I thought it was becuase I wasn't aggresive enough, but I know that other people simply abuse their power and depending on the power dynamics, can block others from fully owning theirs. I would suggest to for those with detriment or at fall mars to keep pushing forward no matter who blocks you. It might take a few tries to learn how to best communicate yourself, but you will get it eventually.
When I was a kid I used to stand up for myself. As I got older I became more of a people pleaser and developed rejection sensitivity. I tend not to initiate, but I’ve been working on this. I was also not that competitive haha. My mars is in retrograde in Aries. I’m a Libra sun and mercury! So I’m learning to work more with this energy and balance these polarities! Working on mindfulness and meditation has been helping a lot!

How do I stand up for myself? I never really did ‘stand up for myself’… Ever in this lifetime! It was not until I became the ‘holder of the information’ (under threat) for a teacher who literally ‘took this life’…in no uncertain terms…that I finally ‘up-righted my emperor’…as they say. Now…I sometimes find that I actually feel BAD (if you can imagine) for what I am saying in standing up for myself. (face palm) Considering what has occurred in this life I have no doubt that most people would look at me squarely in the face and say “I cannot believe you are actually being so nice about it!” Thank you Molly…xo -Leslie

My Mars n Venus in the 3rd approves.🤣 I have Mars in the first degree of my 3rd Haus ♍ at 0°14', it's conjunct Pluto, Vesta & Venus and trine Saturn in ♑ and sextile ♋ Asc and Neptune in ♏. I've worked in manual trades/crafts work and taught the same by equal measure. A multi-talented tradesman, it's not a gloat, but a fact. I'm extremely fussy about doing it right and don't understand poor service. I've worked on Mercedes-Benz renewing interiors and was highly regarded for my work. I used this energy when l taught high school kids. They knew that they were to learn and not be stupid with materials. My ♋ energy was there to show l cared for them but they had to make muster (♑ & ♍) with good behaviour

Mars in Leo 5th house. Always very passionate about my beliefs and wants. I realized that I scared people with my nature. No patience with soft people. yes. same. what is wrong with us exactly?? lol. i feel like i make things so much harder for myself but i'm like happy about it. like i did the right thing on some deeper level. is it like we are coordinating our action based on the unconscious? maybe the unconscious drives us more than the conscious in a way? sun and moon in libra for me made it very intense needing balance but also being so extreme. i am definitely intrigued by psychology and spirituality and almost like energetically or emotionally psychic in a way? like i am doing some sort of secret emotional puzzle all the time.
I am also Scorpio rising but don’t have Mars in the first house or conjunct Pluto. I do have Venus conjunct Saturn (but my Mars is also conjunct so it’s not quite the same as the opposition). Mars and Pluto are the traditional and modern rulers of Scorpio so to have them both in the first house sounds quite intense. It’s a case of how to handle all this powerful energy. I think your young man needs guidance. You haven’t mentioned his father. Is there a power struggle between your son and his father? But, whatever, someone outside the family situation might be able to provide a more objective point of view. I’m sure you’ve tried your best but I would strongly recommend getting professional guidance from a counsellor, ideally male. Deep depression is serious and men are particularly at risk because they don’t open up and talk, as we women are more likely to do. You obviously care deeply but your son has difficult waters to navigate. See if you can get him to talk to someone who is qualified to help.
I have Mars in Libra in the first house. And I've come to realize that my response tends to be measured and balanced. So sometimes I react quickly. I act quick. And at the next situation, I don't react at all, or I have a delayed reaction to things. But something is interesting in my chart. The asteroid Pallas Athena, who archetypically is the goddess of strategic warfare is EXACTLY conjunct my Natal Mars. That nuance is important and better describes how Mars operates in my life. I read somewhere that Pallas is has dignity in Libra). To that end, I think I am a sharp strategist. No wonder I resonate with the Sun Tzu's book: The Art of War. Lol! In terms of "wins" in my life, usually I win more times than not. This is because I strategize how to get what I want (I measure and balance external forces, the might of my opposition and counterbalance it with my strategic arsenal 😁)... Moments when I "lose", I simply resort to strategic retreat (never surrender). My sexuality, however, is not the craziest, or the wildest. 🤷🏾♂️ In my pursuits, I don't chase. I coax, I don't coerce. I know Mars is in its detriment in Libra but the fact that it's in the first house and I have a few nice placements (e.g. my Mercury in Virgo placement is a master of communication, so when Mars in Libra really has to negotiate, it knows just the right words to use 🤣🤌🏾) plus I've studied how my Natal Mars operates, it somehow just works for me.

Mars in Aries in the first. I notice I have to move. If I’m doing something without wanting to or feeling frustrated about it, I tend to have little accidents. I like to do things quickly. yes. same. what is wrong with us exactly?? lol. i feel like i make things so much harder for myself but i'm like happy about it. like i did the right thing on some deeper level. is it like we are coordinating our action based on the unconscious? maybe the unconscious drives us more than the conscious in a way? sun and moon in libra for me made it very intense needing balance but also being so extreme. i am definitely intrigued by psychology and spirituality and almost like energetically or emotionally psychic in a way? like i am doing some sort of secret emotional puzzle all the time.

I am also Scorpio rising but don’t have Mars in the first house or conjunct Pluto. I do have Venus conjunct Saturn (but my Mars is also conjunct so it’s not quite the same as the opposition).
Mars and Pluto are the traditional and modern rulers of Scorpio so to have them both in the first house sounds quite intense. It’s a case of how to handle all this powerful energy.
I think your young man needs guidance. You haven’t mentioned his father. Is there a power struggle between your son and his father? But, whatever, someone outside the family situation might be able to provide a more objective point of view. I’m sure you’ve tried your best but I would strongly recommend getting professional guidance from a counsellor, ideally male.

I have Mars in Libra in the first house. And I've come to realize that my response tends to be measured and balanced. So sometimes I react quickly. I act quick. And at the next situation, I don't react at all, or I have a delayed reaction to things.
But something is interesting in my chart. The asteroid Pallas Athena, who archetypically is the goddess of strategic warfare is EXACTLY conjunct my Natal Mars. That nuance is important and better describes how Mars operates in my life. I read somewhere that Pallas is has dignity in Libra). To that end, I think I am a sharp strategist. No wonder I resonate with the Sun Tzu's book: The Art of War. Lol!
In terms of "wins" in my life, usually I win more times than not. This is because I strategize how to get what I want (I measure and balance external forces, the might of my opposition and counterbalance it with my strategic arsenal 😁)... Moments when I "lose", I simply resort to strategic retreat (never surrender).
My sexuality, however, is not the craziest, or the wildest. 🤷🏾♂️ In my pursuits, I don't chase. I coax, I don't coerce.
I know Mars is in its detriment in Libra but the fact that it's in the first house and I have a few nice placements (e.g. my Mercury in Virgo placement is a master of communication, so when Mars in Libra really has to negotiate, it knows just the right words to use 🤣🤌🏾) plus I've studied how my Natal Mars operates, it somehow just works for me.
