My uncle was in the army. Seeing this is just so emotional and it hits so different. My uncle is luckily still here today so I didn’t have to go through the pain. He was my best friend but he changed after he came back from the army. I miss the old him but hey, it is what it is. I was like 2 or 3 when he left and like 7 or 8 when he came back. My grandma passed away from stomach cancer while he was gone so I thought maybe that’s why. But yeah I am also in civil air patrol as one of my electives I’m in 7th grade btw. Well 8th grade in like 3 months cuz I’m in summer break rn. But yeah I hope to one day serve for our country and fight for our country and make a difference. Love you dhar and anyone seeing this who was in the service, thank you for your service.

My uncle served in the war aswell, he's back here, luckily. Retired, at 29 and a half years, back in 2017.

I cried at the part where the dad tells about his brother. Thanks to all the military people for helping us.
This drove me to tears.. I know this is just a story but it has happened to so many innocent people. It even happened to my father, he lost one of his friends in combat. My mom would send my dad care packages, with food and other small goodies. And he always shared them with all of his friends who didn’t have family to send them stuff, which was one who died. Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸

My uncle Isaí (Jesse) fought in the military in the war against Iraq. It’s a good thing he’s still with us even to this day.

I felt so hurt when I saw this video as memorial day isn’t just a day when u skip school and play video games it’s about paying respects to all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives out on the front line
By far this was the MOST emotional dhar mann story. I thiught it was gonna be the normal bratty kid starts giving to other people, but this, at the ending speech, almost made me cry. I am interested in war, but never truly appreciated the sacrifice those soldiers have done.
I started crying, losing a loved one is such a pain, but when one sacrifices themselves to save others, is one of the biggest lights to respect and honor.
Such pain man. But you have to live on.
