When the daughter’s health declined and the insurance issues arises, he was willing to do what’s necessary for him…so, when the daughter no longer served “his” purpose, he abandoned(discarded) the family. Unfortunately so many people are dealing with narcissism today…they’re being discarded because they no longer serves the narcissist, however, the story ended beautifully.☮️
Exactly! For all we know, their lifestyle was probably pretty good. Even though he had a middle class job that didn't pay a fortune, (like how he described), he likely still made a decent living. I feel like the dad was just money hungry and eager to have a rich lifestyle, and his daughter was the ticket for that.
yeah exactly...he sounded 100% like a narcissist. They are incapable of really loving us. They only see people as objects and their love is base on what they can provide for us. Even at the very end, instead of being happy that his daughter is alive, he was happy that she's back into training and even had the nerve to ask for MONEY. Yes..definately a narcissist.

I am proud of this mom for not giving up on her daughter. That’s what parents should always do. They should never give up on their kids and try to help them get better with their lives. If I fell into a coma, my mom and dad would never give up on me until I recovered.

It’s dark and grim but it’s the truth, yes parents should never give up on their child but if it gets to far, sometimes things get tight and administering that one sad drug is the sad and dark option
Sometimes it's not about not giving up, or simply the length of life. Sometimes it boils down to supporting the quality of life. There's a reason that "persistent vegetative state" has become a well known phrase. Making such a decision for someone you love, be it your child, your parent, your sibling, your spouse, or just a dear friend, is one of the most difficult decisions a person can make. Trying to figure out whether you're basing your decision on what you feel emotionally, vs what is best for your loved one, is practically impossible. I've been placed in this position twice in my lifetime, and wouldn't wish it upon anyone. I don't regret putting the needs, and wants of my family members first. But it doesn't make the actual decision easy to follow through on. I never had to wait 2 years to make the decision. I can't even imagine.

It was his fault she went into a coma. Worst that probably would’ve happen is she would’ve been bed ridden with limiting walking for a few months to a year and eventually recovered with medication and whatnot.
This is such a heart touching story, here is mine... When I was 10 years old, my knees started to give way when I walked. My parents were extremely worried, we went to about 15 doctors in a week, specialists and everything. My dad made me do exercises, physio, he took me out for walks, my mum used to spend her entire day helping me and calling everyone she knew. Things started getting worse, my left leg would start shaking, trembling, vibrating violently, my mum used to tell me "fight it, tell your leg not to shake, fight it". I tried, i tried to fight. But things were really starting to go downhill. Soon, my vision started to go blank, i don't know how to describe it, all I could see was white. It was temporary though, after a few seconds it would go away. We ended up going to hospital, stayed there many days for tests and everything. We went to the emergency department not knowing what was happening to me. My parents sat by my bed, my brother wasn't allowed to come and visit, i went to the neurologist who eventually diagnosed me with a functional neurological disorder (fnd). I was shocked. It is a condition that I will always have, it is part of me, everyday I get signs and symptoms of relapse, but I fight. I live my best life on the things that matter, even today, I get heart shocks, my leg shakes, my knee gives way, my vision goes out. But I don't let that stop me. My heart goes out to anyone struggling with any disorder or illness in their life. "Your illness does not define you. Your courage and strength does"
I love how Dhar Mann encourages us to be kind and feel comfortable to watch something that has no inappropriate things in it so thank you for being a good role model. ♥️
No Parent should never under any Circumstances Leave their kid in a Hospital, They Should Always give Love and Support for their kids. Thanks, Dhar Mann for this wonderful/emotional video to Spread Awareness
Every parent must understand their kids what they're going through. If my kid is getting worse because of training I'll tell them to stop right now. I care about them health and I want them to live a longer life.
This one angered me so much cuz there are parents who are actually like the dad. The child could be fighting for their life and the parents are more concerned with irrelevant things than the health of their own child. My heart goes out to anyone who has had any similar experiences to this video
Being a victim of a Brain Tumor with Cancer at 3 month old, I can relate to this story perfectly. The Doctors have lost hope in my recovery and my dad left the hospital leaving my mom and brother to attend me alone, but with a lot of prayers and hope I got better and I am now living a free, happy life at 29!
@Warriorsorb True! Her dad may have been a selfish jerk but She did give Isabel one good trait....probably her BEST trait! Which is to keep being a fighter and never give up despite the odds. Success is the best revenge!
Dad doesn’t care about his daughter’s health but he cares about her winning for Olympic and money. He’s not a good father and good coach to his daughter. I’m happy that mom is more supportive, fighting, caring and respectful for her daughter. My favorite quote is “you should not give up but fight for your life and your goal .” I can’t wait to see Dhar Mann’s next video.
I was about to talk about this though, I'm not one to blame people. He should have let her rest for some time instead of "Nah, you can't sit down." And then, he just acts like he didn't just see his daughter get diagnosed with [The said disease] and continued to make her train. Was his brain even on?
@@amylee8969 yeah that's what I hated about the dad throughout the whole video. He didn't care about his daughter; he cared more about himself and the money. I'm glad he got none of it in the end.

