Preach! This is really important and you spoke about it in an excellent way with clarifying examples. Thanks, Mark! I've been really big on mornings, God have showed me how amazing it is to get into His presence before anything else in the morning. It will shape how you act and react to whatever happens throughout the day and how you choose to go about your time and thoughts, because you will be wearing your Godly lens. My day doesn't go right if I don't start it with God's word & prayer but leave Him only the leftovers of my time, energy and thought capacity after the world has already filled my brain and drained my energy.

Hi Mark! This literally did come right on time. I've been struggling with handling my anxiety and anger triggered by loud unexpected noises, such as my really loud neighbors. I've been praying to God asking him to help change my heart towards my neighbors and the loud noise (stomping, dropping heavy items, vibrating my walks, being really loud). It took me a while to build up the courage to confront them and ask them to kindly make less noise, they smirked at me, closed the door in my face. Well, I wanted to get so mad but I realized at that point they're not going to change, I'm not going to move, my landlords didn't care. Praying for peace and harmony wasn't the issue, I realized I needed to ask God to change my perspective, how I internalized and thought about this noise and to redirect my emotions. So I totally agree, it took me some time to get to having a "Plan" to get with God's Plan for my life with the help of the holy spirit, but I believe its really continuing to spend more time in my Bible, praying with a pure heart and allowing and trusting God to move in me.

thank you Mark, I think this may be linked to " living intentionally", which I need to do, preplan the next days or moments activities so I will be more apt to respond in a way that 1 pleases God, 2 helps me begin meeting some goals. I do read the Bible in the am most days, but need more self disipline in other areas.

I needed this so much. I was just telling my mom today that I was having a very hard time praying or focusing on God or reclaiming my spiritual mind after having put my relationship with God last as a result of being distracted by other things...this is my answer! I was already thinking the worst and worried that I probably couldn't get back up again spiritually and wondering if I truly love God just cause I lost the discipline to seek and commune with Him

Excellent brother. And, your timing is always impeccable. 😇
I can sincerely comprehend what you said. Times that I missed my morning reading and meditating on His word (when I was running late for example), I can most certainly see a difference in how my days go compared to the days I spend time with God before starting my day. I notice my attitude, behavior and reactions to things are different. It’s very true. God’s word is the healthiest meal we can eat and it impacts not only ourselves, but everyone around us. We are taught to be renewed in our minds by His word. Great message Mark. Thank you, and God bless.

Wow, just wow. This is such a blessing to hear. I’m kind of blown away to be quite honest. I came to the library today to study for an anatomy test. And we are studying parts of the nervous system, and when reading about the RAS, it was mentioned how positive thoughts really can affect the choices we make. And so I’m thinking to myself, this has to be deeper than just positive thoughts. (I’m blown away already just learning about how complex our body is in general- and how it’s a miracle in itself how we are formed) but I was thinking there’s a reason the Lord has given us our RAS. And I just want to thank you for breaking this down and the way you applied it in relation to the Lord. This is very encouraging for me and know it will be for others as well. Thank you

Thanks for doing a more psychology based video, Mark. Great topic.
Paul may have been talking about the reticular activating system in Romans 12:2
"Be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes]".
Rather than letting things become too big or small by focusing on/ignoring their reality we should instead allow for our recognition of things to bring us increased detail and clarity so the truth that we see can set us free. Rumination is an easy trap to fall into so be filled with the Holy Spirit to avoid wandering in the flesh.

I can't remember where I read it but the Bible says that as a man thinks, so is he. (I was paraphrasing) I have noticed that when we experience something, we see it repeating in our lives. In my psychology courses in college, we learned about self-fulfilling prophecies. People are influenced by what we and others think of us. If you have people who criticize you and if they are important in your eyes you will think negatively about yourself. I think it is important for us to lift each other up in prayer and expectations. Words of encouragement are, as Solomon put it, "Like apples of gold in pictures of silver."

I watched your "What does it mean when you dream about someone you like" video and commented, But just in case you don't see it...
How do you interpret this dream?
A while back I had a dream that me and and my boyfriend were in I think a church, and it felt like we were getting married. Our hands were overlapping on the Bible. I looked over and saw his mom smiling and there were many other people there.
It felt like we were vowing and making a commitment to put God first in our relationship. 💭

    • @ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger
      @ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Perhaps rewatch that video :) I think dreams like this are usually just your brain working while you sleep. You are dreaming about things that relate to your thoughts when you are awake. So I would not assume this is a message from God. So there's nothing to interpret other than that you have romantic feelings for this person and your brain created images while you slept that relate to your romantic feelings. Just my thoughts

As long as you are using a good translation, it doesn't matter if it's on screen or a page. The words themselves are where the power is :) Personally I do recommend a physical Bible though if you can get one. It's less distracting and a good reminder to have a real book there. I like the ESV. Just my thoughts :)

How come Christans does not follow most of the commands of God in the Bible forget about the Christians saying blasphemous words like God's son, God's son killed in the crusifx etc. The Bible says not to eat pork, not to drink alcohol, to protect virginity till marriage, (also the punishments of not being a virgin at their first marriage according to the Bible), the proper covering of the body and shape of women like the Muslims do, the Christians don't follow almost everything in the Bible and the only thing they follow are the lies in it. Sadly they even say that the bible is not progressive so they pick and choose whatever they want to, from the Commands of God, based on their own human desires they defy God's Wills in the Bible, forget about the last scripture of God.
This is why God sent the last religion with its laws from God that no man can change like the Christians and Jews do and play with the Will of God. Read Well and study well and you will find yourself becoming a Muslim. For noone follows the Laws of God as mentioned in the Bibles better than the Muslims and noone prays to God purer than the Muslims, whether use the Bible or the Quran, Islam and Muslim is the Closest to the Commands of God, the God of Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad peace and Blessings upon them all and upon The Final Messenger of God and to his lineage and to the Guided One from his line to bring the truth in the world once again

Also, the channel is called "Apply God's Word" not expositionally preaching God's word. We can apply biblical truth to any topic. I don't just talk about things mentioned in the Bible. Dating is not in the Bible, for example. I take biblical principles and "apply" them to other topics.
