My favorite part of that video is Jason himself exclaims at how well he did, that he could tell his old guitar was happy. Then Jason R. comments "Yeah! It helped me with my sweep picking in high school." Serrana was just practice for him...in high school... what a beast.
Becker used Malmsteen as practice in high school, and in turn Richardson used Becker as practice in high school. Proof that the older generations aren’t there to claim “superiority” over all new stuff, but rather to inspire and teach so that newer generations can surpass them, innovate, and pave the way for an even more talented generation after.
@@WithBeautyAndWithLove Newer generations should do better, they have more examples and learning tools. That said, older generations had less distractions and could focus just on their craft. This is especially apparent when you look at virtuoso classical piano composers, who have composed vast repertoires and were known to have been amazing improvisers. What's more is that they are from about the same romantic time period in 1800s. Namely there isn't anyone like Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, Alkan in the past 150 years. There were virtuosos like Cziffra, Horowitz, Rubinstein in 1900s who had vast repertoires and who also improvised but their composition output was very limited in comparison to the earlier masters. Cziffra does have a lot of arrangements/variations, which are the hardest pieces of piano music ever written (if you normalize to their length, say on per minute basis). Example: Cziffra edition of Flight of the Bumblebee (and there are two: Katsaris is the only one who played the longer 4 minute version)
He understands it, he's just being modest. He doesn't see what we see. He doesn't see that his guitar skills are much closer to his expectations than he realizes.
I'd say that the 'expectations' for me is better even tho 'reality' is cleaner. There is just this thing about how Jason Becker does it that makes it totally amazing sounding
So the reality is that you're still insanely talented, no matter what? Dude, that was sick. Maybe it's not 100% perfect yet, but it's pretty damn close. Keep doing what you're doing, brother. Rock on 🤘
Would love to hear another take with a damper placed to catch the ringers. Would love to hear a compressor really squash the sound and smooth everything out. Lovely guitar playing
As another commenter stated. I don't think you understood the assignment for the meme 🤣 That said, the fact that you even came close to Jason Becker level reality is awesome.
Dude… Superb. Absolutely next level playing. Side note: you could totally dress up as Zippy the Pinhead for Halloween and pull that off better than anyone who doesn’t actually have microcephaly. You’re winning coming and going!
Nah, reality is better to me. Might be a little quicker, as if that matters, but Jason is missing all the defining accents. I don't know what he's spazzing out about on some of those pauses but it's noisy.
Damn dude you really made Jason Richardson look like a straight up mediocre player compared to you! Straight killer shredding skills bro you're the best of the best for sure 💯👍

Yeah plus the showing off is 🤢 I'll say it.
@@alcatraz8767ur just mad cuz u can’t show off
@@alcatraz8767what showing off?
@@alcatraz8767 don't say it. nobody wants to hear it and it makes you look like a peanut butter and jealous sandwich.

Yeah you absolutely shred
Awesome! With reasonably human-sized fingers as well.
Insane playing man!
This is basically a humble brag

Holy shit 😮
Clearly what's stopping me from playing this is the guitar and also talent.

But play the whole Jason Richardson clip. Looks like it was audio from a cell phone as well. Jason is from the planet Krypton.
Jason richarson ❤
Just roll back the presence and treble. Boost the mids and it will prob sound more like the expectations.
Reality tone sounds better than the camo dude 😂 well done 👍
Thanks :)

They are both probably a testament of a lot of hours hard work, but they unfortunately are also both not particularly pleasant to listen too.

So you ripped off the original guy to make a “meme” cant say I blame you at this point, pure skill means nothing clickbait is the only way to succeed.
Who and what did he rip off?
