One common regret: the state betrayed their citizenship during COVID, enforcing lockdowns. I had to have a letter telling police if they stopped me that my job at the Lab was necessary. Then that same Lab you mentioned fired 10% of their workforce for refusing an experimental drug which killed about six employees in one year according to their own leaked records. This same Lab dominates local politics, pushing DEI hiring, and intimidates lawyers who would otherwise represent their employees. The Lab workers themselves do great, necessary work, but the contractor, who holds a near monopoly on US labs nationwide, needs to go. Also, police in the state consider Idaho Falls the worst place to work, as it is also the most dangerous in the state for police officers.

@@goolash1000 not sure where you are getting that report about Idaho falls being the most dangerous. @@2mtal718 totally get it! Guess you’ll have to ask yourself what “good” means to you. Most people really like the schools out here. We think public school no matter where you are doesn’t teach great critical thinking skills. It’s more like memorizing facts. That sounds harsh but for us we put our kids in a private school that is like a home school. They spend most of the day outside learning real skills like gardening, science experiments, over course reading and writing etc. but also art, theatre, then working as a team and problem solving. No grades. Just based off their individual skill level… this type of fun, free and student lead learning was more important than memorizing facts in a desk all day. Haha so I’m not the best person to ask! I do know that when schools are bad, you hear about it. I haven’t heard much bad , if any, in this area.
