For anyone who hasn’t tried beard butter yet....do it! Do it now! It is a complete game changer. Before using butters, it was really hard to comb through my beard in the morning. After I started using them, that became easier and overall styling became less of a chore. This list is great! I have 4 of these 5 companies butters. All great. I can’t say enough about your top 3...they are what I use the most! Each company has a great variety in scents, so there’s something for everyone! Great rundown, Dan!
Dan! Thank you so much for including me and the Summer Butter! Hearing great things about it, and I can’t wait to add more of the others you mentioned to my own stockpile! Appreciate all y’all beardos! (Also, Summer Butter DOES come in Dan C’s Ruddy Man scent, The Goat!)
I bought my first butters due to this video. Due to the sales at the time of purchase I decided to try special mention #6 Ruddy Man! I went with Red Wolf Whipped Butter and Big & Tall Summer Butter and I love them!
I am late to the comment sections but I actually was having issues with the beard butters just feeling heavy in beard. I randomly noticed that the shop I go to for all of my oils and bitters had shea nut oil so I accidentally fly created my own liquid butter using shea nut oil, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil. It really does give all of the same benefits without the heaviness of traditional butters.
I have tried more than several beard butter's. "Beard Octane" is what works for me. As a matter of fact... they are my "Go-To" for all products beard related. I just started using beard butter this week. Absolute game changer. My Grey hairs gained some pigment back. I feel refreshed. My skin feels amazing. I started using Wild Willies wild peppermint, but last night, I used Everyman Jack's beard butter. I feel like an idiot not using it before because I was ignorant, but after watching your videos, I have started my new regiment and routine, and it's paying dividends. Thank You Dan!
Fantastic Video DanC! I’ve been a butter man for years now. Hardly ever use balms. A “Balm” for me is for style and hold, with some conditioning, hydration and nourishment. That’s the only reason I use a balm. If I really need to have that styled look and some hold, which is rare. Out of 100 days, I may use balm 2-3 times. The rest of those days are Oil and Butter all the way! I want that long lasting nourishment, I want to give my beard that extra love and conditioning, and make sure it’s hydrated at all times... because of that, I use Butter all the time. I’ve got my butters that have a little hold that I’ll use if I’m going out. I’ve got my butters that have no hold, and I’ll use those on low maintenance days at home, and obviously for the nighttime. The goal is to never let the beard dry out. There are so many different types of butters out there. Poured or Whipped. Creamy or Airy. Gritty or Smooth. It’s endless, but it is simple. If the main purpose of the product is to give you the long lasting hydration, nourishment, and conditioning, then it’s a Butter. If the main purpose is to style your beard, and give it some hold then it’s a Balm. It doesn’t matter if it has wax or has no wax. If it’s creamy or if it’s whipped. It’s about the purpose of the product! There’s even some products out there that call themselves “balms” that are most definitely butters. For instance like HD Balm from Honest Amish.. Which is PHENOMENAL BTW. We’ve just got to get on the same page! Style and Hold = Balm Conditioning, Hydration, Nourishment = Butter That doesn’t mean that butter can’t have some styling and hold, or that balm can’t have some hydration, conditioning and nourishment... it’s simple. What is the MAIN purpose of the product? 👍 All those butters you went over in the video are A+! I love that you showed examples of different consistencies, and products with wax, and without wax! Kudos to you DanC! I know we’re on the same page when it comes to balms and butters. A lot of companies have been making butters for a LONG time. A lot of companies are just starting to see the benefits of butter and the demand from the community, and are coming out with butters. It’s great for all of us. Every company has a different take on Butter. They use different ingredients and have different ways of making their butters. I personally love it. Can’t wait to see what kind of butters we have a year from now. The future is bright my bearded brothers!
