Yup! 👍
this was the ultimate JIT short for me, I owe you! I was just done (or so I thought) with a video where I speeded up a clip, and had uploaded it to YT. I was devastated when I found out it caused a 3 second audio desync for the rest of the video. I checked my edit in DVR, and started to line up the clips to the waveform. I took a short break, then this short popped up in my notifications. I did as instructed, and it saved me a ton of time and frustration! Thank you, Daniel! Sincerely a dude from Norway trying to learn editing at the age of 50
@@Daniel_Batal is it for studio version or free one sir...
Dude! You are unreal... Thanks a million!
Happy to help!
Daniel, your channel has quickly become one of my faves with all your helpful tips. You freakin rock dude!! 🤘🏼
Awesome, thank you! 🙏
I just started recprding local shows with multiple cameras and this is perfect thank you so much
Right on! Hope this speeds up your workflow
That’s insanely awesome 🎉❤
A tip for split recordings (eg GoPros that make a new file every 10 mins or so)… you have to put each clip on its own tracks and then you can Auto Align Clips.
I'm new to davinci resolve and i have a lot of travel videos i wanted to edit, thank you for these tips, you are amazing ❤
Happy to help!
Super helpful and no time wasted thank you very much!
You're welcome!
Awesome tip mr Daniel. Great job.

Wow 🤯
Great videos. They are so helpful to me.
Happy to help!
I love these. You never go in without a like from a noob like me. 😊
Much appreciated!
That's sick as hell
Woah amazing 👏
Daniel, always good to know. Since we're moving forward with version 19, can you conform that this will work with prior versions as well. Thanks for the great videos!
It was available in v.18
This is so simple yet exactly what I needed... Like a year ago but still
Ha! Sorry. Better late than never..? 😜
You’re the best 👍
Thanks! 🙏
Awesome.
Very nice.
Thank you! ☮️
wow that's an incredible advice! But how to keep fixed only one of the two audio clips? Because when it auto align, give precedence to the main audio of the video
You control all of that. Take a minute to actually use this functionality and you'll see you choose which track aligns to which user-defined precedence.
@ ok thank you so much😊 you're the best!
Thanks, rock star! 😊
#StillNotaRockStar 😜
So much more straightforward than Adobe
On some things 😅
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
How I wish the waveform sync worked this well on music videos.
Keep in mind it’s referencing similarities in the wave form.
So it works just fine with music tracks as long as it’s referencing a similar audio track
Awesome! Is this in the free version too or just Studio?
It's in the free version as well. There's not much locked behind the paid version and almost none if it is anything someone other than a professional would need
@@RobertJBareIII I know of one thing that’s only in studio (new music remix tool) was why I asked. I get excited about these things then realize they are only in studio, lol.
@JasonLorette oh yeah I can't speak to any new tools they're coming out with. But the standard editor features like audio sync and others are all free for the most part. Some notable ones that aren't are things like noise reduction and lens correction.
Great channel
Thanks!🙏
it's great if it's possible I've worked on a project where DR couldn't and it was back to the ole cut and align drawing board. I also tried to use subframe scrubbing and wasn't able to get it to match the whole way through the clip.
Hmmm… haven’t had that issue. I suppose it’s possible if you were not capturing your audio on the same device that you were capturing your video you could end up with bitrate alignment issue
@@Daniel_Batal Yeah that's what it was the audio from the main board was bad and the band had a separate mixed recording of the live performance so they didn't match and I had to do multiple cuts of the video to match the mixed recording.
I’d like a Noob video of how to make an intro with changeable titles using ttf font from logo branding, so file can start each new timeline, perhaps it has a moving subtitle but brand title remains the same and how to add in colour ?
You want to use Fusion for that--> th-cam.com/users/liveV_hm-kCWWwY?si=m2SjSoRzHGI6zwD6
wild that I have the most basic 2 waveforms both are clear. but it won't sync... idk what to do... its silly
Are both wave forms microphone captures of the same audio source?
Can u do a edit with the cuts of the music in premiere pro u click m every time the beat drop and then u add it automated to the sequence but how we do that in davinci
You definitely can,but to be honest, the best way is with a third party plugin called BeatEdit
Thx a lot !!
You're welcome!
No way😱😱
Yeah way.
plz tell how to navigate viewport like how to zoom in viewport and navigate?

