@@davidfigg the two that I listed vanilla cigar and bay rum. Vs smells like a creamy vanilla with cinnamon while Br smells like coconut/pineapple with va slightl alcohol scent. Caramel mocha is great too I usually mix the mocha oil with vanilla butter and I swear people stare at my beard like they want to eat it

Im at 4 months 2 days ago and yes definitely you can start trimming the wild hairs now. It changes so much and love it. Shapes it up nice. Keep growing

These are all my favorites as well. Beard Octane is actually my #1. I Love Love Love Dowshift. They have several good ones but Downshift is so relaxing I put it on mostly after shower when I lay down. I use the downshift LCW and beard bar in the shower followed by the oil then butter after shower and if i wear it during the day i use the downshift balm. Havent tried alot of scents from DGC but I love corktown. Sturgis is a super good scent as well but they dont carry it in butter. I like there oil as well. I have all those though and they are all pretty amazing.

Ive been using tons of the freshbeards stuff lately and love it. Mostly their balm and butter bc artius makes the best oil imo but love the content SCUBA
I currently have like five of FreshBeards butters and use just about all of them but mostly 1920, Major League, and VooDoo. I also have 1920 in the oil and Shipwrecked in the oil as well. I also have a handful of Artius Man's oil samples that I use here and there. They do make the best oil out there for sure, really thick. I'm branching out and put in a small order through Beard Octane for their oil samples. Gonna try those first before making the commitment for the full size oils and buttas. Their beard and body bars have me intrigued also.
I was already looking to change up my product; had been using Monster Beard products for a couple years and felt, as much as I liked the scent I'd chosen (Vampire Hunter), they didn't offer a beard butter and I was looking to give that a try as plain oil wasn't cutting it for me and I found balm too stiffening for my liking. Upon checking out this list, I was originally going for Royal Beardsmen Dragon Spice, but it being sold out, I checked out Husky Beard and I truly taken with the Royal Black. Bought a bottle of the unscented beard wash to go with it and I think I'm good for a good while to come, though I may still pick up some Dragon Spice when it gets restocked to see whether I like it better. Great vid as usual. On the whipped vs traditional butters, If your paying for 4 ounces, you should be getting 4 ounces regardless of the consistency. Any thing else your getting short changed by the company, which isn’t right.
Weighing to compare whipped against not would tell ya, but don’t the containers have a Net weight on them? That should be how much product is in there.
I like Downshift, but I got to admit it smells like Hoo Hoo Dabber. Smells like something a lady uses on her Hoo Hoo. I like sweet smelling stuff but had to give it to someone and went with the Barbershop one. Love the Barbershop in oil, balm and butter. I actually use the balm as a solid cologne. The Downshift is a unique scent.
FreshBeards was my introduction as well too, but now after all my buying, its definitely my least favorite now! I LOVE Husky . I LOVE Detroit Grooming, & i use BeardBrand's utility balm as well.

Do you get that funky lotion-like smell from the fresh beards butters? I haven't tried blacklight, but Freak and 1920 both give off that funky lotion smell once the scent tones Down after 30 minutes or so. Might be what Shea smells like, i don't know but it smells like old man bar soaps and lotion. So Yeah those butters ended up in the trash can quickly.

Serious question: I use CPAP at night to treat sleep apnea, not optional. So does anyone else use butters or oils at night before bed and then use your CPAP mask and have issues with grease/oil build up on the mask and it’s seal on your face?
Sanders Slithering Ball Pythons I use a Philips Dreamware nasal mask and I don’t have any problems. If you use a full face mask with a beard you’ll have sealing issues whether you use beard products or not.
Cory Friesen I’m a RPSGT that’s a sleep tech. I’m the guy that treats patients for sleep apnea. I use a fullface and my beard doesn’t bother the seal at all. What I’m asking is I’ve never applied beard butter at bed time. So I was wondering have any of you guys used beard butter “at night” and did the oils grease up the mask and cause it to not seal. Or leave a greasy residue on the mask. I feel like I already know the answer since it’s oils & butters and our mask are plastic and silicon. But thank you for responding brother!
Sanders Slithering Ball Pythons I guess when I had a short beard I used a full face mask and it sealed. When my beard got longer I had problems with getting a good seal. That’s why a switched to a dreamwear nasal mask. I didn’t use butter then but I can remember that the full mask would be a little slick but I would wipe it off with a mask cleaning wipe. This was from just using oil at night. I’d imagine butter would be a little more greasy on the mask than just oil but I don’t think it would affect the seal.
Dude I've mentioned this and no one has responded on that. I was kind of let down with the scent. I guess they use the same essential oils. But it was too hyped for me. It's not bad I just expected something else.

