I am worried about being caught. If anyone saw us (and wasn't half asleep) they would have thought we were burgling the place. We must have looked so dodgy nosing around the place. You really need to know the law when doing URBEX so you can get yourself out of it and not allow the police or security to say that it is any more than civil trespass.
Vagrancy Act 1824, was a law passed a very long time ago. There are many laws that are old victorian laws that are no longer used. When the police resort to reusing outdated laws it makes them look desperate and pathetic. You say that some people were charged with the Vagrant Act for URBEX, firstly a forum is not proof of this, secondly if this is the case then the people probably self confessed to the police as they were scared and the police probably did their usual tactic of making you feel that self confessing (even to crimes you didn't do) will reduce the amount of trouble you are in, even though this is completely not true. Then I am guessing that the people pleaded guilty so that whether the offence was committed or not was not questioned. Also you created your account on the 4th December.