Story time. A couple years ago when I still knew nothing, I tried to get somewhat serious about having a beard. I'd never used products and had no knowledge, so I ended up with a poor quality drugstore balm and no oil. The balm was basically solid wax and was impossible to use. Fast forward to the beginning of this journey and I still had that balm on my shelf. I wanted to get products, but that balm left me thinking they would all be like that so I immediately wanted butters the first time I heard about them. They seemed perfect because there was no way it would be hard to use. I had originally planned to only use oil and butter because of my prejudice against balm. But then I ended up with a proper balm that actually emulsified and felt good, and watched your nighttime routine video and I switched up my plan. I rotate between Detroit Grooming, which was my first butter, Fresh Beards, and Uncle Donnie's and love them all. Definitely a game changer for me.
I was previously only using butters in the mornings, after finding your channel I started using them at bed time and my beard has been phenomenal ever since. I started using Uncle Donnie’s vanilla orchard and beard octanes citrafella and downshift buttas. I love Detroit grooming butter but for me it’s too oily for night time use so I use it in the morning. Also a sleeper butter is Luxurious Bastard butter and I just custom ordered a sweet bastard butter and I CANT wait to have it. Thanks for all you do!
After simply watching one of your first videos changed my life forever. I purchased a beard butter at my local store just 3 days ago. Beard butter gives my beard that prefect final touch. The nurturing shield, besides the look that I've been waiting for. On this note, my girlfriend absolutely couldn't stand my beard ... EVERY SINGLE DAY would tell me how much she hated it & that I didn't look attractive. Saying sh*t that almost made me just go & take a razor to my face. I had to explain it to her that I'm dumb & just simply didn't know that I was missing one key solution. 3 days later, boom problem solved. My beard is the best it has ever been & my girlfriend stopped acting like a b*tch. Major game changer. I guess w/all that's been said, it's better late, then never. lol Thanks again man!👍
I started butters because of you. I tried Beard Octane first, but didnt like the whipped. I went to Fresh Beards and ... WOW!! I really LOVE their butters! I love all of their stuff, the balms are super amazing!
I use it every night! My current rotation is Beard Octane Fabricator, Detroit Grooming Corktown and Traverse City, and The Luxurious Bastard's Bastard Butter.
I've seriously gotta thank you for turning me onto Detroit Grooming, a serious game changer. Prior to beard butter I was just using Honest Amish Beard Oil and their balm, and while those products are great, I always notice by night time and especially in the morning, my beard will feel brittle and the hairs wanna stray away all over the place. But I just started using the Detroit, and within the first 15 minutes I was impressed. I have a bit of a curly beard and the Detroit not only straightens the hairs out naturally, but it keeps everything compact and has an even better hold for me than any beard balm I've tried. And my beard has never felt softer and smoother, it's crazy how much more groomed and full it looks now.
I tried using beard butter at night after seeing one of your videos. By the 2nd day I could feel the difference in my silver beard. I am currently using the Waikiki beard butter from The Beard Baron. Talk about being transported to a tropical island! I love being to get the beard wash, oil, and butter in the same fragrance. Would like to try a whipped butter now that I have heard about them. GREAT VID! I love that you are not affiliated w/ just 1 company so your advice is completely unbiased!
@@DanCBearded I left out one of the most important products for my fellow mustached brothers. Beard Baron also has mustache wax in the same fragrance profile. It is a medium hold as is the beard butter (2nd ingredient is bees wax).
You definitely got me aboard the butter train. Love all that you mentioned. Can’t wait for Bad Dog to release that peppermint rosemary! Also awaiting an order from Crushers Creations, heard amazing things!
I used to have a pretty extensive beard routine with a range of different products, but I grew tired of the amount of time and work I was putting into it, and I also felt that both my beard and the skin underneath wasn't loving it. I decided to try out using only oil and butter combined with a bit of blow drying for daytime styling and butter for the night. So far I'm loving this routine. It's much quicker and my beard and skin feels much more healthy than before. I bought a jar of the Belle Isle butter from Detroit Grooming based on your recommendation, and as a night time butter it's the best I've tried. My beard feels so soft in the morning. As a daytime butter it doesn't really work for me though. It's definitely on the greasy side compared to the other butters I've tried. It's also very soft and so it doesn't really give my beard any hold. I do realize that a butter isn't supposed to be a strong hold kind of product, but I do find that other butters with just a tad more consistency to them work much better for me. I'm currently using a butter from a Danish company called Beardpilot for my daytime routine and it's working really well for me. I realize it's a very niche recommendation since I don't think they really operate outside Denmark as of now, but if you ever stumble upon them, try their butter. It's awesome.
