Hi Paul and Tan, it was a bit strange that the water was a bit dirty in Beachport. It's usually lovely and blue.Did you get to go to the lake of solom in Beachport.?It's a salt lake..l love your content guys. Cheers deb. Happy new year 🎉😊
Hi Deb, happy new year to you too! Even the locals weren’t happy about the water, but we still absolutely loved the little town of Beachport. We’re not sure we saw the Pool of Siloam 🤷♀️ we can’t remember. We were only there for a few hours. A very beautiful place though! Thanks as always, for watching. 😊
It was such a gorgeous little town, we enjoyed it there. So much to see in this fantastic country. Sadly we’ve been to so many places in our travels that seem to have closed down, and they never reopen. It seems to just be easier to keep things shut down with very little effort to communicate it to the travellers through internet, tourist centres etc before they go to see these places. We understand that safety is important but there are a lot of places that are now affected, and never reopen. 😢
Thanks for watching our video! The issue with the Obelisk was compounded for us more because of the fact that so many attractions have been closed down around Australia without ever opening again or no information about closures until you actually reach the attraction. There was plenty of signage up around Robe promoting the Obelisk as a major attraction, not mentioning the closure, however it now appears that it has been closed for some years. Appreciate your feedback 😊
We’ve seen so many fantastic attractions that seemed to have closed down on our travels. Let us know if you’ve experienced the same thing.

They closed it for safety, how can the council fix a cliff that is unstable 🤔
I was there early December and walked to the end of the jetty, and the water was clear

@EscapingCrowds Yes it is a gorgeous little town, and the drive along the beach from Beachport to Robe through the dunes is great as well
@@gavinjewell5886 would love to do that next time 😊
If you read the Updates from Customers on Google Maps, it will inform you the Obelisk has been inaccessible for more than 9 months now.
