so in this school trilogy Jae (pink hair) is the girl's best friend, Sungjin (the raspy voice) likes the girl, Wonpil is Sungjin's best friend -(who Day6 said we can interpret that likes Sungjin hfkdkdsjjsd)- who's the observer and knows everything, Young K (the cold) is the one who the girl likes, and Dowoon is the quiet guy who everyone likes including Young K lmao i know it's a whole high school drama but it's cute 😆

We can say that "You were beautiful" is the continuation of "Congratulation" MV. After they broke up at congratulation, the girl watching their old video in you were beautiful mv
Oh really?! I totally didn’t consider that those would be connected at all. I’m assuming this MV came right after Congratulations, so maybe I would’ve thought differently having watched it back to back.
@@rjkpop The songs were actually years apart, but it’s the same actors and a lot of the same clips from that MV.
I think the pov of the girl looking back fondly on the relationship and appreciating that it was a good time in her life (even though she ended things and doesn’t necessarily want to get back together), really balances out the hurt, sarcasm and heartbreak from the guy’s pov in Congratulations.

Every day 6 was unmatched. Every month i had something to look out for.

Just a little detail that might be hard to catch for those who can't read korean, in the beginning of 'when you love someone', it says "3 days earlier". So basically the events in the 3rd mv (up to sungjin's full confession) all happened before the events in the 2nd mv 'i loved you". 😊

@@rjkpop Yup! Which is why in the 2nd mv, youngk and the girl were already friendly with each other because it happened after she took his side at the convenience store. Jae's storyline makes more sense too once you've known this bit.
Also, in the 3rd mv where dowoon is all alone at home, it was marked in the calendar that it was his birthday and his parents are not around and just left him some money. Dowoon and youngk were both loners at school before but dowoon was the popular type and youngk was the outcast type. Now they became friends after youngk defended him from that big guy at the arcade. Not entirely sure but I like to think that the night at the arcade happend on dowoon's birthday cuz the thought of dowoon spending his birthday alone at first but then eventually spending it with a new friend that is youngk makes me happy hahah
@@gelubeans7 months late, but I’m assuming the plot is that sungjin likes the schoolgirl, but the schoolgirl likes young k, young k might(?) end up liking her back, but in the meantime befriended dowoon, jae is the schoolgirl’s friend who likes the worker at the coffee shop. And wonpil either likes the schoolgirl or sungjin. This is just my assumption 🥲

Trust me we all had that thought haha I always interpreted as Wonpil being in love with his BFF Sungjin but Sungjin liked that girl who in turn liked Young K lol then Dowoon and Young K who are loners strike up an unexpected friendship.
I never got the story line exactly back then, but the girl is bestie with Jae (who likes a cute cafe girl) and has a crush on Young K. But Sungjin has a crush on the girl while Wonpil has a crush on Sungjin. Dowoon was the cool boy with a fanclub and Young K befriended him. Idk if there's a story line for those two.
"You Were Beautiful" is like their anthem. Everyone knows the song and will sing along if they hear it

Ok I’m back lol, I was doing the whole airport/ travel thing while watching the video yesterday so I couldn’t really comment and engage the way I wanted to, so here I am again!😅
One thing you’ll hear a lot from MyDay (Day6 fans) is that they truly have no duds in their discography and it’s not just our bias talking; these guys are excellent songwriters and musicians so even their least remarkable songs are objectively very good!
Wanted to point out specifically that their live performances are often better than studio versions. They are also uniquely skilled at taking relatively sad subject matter / lyrics and making it a bop 😂 Day6 album listens are an emotional rollercoaster for sure!!
My list of recommendations is a mile-long, so I’ll try not to overwhelm and only share a few right now.

He’s also a very prolific songwriter and writes for many other artists/ groups. He just got out of the military about a month ago and during his first live, Twice’s Jeongyeon was in the comments begging him to write a song for them 😂
I’ve always thought the notion of having more than one “Ult bias” made no sense, but YoungK has elbowed his way into that spot for me, alongside Baekhyun 💕😭

for “what can i do”, they revealed that wonpil did indeed like sungjae which is why he kept looking at him

You should check their MV`s "I Wait", "How can I say" аnd "If", it sounds different from the songs that you reacted to
What we should pay attention to is the lyrics of the song from the 17:16 part. The camera focus on Wonpil, who sings about his heart toward Sungjin. Wonpil give her keychain to sungjin because he likes Sungjin, and wants Sungjin not to be hurt. I think the reason why Wonpil saw the doll in his hand while hanging upside down from an iron rod was because he was having an internal conflict with whether to deliver it to Sungjin or to pretend not to know. Wonpil likes Sungjin, so he has half of his heart that he doesn’t want to be connected with sungjin and her, and half of he heart that he(sungjin) doesn’t want to be hurt. But, Wonpil gave the keychain because he never want sungjin be hurt. This is because he loves him.

I know a lot of people already said it but there are some things I think people missed so ima put my own comment anyways
So the storyline here basically is Young K (short dark hair) is a cold type of person who probably is hated by students (as seen as those girls making threatening gestures at him), the main girl is best friends with Jae (glasses), who sees the girl at the cafe and starts liking her, Doowon is a rich kid who gets no attention from his parents (the note was from their parents and they basically left him money in the third mv) but is smart and liked by girls but keeps to himself so he's pretty lonely, Young K be friends him, Sungjin and Wonpil are best friends and sungjin likes the main girl but Wonpil likes Sungjin (was confirmed by Jae himself), but Wonpil has been observing the whole time and sees Sungjin likes the girl who likes Young K (which seems Young K probably likes back eventually) and the third mv does in fact happen before the 2nd mv.
Sungjin basically confessed to her but told her that she didn't need to answer him he just wanted her to know.
Tbh I really like mvs that are connected with a storyline (meaning ofc groups that don't have a universe or a storyline throughout their mvs)

i know people are split on this but i highkey love the idea of youngk and dowoon being a couple here. not just because of the cute af scene outside the convenience store, but because at the start of the first mv mr. bad boy youngk tries to drive away the girls disturbing dowoon, and dowoon leaves the classroom immediately after youngk does. ofc its a very cute friendship too, but it ticks all my boxes for my favourite kind of romance stories

That's why Day6 is my fav group, because they're vocals are amazing on their own but when you put them together it's just masterclass. JYP scored big time when putting them together. They all know how to utilize their voices and tone. They all grow and it shows in their latest album. They just went all out with their vocals.
