Of these i have seen gattaca. Time bandits and Dark city. All awesome movies. I really like sci fi/ fantasy movies. If they are well made and not too mainstrem. Another great movie worth mentioning is blade runner. But thats very well known.
I actually saw "The Secret of NIMH," "Time Bandits," and "Southern Comfort" in the theater when they were released. A friend from work let me borrow her copy of "Ravenous," and I'm glad she did! I have "Gattaca," "Dark City," "Children of Men," and "Brick" on DVD. Haven't seen the other two yet.
Another list of well-known films that nobody has forgotten or underrates. I’d suggest looking for films that haven’t been released on blu ray yet, or maybe not even dvd. There are loads. I’m not sure who you’re aiming these selections at. Most film fans will know the films, so it can’t be them. People who’ve been in a coma for 40 years, perhaps? By the way, the use of trailers is lazy. They too often don’t give a clear idea of what the film is about or give away way too much.
thanks for the input, these lists aren't necessarily for seasoned viewers, they are mostly for new film fans or serve as a reminder for people who have let some of these gems pass and haven't watched them yet. I use the trailers to avoid spoilers, I have to be vague in the descriptions to avoid spoilers so the trailers serve as a way to give an idea about what they are going to see without giving more away than what the studio decided to put in the trailer. I reminded myself that I had to watch some of these as I was making the video. A lot of people have steered away from Blu rays, most of the younger generation is streaming everything. My daughters haven't seen most of these, but they love movies and would only watch new stuff without good recommendations.
so... "forgotten" movies that aren't forgotten... great topic!
it's a good hook😂😂
trully great picks
thanks!
southern comfort is a great movie
Mos Def!

Love Richard Jordan. Didn’t know he was in Eddie Coyle. Will have to check it out. Lady Killers, both versions are good.
The Lady Killers, Dark Star, One flew over the Cookoos nest.
omg Jack Nicholson in OFOTCN is amazing!
These (and part 1) are great picks! I also highly recommend The Swimmer (1968), a real gem I can’t believe I somehow missed until recently.
thank you! I really appreciate that. I'll check out The Swimmer asap
I have half of these on DVD.
I own A Simple Plan on 4K,Brick looks good.

Not sure how old you are, or how many movie buddies you have but a lot of people have never seen these or forgot all about them
The friends of Eddie Coyle is one of the greatest films of the last great decade of cinema. That being said, another garbage list.
seems like your opinion is garbage honestly, have you seen Paprika? I guess Christopher Nolan was inspired by garbage to make Inception 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gattaca, Ravenous and Southern Comfort are certainly true classics. Highly recommended 🫶🫶🫶