I almost always shoot in my studio with two cameras. I use this method sand then delete one of the audio tracks.
Same.
Can you only do two at a time?
Nope, you can do more than two
@@Daniel_Batal ok I will play around with it. I can only get it with two. Thanks Daniel
How about multiple clips for a music video please
I just filmed a music video!
(th-cam.com/video/euSeHmDgdsE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s_wSwwYypLIAploJ)
As long as all your clips have the music track embedded into them, you can absolutely sync them using the auto sync feature.
There were one or two for me where the sound had enough other noises picked up by the microphones (or where the footage was filmed at different track speeds) that I had to do it manually by looking at the waveforms.
@ thank you so much ! You’re the reason we are all leveling up and we keep learning
Hello again good sir, I have a question, I currently dub videos for another channel into a different language, so when I record the voice over I have to manually sync the audio with the video and naturally it takes hours and hours, is there a way that would either do it automatically, or more efficiently?
My two cents; I’d use a third party AI language dubbing feature.
what if I want my clips to ripple instead of separate audio track!
Not sure I understand your question.
Ripple is the function of moving clips together in your timeline when an asset is removed from that timeline. Could you rephrase your questions with more specificity as to exactly what you're trying to do?
@Daniel_Batal sorry about that, If I was importing a video clip over timeline and adding a voice over recorder audio clip to audio track 2 and auto align then the audio track 2 audio clip was moving and I wanted the video clip to move during align keeping audio track 2 as it is, but I found the solution
This tip work on the free version?
I believe so. If I’m wrong, let me know
@@Daniel_Batal yess bro it's work on free version also
friend align auto clips is only for one to one footage what aboyt more?
You can do more than one. You can select as many clips as you’d like and auto align them.
@@Daniel_Batal i have studio 19 vers and no cant align more clips at once
❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!
Any clue why I don't have this option?
You should.
Though I did notice on one of recent updates, it had a glitch where even though I had properly selected two video+audio tracks to align, the option was disabled.
I had to restart the software to get it to appear.
Not sure why 🤔
I'm on 19 free and auto-align isn't showing in the list when I right click. Is this possibly a paid feature? Thanks
No, this is available in the free version. There must be some other reason why it’s not appearing for you.🤔
@@Daniel_Batal thanks, I'll do some more investigating. Everything you show is in the menu but the auto align.
This is why i switched from capcut to da vinci since audios dont align after exporting
Unfortunately that can happen with any software if you’re not careful about your frame rate and bitrate
This has never worked for me so far.
I tried with music, voice overs, interviews and so on and I always get an error message that it couldn't sync. And I just don't know why. I feel like I've searched the entire internet for a solution now without any success. :/
Works for me great! What are you using for reference tracks and how are you applying settings?
@@Daniel_Batal Hey man :)
Thanks for the super quick answer.
So as an example:
I have a facecam recording
1 video track
1 audio track (integrated mic of the camera)
I have a screen recording
1 video track
1 audio track (desktop sound)
1 audio track (voiceover/mic recording)
I put those on top of each other in the timeline, I highlight both, right click -> auto align clips -> based on waveform.
Then a pop up window appears and it's "loading" for a few seconds and after it reaches 100% a pop up window appears that says: "Auto Sync Failed - No match was found when attempting to align these clips"
And in the list below the file name of my facecam footage shows up.
I checked the wave forms with my eyes and you can perfectly see the peaks and valleys. So I don't know what's the problem here :/
Oh and I'm using the free version but as far as a read it should also work in the free version.
I dont see an auto align.. what do i do?
Hard to say because I don’t know your specific issue.
Here’s a few suggestions.
The Auto Align Clips function in DaVinci Resolve might not appear or work for several reasons. Here's a breakdown of possible causes:
1. Wrong Page
- The Auto Align Clips feature is only available in the Edit and Media pages. If you're in a different page, such as the Cut, Fairlight, or Color page, you won't see it.
2. Clips Not Selected
- You need to select at least two clips in the timeline or the media pool for the Auto Align Clips option to appear.
3. Unsupported Media Types
- Auto Align Clips requires media with matching timecode, audio waveforms, or in some cases, metadata. If your media lacks these (e.g., video-only clips without audio or incorrect timecode), the option may not appear.
4. Disabled Audio Waveform Sync
- If the audio waveform sync functionality is disabled in project settings, Resolve might not offer Auto Align based on waveform.
5. Clips on Different Timelines
- If the clips you want to align are on separate timelines or in different bins, the function won't appear. All clips must be within the same context.
6. Not in the Context Menu
- Sometimes users look for Auto Align in the right-click menu. It might not be there unless clips are correctly selected. Try accessing it via the top menu: **Timeline > Auto Align Clips**.
### 7. **Project or Software Issue**
- Corrupt project settings or software bugs can cause the function to disappear. Restarting DaVinci Resolve or resetting project settings can help.
8. Unsupported Resolve Version
- Auto Align Clips is available only in certain versions of DaVinci Resolve. Make sure you're using a version that includes this feature (e.g., it might be restricted in DaVinci Resolve Lite or very old versions).
Quick Fix Steps:
1. Ensure you're in the Edit or Media page.
2. Select at least two clips that can be aligned.
3. Check if the media has timecode or audio for waveform sync.
4. Restart DaVinci Resolve to eliminate any temporary glitches.
5. Update to the latest version if you're using an older one.
Why it is not showing in my project
Hard to say but typically the reason is 'user error'. Retrace your steps and look for what is different in your project than the one I showed.
ie. are you on the right page, are any of your tracks locked, is auto track selector turned off, etc.
Anyway I clicked onto link clips, the very last option and it served as solution of the problem I was facing.
Bro i have to get your help
When i have installed resolve its checked my pc performances, and it was all good
But when i use it i can't even place a video normally and it was burning my pc ( i opened it in windows 8 start mode because it wasn't opening with me)

Uh iPad?
All of the videos on my channel are specific to the desktop version unless I specify iPad version in the title or video.
That being said if you apply the page hack that most iPad users are aware of, you can access the Edit Page and open more of the desktop features with an attached USB keyboard.
Use the keyboard and hit shift + clip select (hold finger on screen when selecting second audio track) and with both tracks selected, it will give you the right click menu and you’ll see ‘auto align clips’
@ thanks
I literally don't have that option on my right click menu😂😂😂😂😂😂
It only appears when you’ve properly selected tracks that can actually be synced
The bandican
Still my favorite ease-of-use 4K screen recorder
You are right davinci resolve for noobsq
Too simple for you?
I don't have that. Looked over and over. No got!
Hmm… I don’t think this is a studio only feature? (Though it could be)
Which OS are you using and which version of resolved you have installed?
@@Daniel_Batal Thanks! I do have Studio but I found it after I loaded the most recent version. Love your work. Would love to see a video on multiple camera angles in the edit page not the cut page.
Great suggestion. I’ll make a note of this and see if I can incorporate that into a future video. ☮️
Freaking could have used that a few months ago
