    Welcome to the DIY Semi channel.
    In this video I'll show you how to fix a non working blower motor.
    If your blower motor goes out, it could be the motor, a fuse,relay, or the motor itself.
    I had some problems along the way and almost gave up on it. But I was determined to figure this out.
    I learned some valuable lessons along the way. So if you stay tuned all the way through, you won't make the same mistakes I did. Which will save you time and aggravation.
    If you are enjoying my videos the best way you can support me is to give me a thumbs up and hit that subscribe button!

      @@robertkimaryo7178 I used to have the same problem you have sir. It was the temperature control unit A/C Heater Control Panel. So I went to a local junk yard and bought one from there. It works like how it supposed to.

      I installed new blower motor and new connector wire and new control panel recently on my columbia 2007. When i start my truck sonetime blower works sometimes not, then i have to move the connector up n down then it starts working, but whenever i turn off my truck this problem keeps happening. What could be the problem, any ideas? Thanks

    HUGE THANKS!! I have a 2015 Columbia and the blower motor stopped working. It was that 30A unmarked fuse... only it had a loose connection. When I wiggled it, it started working again, but the base the fuse plugs in to had to be replaced. I also had cleaned the entire panel, as it was very dusty and grimy. I would also suggest anyone else having problems with their blower to clean the entire fuse panel as well as to avoid any future maintenance issues. I bought this tractor only a couple of months ago used and still getting to know her LOL but man I tell you that saved me a trip to the shop I'm glad I found your page. 👍🏽👍🏼

    Thank you for your video. I had a similar issue. Someone had removed the unmarked 30A fuse for the blower motor. On a side note, your truck is wired correctly. If you look at your wiring schematic again 12V positive is on terminal #4 and ground is on terminal #3. The electrical plug has small numbers labeling each terminal location. Even though the schematic is drawn showing the positive and ground wires on the edge of the plug, you have to reference the terminal number to find its exact location. Thanks again.

    If you look at the diagram the battery+ and ground are pin 3 and 4. If you look at the screen at 12:34 you can see the pin numbers on the diagram. In a 6 pin plug these would be the center two terminals. The diagram was right. But you should always verify powers and grounds before replacing components.

    Hello I have a question at 12:39
    My sleeper blower not working the wiring is the same for the pins:
    #3 is ground
    #4 is 12 volts dc
    #6 is my variable speed control about 2.29-5.75volts from off to high speed
    #1 is the feed back which I’m getting 5.002 volts consistently.
    Is this correct? This is what I’m getting. I’ve replace the blower with its resistor that comes with it but no luck. Thank you

    I have a 2016 Coronado glider that I’ve been driving since new as a company driver and have just recently bought the truck from the company. Now that jobs like this come out of my pocket where do you get your wiring diagrams from? I was an auto tech for a few years and have done my own electrical diagnostics on my personal vehicles so I know the process of elimination but haven’t found a source for information like diagrams and other diagnostics on my Freightliner, besides the dealer, which I really don’t think they like giving any information other than handing you a bill for repair. The Coronado has exactly the same interior as a Columbia or century, so it’s still pretty old school yet. LMK thanks.

    • @DIYSEMI
      @DIYSEMI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually if i buy the part at freightliner they will give me a diagram, i ask for a couple different ones and they usually give it to me.. I have also found some just by googling it and do a little comparison. I havent really found a good source other than that

  • @jasonwickens0813
    @jasonwickens0813 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Fuses not labeled due to aftermarket items, glider kit install. PDM has more slots for add ons. SCHEINDER tech did not make note or obviously label. Yes at a dealer this job would have been every bit of 1500 to 2200. More on high end. Dealers have been using C techs due to mechanical tech shortages.

    I installed new motor and new connector wire on my columbia 2007. When i start my truck sonetime blower works sometimes not, then i have to move the connector up n down then it starts working, but whenever i turn off my truck this problem keeps happening. What could be the problem, any ideas? Thanks

    My defroster button won't turn off even if the blower isn't on it will stay on. Once I start the truck a few second later the light goes on

    I have a motorhome on a freightliner chassis, my climate control ( 3 knobs) has a vcuum leak. I called the dealer to get a new control head. No longer available. I heard this control head can be rebuilt. Does anyone know of a place who rebuilds climate controls. Thanks so much guys.
