‘Arrogant’: Sky News host slams Victorian Labor government

  • Sky News host Paul Murray has slammed the Victorian Labor government following a new proposal amid pushback over transmission lines and towers.
The state government has set up a planning agency called VicGrid, which is meant to improve the consultation and planning process.
One proposal being considered is one-off payments of up to $40,000 in compensation to neighbours who are significantly impacted by the projects.
“This government can become so arrogant assuming they can screw over their own people, offer them four-fifths of bugger all, tax them up the yin yang and just will always be in power,” Mr Murray said.

The media in Victoria is owned by Labor, that's why they allowed Dictator Dan to get away with everything. They refuse to report on opposition policy or response except in a negative light. Unfortunately the current leader of the Vic Libs is an idiot who is trying to impress the inner city rather than normal everyday Victorians. And lets not forget the woke stain that runs through both parties interfering with realistic policy that will fix this mess. Reality and ideology cannot co-exist if we want to fix our problems, in fact ideology really has no place in politics. We need to get firmly back into reality or suffer for many years to come.

ALP figures say $17 billion for a nuclear reactor. They also say the new infrastructure (transmission lines) alone will cost $3.4 trillion. This doesn't include the cost of the actual solar or wind farms. So, just build 40 reactors where the transmission infrastructure exists already and save $2.7 trillion. Simple. And, yes, I'm more than happy to have reactors in my area.,

Both Labor and the LNP made the stupid decision to allow 4 year terms. Purportedly, the idea was to giver a government enough time to implement some policies without having an election getting in the way. This reasoning is nonsense because if a government were to govern as expected during a three-year term, it would be re-elected anyhow. However with a four year term if a government is incompetent, corrupt and not meeting expectations then it should be thrown out after three years.

At the very least the Libs would cease this ridiculous SRL and save Victorian taxpayers 35 billion dollars. That's money that could be directed on things we actually need, like hospitals , social housing , paramedics, etc. People in Victoria have to stop being so bloody apathetic . Once de-bugging is completed, and they are operational and profitable - The LNP could sell them at a discount to private investors.