This hit home. My cousin also had a rare disease. He began to deteriorate when he was out of college. His brain and body collapsed this year. His heart stopped beating for 10 minutes, but he was revived and on life support. Unfortunately, life isn’t fairy tales and rainbows. We pulled the plug on him. I wish that he came back like this, but he didn’t.
Bro, when I immediately saw this dad for like a few seconds, i knew he was only fighting for the money, fame, and nationals like bro GIVE HER TIME instead of her life I love the mom she's very supportive.
"She's not fighting for gold. She's fighting for her life" Her life is gold. She has a chance just like everyone else does in this world. She's a fighter
Her dad may have been a jerk for abandoning her. BUT, he did pass on one good trait to her........the willingness to keep fighting, remain strong, and never give up. It paid off, now she's alive, healthy and well👏🏽👏🏽
Just give her a chance. she deserves a chance like everyone else. Don't give up on her. She will come back. She just needs time and you need to be patient with her. That is what this dad did NOT do. He turned his back on his own daughter. He gave up on her. The mom on the other hand did NOT give up on her daughter. She was there by her daughter's hospital bedside everyday speaking to her, telling her about how she can still achieve a lot in gymnastics, holding her hand, loving her, encouraging her to come back to her etc... this is exactly what comatose patients need and they CAN come back and with intense physical, speech, and occupational therapies, they can work hard relearn everything and achieve what they want to achieve. The dad didn't realize this in his daughter that she had a fighting instinct and could get through this. He basically gave up on her.
Her dad came back acting like a druggie trying to get money for drugs .I'm proud of the daughter. The mother was amazing. She did not give up on her daughter. ❤️
I've met people who have been in a coma before. They are still aware of what is going on around them and can even see the clothes the doctors are wearing. One guy I met who went through a coma was interviewed when he came out of it as they were amazed by his experience. He could see the clothes that the doctors wore and hear them he even saw lights that were not from here. He gained belief in God due to his experience. A lady I met at church (I was a college senator and student at the time) once described the time she was in a coma she saw a relative that had died of illness before she ended up in her coma. She had traveled through a tunnel before seeing her relative. Her relative told her it wasn't her time and she then woke from her coma. My dad also went through a tunnel and faced judgment then was told it wasn't his time. He didn't see God but he could feel something (God) their with him. My dad also floated above his body when doctors were operating on him, he wondered what was going on before he got sucked back into his body. Talking to people in a coma really does help them and they can still hear you and see you even when they are not able to use their body. YEWE (Yahweh) the sound your lungs make when you breath interestingly enough. YEWE is God and God is to real people. Once I prayed my heaviness in my heart would dissolve and I literally felt it dissolve away like dust being blown off a table. This is among the most accurate videos Dhar Mann has ever produced. Well done and stay blessed everyone
This reminds me when my brother got a cancer but he's fighting for our family,I'm glad his condition gets better and better everyday... I hope his condition goes back to normal but I'm proud of him. He's a true fighter...
It’s so amazing how she still tried to preserve even after getting hurt and going into a coma. A lot of Things happened and she still stayed strong. She deserves her fame :)
@@DharMann I can’t believe a father would be SO selfish & put his own child’s life on the line & abandon his daughter in a coma INSTEAD of owning up to the fact that he’s the cause of her going into a coma!
I can truly appreciate this lesson. My sons dad took a terrible fall and went into a coma. Unfortunately, no one sided with me to keep fighting and we lost him. Seeing tears coming out his eyes and later that day life changed…. I pray for those dealing with this to never give up. Thank u all for allowing me to feel these memories🙏🏼 Edit: My life is my story told my way. He and I were separated at the time. I NEVER said baby daddy or husband and feel offended but that’s ok. Because I didn’t give every detail probably left room for assumptions…The point in making a comment is because what this family endured I also shared in however life went different. If at all possible please be respectful as I am to everyone. I thank u in advance.
yup.a father's love is just like a mother's. although not all fathers are like this. mothers, our birthgivers, our life savers, it's all a promise. i'm sure, they'll never leave us ❤
My heart feels for the mother. I don't think I could ever give up if one of my children who are all adults now, if it happened to them either. I would always be there for my son and two daughters.
You givin thus tax evading their too much credit. The original quote is if you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my my best. This quote has been around LONG before any of us were born.
@Amanda Ramos Yeah, and just think…….if he has only been a father to Isabella and supported her during her worst moment, she would have paid him back after she overcame and became an Olympian the way she did with her mom.
@Amanda Ramos Good message! In life, everyone wants to be around when you’re successful and striving. As soon as you go down, those same people begin dropping like flies. That’s how to tell who truly cares for you and who doesn’t.
