazing what is left.
There's some quite interesting videos on youtube looking around inside full sized cruise ships being scrapped in Turkey or India. These are floating hotels where everything is left behind. Bedding, linen, TV,s PA systems and lighting systems in the theaters, all the kitchen and dining room equipment . . . .

so i have looked deeper into the history of this boat and it was built in 1983 and was last owned by thames shipping, who i think went under. Looking at their twitter they had to lay up all of their boats until further notice, including the yasam rose, which was this boat. The last tweet they sent was August 17th 2020 which was the one where they said they had to lay up all of their boats, meaning that the boat probably has not been abandoned for long (2 years max). not sure why peoples stuff is still on the boat but from what i can find the boat hasn't had any major accidents and has just been layed up.
This looks like a crap hotel in Hammersmith I stayed at, except it was much smaller and much filthier. I had to switch my room TWICE when I opened the door in my room. And no refunds were given.

The crew may have left stuff behind not because they thought they would be back working on the boat soon, and didn’t want to take stuff they only really needed on the boat.
If that was the case they would have had time to collect their belongings. Nobody would leave their medication on a boat unless they had no other choice.

10:50 Sounds Like That Is Actually Already 2 Or 3 Years Past It's Normal Best Before Date. I wouldn't recommend using that on food.

They had to emergency evacuate it. No time to collect belongings. I don't know why the crews belongings were not sent back to them later.

Being out in the river it helps keep the idiots out, although over the time I went in the botel, its condition did deteriorate slowly due to people going in it. Abandoned buildings other go from being perfect to trashed in just a single year. Too many people smash them up. Just look what happened to Belsize bunker. It was untouched from the war and was pristine. A year later it has water damage, a lot of the lights no longer work, the lifts no longer work, and some twat has graffitied it.