So for the summer I’ve been exclusively using butter. Did some research and made my own. It’s been fantastic so far. Soaks right in and my beard stays light and soft all day. Keeps my face breathing. Love it.
Uncle Donnie’s is The Truth! Just pulled the trigger on the peppermint lemongrass! As you know Vanilla Orchard is my Number 1 in beard oil, balm, and butter! Crushing the game!
I will attest to this -ever since I watched your video on applying beard butter at the end of the day before I go to bed, I've started doing it and it one hundred percent is a game changer.I used to have the hardest time changing the look of my beard in the morning because it was so dry and hard and difficult to manage, but ever since I started applying the beard butter at night, all I have to do is run a comb through it in the morning and it looks 100% better. Thank you for suggesting it, it truly is a game changer.
Grave before shave should be on everyone's top butter list. Just bought it for the first time and all my flyaway hairs are finally tamed better than any balm could have done.
The ones on this list would be pretty close to still holding true 7 months later or so. th-cam.com/video/QBl8mKf1e4M/w-d-xo.html I am sure the list will be slightly different later this year, but not much
@@DanCBearded I already have DGC and Beard Octane butters on the top of my list to purchase. You didn't really say much about the Whiskey N Hardtack butter in this video in terms of the feel in beard and duration.
Love my butter! I actually forgot about my summer butter I got a little bit ago. I love how Nick's feels, but that summer butter is pretty great too. Very easy to use too much lol. Great list Dan!
Very late to the butter game... but lucky to start with Crushers Creations Enlightened - love it. Oil & Butter... my balms are pretty much just sitting on the shelf.
I am new to the community but since I have been watching and soaking up all your information on your channel to include the nightly beard butter which is (omish beard balm) I have noticed a huge difference. Thanks again for all your videos it really helps and I appreciate the positive caring atmosphere
Getting stuck in my ways with my beard I’ve never used butter before. My beard is a few inches shorter than yours. I think I should try some and put the balm down 😅
I tried beard butter because of your videos and now is my night routine too. I love Beard Octane butter, great consistency and effect on beard. Now I am trying the Luxurious Butter, really good too and leaves your beard smelling like pancakes! 🥞😁
I approve of this message. I'll add to the list. I'm finding fresh beards to be one of the best. I have all 5... and grave before shave, teakwood and aphrodisiac, gets used alot too at my house. But I have and use everything on your list.
I just got my first beard butter from Detroit grooming and wow I have been missing out! After one use I noticed a huge difference I can run a comb through my beard with ease in the morning. Thanks Dan C Bearded 🙏🏻
In europe i dont see much butters, only balms, oils & waxes..if you dont have aa pay pal its a problem to get products from USA,so i make my own butters from shea,coccoa,mango..mixed with light carrier oils. & its exellent💥...& I dont like whipped much as regular butters......all the best Dan!
I've only used Detroit Grooming Co butters. Luv them. I've seen videos and read up on Arrowroot powder. In cooking it's used as a natural thickening agent in gravies. And that is what it was used for in a diy butter video here on TH-cam. It's real good stuff. Thanks for everything you do Dan C.
I have used the royal beardsman in whiskey glaze and crusaders coast I do what you do I put them in overnight and my beard feels wonderful in the morning. Product goes on so easy. Love my Royal beardsman.
