Ofcoarse myfolks had a beautiful 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS hardtop and a number of years later I personally had a 1966 AMC Ambassador DPL hardtop which was also in nice shape and a pretty sharp and good running car as well!!.
in 66, my dad purchased a Chevy Caprice. I recall numerous road trips in the back seat of that beautiful beast. In the late 80s, my mom gave that car to my brother which he used to drive to high school. The beautiful mint green baby finally met her fate in about 1990 when a careless drive crashed in to my brother. He cried when the car was demolished. RIP green giant.
You keep coming up with some great topics and videos. I like how you covered the world and did not limit it to just the United States. I enjoyed the footage and information. Again your extensive efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
As a longtime career mechanic, in about 1989 bought a 65 Galaxie, 390, AT, PS, PB two-door, came in on trade-in...It was straight, started & drove fine, baby-blue, some primer here & there...the interior was trashed, door panels OK, but needed all upholstery , paid one-hundred-fifty for it...lotsa room inside. "Sold" it to my sister who gave it to her daughter.
This is a very informative classic car post. It's especially nice to receive such detailed stats making it easy to compare these models to each other. Thank you. 👍🏾❤️🚘
It's always a treat seeing your newest video pop up in my feed. In my view, 1965 was the pinnacle of American car design. The GM's in particular - especially Pontiac - are stunning. One request, however: I wish I could get you to pronounce Lancia as "Lahncha," the way the Italians intended!
6:03 our family had this same identical 65' 98, same color with the same vinyl top 4 door. Inside was like a limosine, and drove like riding on a cloud.
excellent video, I'm trying to compile a list of all the cars since 1964, but only the top of the range in each body styles for every model for every year. Its my dream to win a $$billion dollars and open a museum one day.....one day lol. Your videos are an inspiration!
think lot of 1965-67 ... 4 door post /4 dr hardtop and some wagons could be ordered with a 4 speed , small block or big block ,like t at 1:10 he basic 4 dr post Biscayne with a 4 speed 327 is ok
Engine sizes of 50's thru 70's are generally quoted in cubic inches, not liters, with the exception of Fords 65/66 7 liter, which was done for marketing.
Imperial did it right. If you want to spend over 6k on a "luxury" car, with Imperial you got real African walnut on the dash and door inserts, not cheap stick on appliqué with Cadillacs and Lincolns. Between the three, the Imperials were supposed to be the quietest.
I’m having grade school flashbacks. These cars were EVERYWHERE. Who didn’t know somebody who had a Chevy Impala?

A sad ending.

Thanks, I think this series of videos will keep me busy for awhile.

Fantastic!!! I dont hear ir see any hopelessness!!!!
Great rundown of these vehicles. My parents had a '65 Chevrolet Impala sedan and a '65 Ford Galaxie 500 sedan, both really nice cars.
Iconic family cars.
My favorite car over the years was a 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham, what a dream!
JIM ❤
Impressive video of knowledge! You covered it all! Thank you for posting.
Thanks for watching.

This is just car-person ASMR. I feel somewhat refreshed.
I understand.
Hopelessly encompassing. Loving it
Thanks.
Thank you. Happy late Thanksgiving to your family.

Dad had a tempest, I think it was a 68or 69.
Great looking gas guzzlers. Very informative and interesting video.😊😊
When I was discharged from the service in 1970, I bought a new 1970 Chevy BelAir sedan with 350 v8 and Powerglide transmission.
Cool.

Awesome specimens.

Keep em coming 😗👌
I love them all!
Me too.
thank you
You had some real serious he-man's types of cars back in the day...as opposed to the "girliemobiles" of the present!!
All foreign cars after 9:00 in folks.
Automatics on Chevys, were two speed.
Some were. And on others as well.
@@thehopelesscarguy THM was avalabe in 1966.

Not going to get much past 130mph with the 3 speed transmissions during this era.
Big blocks were all the rage. Actually there were
some great small blocks, yet all these are
to(!)heavy.
A lot of that weight was the big block. The cars were actually not that heavy for their size. Partly thanks to manual seats and windows.