If its cheaper to get the oil.and buy the balm and butters from fresh beards I would do it. It's what I was planning to do if it's cheaper to do it. Plus the 1oz bottle from fresh beards seems smaller than a regular 1oz plus spartans den is 2oz for 13.99 on amazon. I would go that direction. If you wanna save money. And get two butter from fresh beards they usually have bogo sales. Or just try fresh beards oil you never know might be different for you.

Beard oil 2-3 times daily. Balm for short to medium beard for extra hold during the day. Butter really good for night routine. But for the longer beards that have the length and gravity on there side a butter will be fine for day use. But beard oil is always the first step. Also difference between balm and butter is normally not as much wax. So less holding. Hope this helps
@Spencer Williamson Live bearded products especially the balms have horrible scents to them and the oils and balms dry out my beard really bad, and i have a beard length like this guy on thr video...I've tried them all and I so far stick with the honest Amish brand but im also looking into new options 👍 hopefully this helped...keep on bearding!!🧔

Recently bought some Wild Willie's beard butter. Terrible. Stiffer than most balms, and very greasy. I actually have to wash my hands after using it or I get greasy prints all over the house.
Says beard shampoo is a must (because it is natural ingredients) and to never use regular shampoo because it's bad for beard. But can't say here that natural is better than synthetic lol. Well then why you keep using these products that are all natural for ya beard? Why not not use some motor oil or some GMO bacon grease 😆

That’s a bit harsh, I don’t know what your 5 o’clock shadow likes, or how much product you actually use. However, whipped butter is a butter none the less, a few ingredients off and mostly the amount of the ingredients from a traditional butter (if that’s even a thing) and more importantly these companies work hard on what they make. So as valued as your opinion is, please keep your negativity to yourself!! That being said.. Great video as always Scuba. You should check your IG messages once and a while!!

In your obviously long time as a consumer, that gives you enough of an expert opinion to call EVERY whipped butter trash, how many have you tried?? You can just use butters. They break down enough to absorb into your skin like an oil would as well as providing some hold to the beard.

Beard oil 2-3 times daily. Balm for short to medium beard for extra hold during the day. Butter really good for night routine. But for the longer beards that have the length and gravity on there side a butter will be fine for day use. But beard oil is always the first step. Also difference between balm and butter is normally not as much wax. So less holding. Hope this helps

@Spencer Williamson Live bearded products especially the balms have horrible scents to them and the oils and balms dry out my beard really bad, and i have a beard length like this guy on thr video...I've tried them all and I so far stick with the honest Amish brand but im also looking into new options 👍 hopefully this helped...keep on bearding!!🧔

Recently bought some Wild Willie's beard butter. Terrible. Stiffer than most balms, and very greasy. I actually have to wash my hands after using it or I get greasy prints all over the house.

Says beard shampoo is a must (because it is natural ingredients) and to never use regular shampoo because it's bad for beard. But can't say here that natural is better than synthetic lol. Well then why you keep using these products that are all natural for ya beard? Why not not use some motor oil or some GMO bacon grease 😆

That’s a bit harsh, I don’t know what your 5 o’clock shadow likes, or how much product you actually use. However, whipped butter is a butter none the less, a few ingredients off and mostly the amount of the ingredients from a traditional butter (if that’s even a thing) and more importantly these companies work hard on what they make. So as valued as your opinion is, please keep your negativity to yourself!! That being said.. Great video as always Scuba. You should check your IG messages once and a while!!

In your obviously long time as a consumer, that gives you enough of an expert opinion to call EVERY whipped butter trash, how many have you tried??