I LOOOOVE beard butter. I have beard octane in barbershop and downshift. Also like crushers creations butters. A little heavier and not whipped. Also love true north beard butter in the cherry tobacco scent
The very first beard butter that I ever used was Uncle Donnie’s winter Spice and absolutely LOVED it.. Dave (Bearded Motivation) is the one who introduced me to the world of night time butters. Ever since then I’ve been hooked! Your line up is very similar to mine with Detroit Grooming, Citrafella from Beard Octane, Ruddy butter from Ruddy Man and Uncle Donnie’s... BUT, my ABSOLUTE go to (since the release) on a daily/nightly basis is the SUMMER BUTTER!! WOOOOOH! What’s there not to love about it? I just can’t get enough. Thanks for the vid brotha! Gotta let the people know!👊🏾
Butter at night for sure. First was Beard Octane-downshift, Second was Chesapeake Beard Co-Command and Conquer and about 2 months ago Ruddymans Bombhouse. All are slightly different. Ruddyman is extremely creamy, CBC is whipped and Beard Octane another whipped but a little heavier. All 3 are wonderful relaxing scents for the evening. Up in the air about my next. Grave Before Shave, or Detroit, or? Not using balms much as I live in Clovis, CA summer temps are over 100 until September!
I bought my first butters due to this video. Due to the sales at the time of purchase I decided to try special mention #6 Ruddy Man! I went with Red Wolf Whipped Butter and Big & Tall Summer Butter and I love them! Keep the info coming!
Dan C got me to take the dive into beard butters. He has never steered me wrong. Detroit Grooming and Beard Octane really are at the top of the game. Personally I have to use quite a bit of butter at night. I'm not 100% certain why, but I attribute that to possibly having a rather coarse beard. But again, that might just be me. Beard butter at night + Beard conditioner in the morning = Healthy and very, soft beard.
I love Beard Octanes beard butter. I have Barbershop and Citrafella. I haven't had the pleasure using any of the other but they all have been on my list for a long time. I do use a beard butters from Grave Before Shave and the Baarden. They both have some body to them. I live in the dessert I have started using beard butters during the day instead of balm. My beard feels great and doesn't dry out in the hotter and colder months. And I do use them at night for nourishment as well.
Because of you, I bought my first butter (beard octane citrafella)and im speechless..beard never felt so soft and healthy..i use it during the day because my beard tends to get like a wire brush with just oil..just want to say thankyou for all these videos and help!
I didn't use butter the first couple of months of growing a beard, but since using it every night, my beard stays softer and feels and looks healthier. It's a real game changer.
Have you tried Royal Beardsmen's poured butter? I just got some (they were out of the whipped in the scent I wanted), and I freaking love it. Great feel in beard, and the Cavalier scent is way up there with personal favorite scents of any beard product I've used. One use in and I'm hooked.
I just got my uncle donnies vanilla orchard oil and butter combo today and love it. Been looking for a butter with a hold closer to a light balm and found it.
I personally can't get enough of beard butter...Honest Amish was my first, but then I tried Detroit Beard Co's 'Corktown', Fresh Beards 'Freak' and 'Beach Blend', almost finished with my last container of Artius Man beard butter 'nonscented'...I loved them all, Artius Man and Fresh Beards are probably my favorite, but next up to try is Beard Octane...I just got their conditioner and it's now my favorite. So now it's time to try the beard butter
My favorites are Corktown & Mackinac from Detroit Grooming, Ginger Jamboree from Beard Octane, Holy Grail from Kingsman Beard Club. I got some stuff from Fable coming soon.
I been trying conditioning balms. An I been starting to dabble with budders as well. I’ll have to try some uncle Donnie an Detroit for a more heavy conditioning budder. I use the beard octane but it’s light . Like u said .
I use beard butter every night, and I've only tried 3 so far but I made sure to try the best three based of what I learned from your videos lol. I have uncle Donnie's, beard octane's, and Detroit grooming beard butters and love them all.
Great video Dan. So I am a huge fan of beard butters. Like you said there is such a wide variety. I live in the desert and will not buy balms or traditional beard butters during the summer unless I get it locally or know it’s not going to next. It’s 110 degrees during the day and does not get bellow 100 at night in Phoenix due to the concrete abs asphalt. They call it a heat island I will buy beard octane. They have figured out melting point temperatures on their products and if I just throw them in the fridge for thirty minutes and we’re all good. Number 2. For me is a local company to me which is why I buy it. Live bearded. Is a great day and night butter. It has good. Hold and nourishment.
