Huh, I thought it was supposed to display the "Stolen from Apple" icon designed by Susan Kare, featuring a little guy behind the bars of a jail cell? Andy Hertzfeld includes an image of it on the relevant folklore page if you haven't seen it. He also says the routine they wrote was supposed to enlarge the icon and display it prominently in the centre of the screen. Was this a different revision perhaps? Either way, great video on a super interesting subject; I'd heard about this obviously but never seen it actually being displayed, so thanks very much!
