Thanks for this. I just quit my toxic job this morning. I've no back up but have been trusting God for months on end to help me find the right job for me. This was very on time as the subject was plaguing my mind for a while and finally quitting was a big shift.
I did the same thing 15 years ago. It was the best decision I ever made. I have a great job now. Making 3x the money only working 4 days a week. The owner of my company is a faithful man who actually cares about all of us. My last job they were godless greedy men. Screaming at me everyday. Calling me stupid. Never once thanking me the whole 9 years I worked for them. Everyone over there was alcoholics cause we hated our life there. We worked 6 days a week from 4:55 am till sometimes 8pm. By the time you got off work you couldn't do anything cause you were so tired and aching from work. I grabbed my Bible one night and I asked God "what do I need to do?" I opened to a random page and the first word I read was Depart. That was all I needed to finally rid myself of that evil job. My mom said that it was stupid of me to quit without a backup job. But I got 2 or three other jobs through the years. I met some amazing people in that time who helped me grow in my faith. Then I finally got the job I have now. Mark, I truly love your channel and the way you authentically operate your ministry. You truly teach people how to apply God’s word practically. I’ve always been a list checker or a procedure manual kind of person…. Since 2019 (when I rededicated my life to Christ) God has been slowly chipping away at those aspects of myself so that I could learn how to have big faith. Your ministry has truly grounded me in such a way that I can’t describe. God used you to help me keep some form of peace while He was working on my faith. I have been struggling with purpose for such a long time and you have made what God has been saying to me SO clear. That understanding my calling and purpose would take time because God was still turning me into a new creature…. I had to walk out that process. I had to allow God to change my heart, which changed a couple of my ‘whys’ and then my ‘whats’. Thank you so much for all that you do, all the work that we don’t see. All the warfare that you went through just so that you could apply your experience with knowledge to teach us how to do the same. Thank you again. God bless you and your family! That's some of the best teaching on purpose I've ever heard. Honestly to glorify God no matter what gift or calling changes occur. Never saw it that way before, thanks I always felt like I was letting God down when things changed. Just assumed I made a mistake and was now being released of that duty. This is revelation for me, God uses trial and error to let me continue on a path that will bring him more glory.! 🙏🏼 Amen 🙏🏼
I have hit another level of desire for HIM. David said “as the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after thee.” The deer is thirsty, but more than that it pants bc it can not breathe. So, water, or living water is the only thing that will quench my thirst. If I don’t get living water (John 4) I will not only thirst, but I will die… Breathless…

What does God think about "worldly" dreams? Are they necessarily "idols?" What can you do if you're sad because your Earthly dreams never came true, and you feel like your life is behind you? I know that Jesus is more than enough, but lately I've been so sad because I don't have any dreams anymore, and my spirit is so broken that I can't talk to God.
I have been at the same job for 15 years, I have NO desire to go to, yet I still go. I feel empty, I am a born again Christian and I was told by everybody the only thing I would do as an adult was a low end factory job because I didn’t have talent or skills for some better job. I am so miserable. I have seen God work through me to speak to them, share love with His people and Holy Spirit gives me messages to help His people. I’m at a loss. I’m sitting at a job with no peace or joy for years now, wanting just to run from it never look back, I don’t want to be irresponsible and quit and end up homeless because maybe God wanted me to stay. I can’t take not being able to help people . Any wise counsel and prayer is appreciated. Thank you
People put their own limitations onto you. You can do anything you set your mind to with hard work and consistency day in and day out. I hope you find a better job that you look forward to. 🙏🏼

Hi Mark! I was told years ago that I have healing gift from the holy spirit. This is something I prayed for a long time ago and that I even didn't remember...can my purpose in life be linked to having this gift? How can I use it?
I believe every single person's first purpose is to have a personal relationship with God. After that, we can look at possibilities of other things. After all, if a person has a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, it is going to show up in some aspect of that persons' life! If we let that happen, we can more easily see where our strengths are in relating God to others if that is what God wants.
What if you don't feel the desire of doing anything in especific because everything you've tried has failed?. Can a person not have any purpose in life?
This may be a silly question, but how do I know we are bringing God glory through a job? For instance, I am a school teacher, how do I know I am pleasing God through building a career as a teacher?! My former nosy neighbors heard my premonitions/dreams that were coming true. One said it almost to my face, "No one asked you." I had wondered why she was reacting negativity from it.
I don't think I really have any gift. I've been ignored and overlook for so long I think I've just turn invisible. Maybe, I was always invisible. I don't know. Some people said I was good at music, but my parents forced me to study Tourism...I'm not good at it, I don't like it,...it just brings me money. I haven't been able to keep a job so far. Sometimes I just wish I was unalived. I have nothing to do. Not a single purpose. I went no contact with my family because they were planning my whole life based on THEIR likes and dislikes. I was forced to do all types of activities...(I didn't care for any of them), they made me hate every minute of my life. Now I just work, scroll through social media, and smoke cigarettes. I know one day I will finally be outside of Earth,...sometimes I think a lung cancer will do. I have no purpose, I have no calling, I only have a job that I passionately dislike, and lots of free time playing videogames and scrolling through social media. One day I will be unalived but until then, I have to put up with this.
@MinistryJJTEAM I’m a female FIre fighter and Going through the academy was overall great. God got me spiritually and mentally through. He showed me where my heart is and wanting to share it with my community to bring unity in people worse moments. Our value is found in him when you feel lost and tired. Keep the faith! God bless
If we're supposed to control our sexual desires, then how can anyone be called to marriage without sinning. For if they cannot control themselves they should marry. Kinda seems like if you can't control it your sinning.
Yes, struggling to control your sexual desire is one sign you should pursue marriage. There are levels of course. If you are full blown porn addict you are not ready for marriage. But if you have no sexual desire you probably should not get married either. Paul's saying if you have a strong sexual desire that is not stopping (burn with passion, 1 Corinthians 7:9), then you should pursue marriage
I thought it was just to find a job and pay bills. I don’t feel a specific need at all. I just want a second job. Don’t care at all what kind of work I do. I don’t have any passion for anything at all other than to pay bills. It could be flipping burgers or cleaning toilets. I think he like torturing some of his kids. Thought Gods purpose for all of us was to work pay taxes and love each other by being kind. What else do people do ? We have bills to pay. We can’t wander the streets with a bible, we don’t have that kind of time
