It was a pleasure to spend the day with you as always and such an experience to release Atlantic blue lobsters full of eggs, never seen them that close up before. I'm sure we'll cannot keep away for long and will have to create another one soon. All the Best, Jack & Lily👍
I just loved it at the end, when the rough old man stands there in the wind in his t-shirt and the youngsters are wearing their fur coats.... The educational value, the releasing of those carrying lobsters and the cooking of the mussels at the end, just a brilliant video! A big thanks from the Netherlands.
Stunning coastline. Always nice to see something being put back in nature. Some years back I had a clawless female with eggs hatched them in the tank then released them all back into the bay where I fish. Its surprising how fast the claws grow back.
Great comment Trojs, it's great to have an independent perspective from someone so experienced, comments like this are very useful for education , kind regards Craig
After meeting Craig and experiencing the coastal foraging in person I love watching these videos even more! Thanks for doing it Craig and sharing your wisdom.
Craig, your shows are so informative and enticing. You make me want to go to the nearest seashore and forage for food. Then cook them up right there on the beach and rocks for a glorious dinner.
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 yes...I am in the south island of nz now and it's so big here as not many people eat it...it is a Maori delicacy...I'm happy to learn that others eat it...we dry it to crispy first then fry in butter and add water and wa la it's ready to eat with a nice loaf of bread 😎

Your videos are so interesting ,I’m really enjoying them. Please continue filming such informative videos. This is so much more interesting and entertaining as school
Coastal Foraging With Craig Evans , I was just looking on your website for my dad he loves watching your videos, and I thought he would love to go out with you one day but unfortunately he’s disabled with a walking stick so probably wouldn’t be a good idea. O well maybe he could just watch. Again thanks for your videos they remind me why we moved right next the beach ourselves, sometimes take if for granted until you see all the wildlife. Thanks
Hi Fangirl98, many beaches including Saundersfoot now provide specially adapted beach wheelchairs, these are ideal for people with limited mobility to enjoy our shores ,regards Craig
Just discovered this channel and I can’t get enough. When I go camping we forage for mussels to eat, maybe next time I’ll be able to eat other stuff. Our camping spot is on the west coast of Vancouver Island at Mussel Beach Wilderness Campground. Anyway I’m loving your channel. Feel like I made a new friend! 🇨🇦
Awesome!! Very informative video.. I especially liked seeing the different sea weed and coastal plants you cook with... pls make a video foraging fish for some sashimi next.. thank you for such a great experience ..
It's been a while, glad to see your still uploading, spring is just around the corner for me, with that comes nettles, asparagus, dandelions and fiddleheads.
Great stuff Craig. Many thanks. Would like to see you on the road, visiting other coastal areas. I would suggest the Menai Straits and Anglesey which have a lot of potential. I used to live on the Straits many moons ago. Watching your videos makes me homesick! Currently living in Ontario. No salt water air to breathe.

Question just came back from a few days at the beach hand caught a few dog fish from rock pools but didnt deploy the gill net would have been a waste catching 30 dogfish when alone. spotted what looks like worm casts but they were 1" thick !!! was it clams maybe ? dug down 9 inches by hand but found nothing and still recovering from a chainsaw injury so didnt want to risk cutting it again on a shell to be honest .
Hi Craig, I love what your doing. Keep it up, I am wanting to go Caostal Foraging at Easter in Pembroke shire. May I know where the best places to go are, especially for muscles , razor clams and crabs. And possibly scallops or oysters? Thanks
