How to install C7 Carbon's- 5th Gen Camaro Z/28 Side Skirts

- After waiting nearly 5 months for these side skirts, I finally got them installed. I am by no means a professional, but I used additional tools to install the side skirts, other than the small tap screws they included. Carbon Fiber on a Fifth Gen always looks great and the strong material saved my rear end in my last video!

Your videos suddenly popped up in my recommended and I'm glad they did. I love how you're always smiling and upbeat about everything. I had a 2013 camaro ss for a while before I got my 2017 5.0, and I really enjoyed that car. Kinda wish I would have kept it and had both my mustang and the camaro. It was the first car I ever ordered new and literally took delivery directly after it rolled off the transport truck. Its awesome to see a hot female willing to install her own mods too. You should collab with Raquel Leigh...aka lsxbitch....she has a badass 2011 ss herself. You both love camaros, do your own work and have nice cars

The 5th gems are so nice, and the aftermarket support probably makes them so much fun to own, can’t wait to get mine!
One more tip...when drilling through delicate material like carbon fiber, I would recommend using a Dremel instead of a regular drill, because the Dremel operates at a MUCH higher RPM, and therefore drastically reduces the chance of cracking and even chipping.

In any other time doing this again, after drill pilot holes in parts n in the car! Put clear silicone in the holes generously so moisture doesn't get in their an cause rust, great that your in Arizona I think!! Here in midwest neededs to be done..

Instead of using standard nuts with lock washers, I would highly recommend using NYLON INSERT LOCKING NUTS (PREFERABLY STAINLESS STEEL ONES). Nylon insert nuts will NEVER vibrate off...they can ONLY be removed with a socket set or wrench....and if you get the stainless steel ones, you will never have to worry about rust...and those nuts are in a very vulnerable area to potentially rust.

I used a rivet gun on my vette for its skirts. Ive found that rivets tend to work better then the screws.
I used bolts in the edges on the skirt.. the included screws have already fallen off so I think I need to go get a rivet gun. Smart idea!

@847 in, you are soooo lucky them Goldie Locks didn't get sucked into that drill and rip your hair out!! I promise the drill will not spank you b4 pulling your hair so it's not going to be all that fun. PLZ put your hair up when using power tools! I can not stress that enough! The pony tailed dude on my carpenter crew was ripping plywood w/ a circular saw, he bent down lower to see his pencil mark and the saw got a hold of his man bun/ pony tail, whatever it was and ripped it right out of his head complete with some scalp. Not a pretty sight.

It's great that you work on your car but just a fyi a bolt is when you have a nut on the other end and a screw is when there is no bolt but just screws into the material
I know that! Sorry if I mixed up some language but I used two bolts with a nut on the back side.. just didn’t show footage of the nut since it was very difficult to squeeze it in. The self tap screws were used but most of them already fell out!

I'd love to slap the ZL1 rockers on mine but they call for rivets for whatever reason.