Lux butter is great quality, but way too strong for me to wear for a night nourishing butter. I used a wood comb with it the first time I used the butter, and the comb is still strained with the scent like 3 weeks later. I know others love that though. It sells, which is all that matters! I just could never include a product in my video that I do not use. No matter how much I love the owner, company, and everything else they make. I am always honest, with my knowledge, facts, and personal preference
@@DanCBearded Totally understand Dan, all my combs are forever embraced with the butter scent. Luckily for me I love that sweet aroma! Keep rockin Dan love your videos and all the superb information you give out to the bearded community!
Coming in quick with those awesome choices. Thanks for sharing Dan🤙 Just got my order in for the Detroit Grooming butter. Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks Dan😁
At a time when BeardTube was telling guys he didn't see a need for butter, you were there to step in and find the benefits. I believe The Trusted Teacher is to thank for my extremely large beard butter collection. I've tried, used and love all of your top 6 on a regular basis. It would be almost impossible for me to make a top 6, but I do know Barbu Beard Co would be number one. Also not on your list that I absolutely love are Crusher's Creations and Anointed AK's Beard Rescue. Both have incredible customer service and high quality products
Now I know what you mean, my first love was beard octane. After you recommend Joe, and His products, I only bought Beard Octane.... Then,. I watched your video, Grey Beards, you recommend Detroit Grooming, Uncle Donnies, among others. For the oils that they use in their product line., I bought both. So. Now I know what you mean. That one video has changed my life. ... Like you, every other day, I use Beard Octane. ( and every night) in the daytime i change it up between Uncle Donnies and Detroit Grooming. .... And Amy still asks me why I watch your channel religiously. Thank you so much.
Recently ordered Beard Octanes butter and have really, really enjoyed it. They also shipped it with a cool pack, so it didn't melt on the way to me which was awesome.
I really like the smell of the Moroccan mint and cedar beardwash from goodfellow, but they dont make it in a beard butter. Is there anything youd recommend close to that kind of smell?
I recently started using grave before shave’s butter after it sitting on my shelf for some time. Doesn’t have beeswax, and the teakwood scent is great. Besides that, I used Orchard Lake.
Great list Dan! Using butters at night was an absolute game changer! Love Baddog, Beard Octane and Uncle D's. My next purchase will be King Tingle for sure, summer butter will be perfect for the Sydney sunshine! 😎 👊 🧡
Dan, it seems like a beard butter wouldn't be a butter without shea butter! I think it's so amazing I went out and purchased it by itself in two forms the liquefied version and the more solid version. I've been experimenting with just using it by itself later in the day when I want another treatment and it has that nice soft feel to it. This video is a bit older and maybe you have an updated version the doctor Nick's beard butter that looks like some good stuff.
I have the Detroit Corktown and Ruddy summer butter. I love them both for night and day. I’m one who prefers not to use balm all that much. If I’m feeling “extra dry” for some reason, I’ll throw a little corresponding oil or some sweet almond oil in with the Detroit butter to really get down to the skin and beard. Great video again Dan!
Love the videos! Very informative! Keep it up! I just wanted to say that on my sound system there's a lot of really low bumps and bangs in your video. My sub woofer (and dog) is tripping out haha. I think, not sure, that's it's your mic picking up vibrations from the table? It seems to happen when you place stuff down and whatnot. I recommend mounting the mic somewhere else, or filter out the low frequencies with a eq or pass filter. If you use editing software it should be easy to make a eq setting that drops off all low frequencies. Looking forward for more content!
