  • Like most laptop power supplies it is well built inside. Shame the power input connector had to get damaged. These are the adapters that most T, W, and P series laptops use. Models like the T460, T470, W540, W541, P50, P51, and P52.
If you need these adapters in bulk I have them for sale here:

Want to support what I do? Best way is to check out my eBay listings and see if I have something you need. 😀

It is interesting how different the Lenovo laptop charger looks with😮 white "playdoh" like blobs inside!
Your care, precision, and knowledge are exemplary. Thank you.

Yeah a lot of that white stuff is to keep components in place when it gets dropped.

ZLH is the model of the cap. If you look closely, they are indeed Rubycon. ;)

The genuine ones really are quite dense. That is why they feel so heavy. Luckily they can handle some drops. That white stuff helps absorb impacts.

My Lenovo charger 8.5A 170w is not charging battery while the PC is on, but it's charging while the PC is off . What to do, help master

Never seen that before to be honest. Maybe check power settings in windows. You could install Lenovo Vantage from the Microsoft store to see if it detects an issue. Otherwise it could be a BIOS setting?

@@computersales @metaldarkdarkus3645 I have a lenovo legion Y540 charger of 170W (Square connector). There is some design issue in the charging port. When gaming, the charging port heats a lot and due to which the inner copper the left and right side of the port gets oxidized to coat a layer of copper oxide (black color) which stops the charging. I tried changing the motherboard and charger but it's not working. Do you know how I resolve this? Temporarily I use vinegar and salt solution to clean the copper inside the port and then clean it with baking powder solution.
I cant find a permanent solution to this. Is this due to some gap between charging port and charging socket?

@@maxpayne6625 maybe some dielectric grease otherwise try replacing power jack and adapter. Otherwise never seen oxidation issues like that before.