Hey Dan. New beard guy (5 months) and new subscriber. Have some butter from Detroit Grooming Co on the way. Can't wait. Thanks, I really like your videos. 😎🧔
Fresh Beards is the only butter I use mainly because the classic is truly unscented doesn't have that funky natural smell like most beard products do and it's one of the best shea butter but I have Uncle Donnie's butter on it way now comes in tomorrow hoping it does the beard good
I went to my local African grocery and bought Shea butter, Coconut oil (solid) and make my own beard butter, also added a bit of sweet almond oil and lavender essential oil. Very nice and crazy cheaper than these companies
I use Grave Before Shave and Detroit Grooming for my butters and it truly was a game changer. My beard feels and looks great now after a month of using these products! Keep educating us Dan C 📚 🤓
I am using Dgc Belle Isle every day. But you mentioned the beard get used to the same product. I feel like there is truth to that. The feeling when you try a new good product and have a awesome feeling. I need to shake up the routine again I think. But I love belle isle👊👌
I have not tried those butters...must try...the ones I use mostly is grave before shave and beard care club both have excellent flavors and pretty dang good...must try those others tho
Since I have started my journey as a beardsman I have found that orchard lake beard butter from Detroit grooming is my favorite night time as well as through the day beard butter. I want to try lux's butter also, considering I have his oils/balms and they are amazing. Thanks for the info and your knowledge. Before I seen your channel I was just using Walmart products, you have really been a game changer for me in my bearded journey. A big Thanks DANC 🤝👍🧔keep up the great content and info u da man👍🥇
Dan, thanks for your video on beard butters! Up until watching your video, I have never used a beard butter. I've used balms. I decided to try the Belle Isle butter and will not use balms again. That butter is fantastic from the first day I used it! I was satisfied with the conditioner I was using before, but the Belle Isle made a big difference. I'm going to try the Beard Octane as well. I also tried beard butter from Cake and Barrel. It was close to the Belle Isle in everything, but the Belle Isle won. Keep up the great videos!

Thank you brotha! That's amazing to hear

I had to explain it to her that I'm dumb & just simply didn't know that I was missing one key solution. 3 days later, boom problem solved. My beard is the best it has ever been & my girlfriend stopped acting like a b*tch.
Major game changer.
I guess w/all that's been said, it's better late, then never. lol
Thanks again man!👍
Dude that’s awesome to hear!! Welcome to the channel 🤝
I started butters because of you. I tried Beard Octane first, but didnt like the whipped. I went to Fresh Beards and ... WOW!! I really LOVE their butters! I love all of their stuff, the balms are super amazing!
That's great! They have a nice heavy body for a butter. I'm glad you found what works for you!
Luxurious Bastard beard butter is amazing too. I rotate it with Uncle Donnie and Detroit Grooming. Amazing butters. Wanting to try Beard Octane
Son Goku .
Thank man! Appreciate that
Awesome!
I use it every night! My current rotation is Beard Octane Fabricator, Detroit Grooming Corktown and Traverse City, and The Luxurious Bastard's Bastard Butter.
That's a great rotation!
That’s fantastic!
Haven't tried butter yet. I am new to the beard game in general. I appreciate your reviews, tips, tricks and overall sharing of knowledge
Butter is a game changer!
Trust Dan for sure.
That is great to hear!! And beard Baron is fantastic
Str8-Bearded *Rob Acker* your videos are the biggest reason I pulled the trigger! Can’t wait to get it in beard!
I reallyyyy need that peppermint rosemary!
Love it.
That's great that it's working for you brotha 👊
Uncle Donnie’s is The Truth! Just pulled the trigger on the peppermint lemongrass! As you know Vanilla Orchard is my Number 1 in beard oil, balm, and butter! Crushing the game!
Heck yes! Amazing stuff
That is awesome Will!!
Grave before shave should be on everyone's top butter list. Just bought it for the first time and all my flyaway hairs are finally tamed better than any balm could have done.
That is a solid product, but just market average for me personally. Not near my top, but also not in the bottom.
My two favorite butters are Kingsmen Premium and Beard Justice
Awesome!
I just got my first beard butter from River Peak Apothecary, completely changed my beard game and I LOVE it!!! Good video!
I love fable and beard octane...lcw is a must have!!! I havent tried these other companies.
Awesome Richard! Cannot go wrong with those two great companies you mentioned
Please do an update video of best beard butters of this year so far.
The ones on this list would be pretty close to still holding true 7 months later or so. th-cam.com/video/QBl8mKf1e4M/w-d-xo.html
I am sure the list will be slightly different later this year, but not much
@@DanCBearded I already have DGC and Beard Octane butters on the top of my list to purchase. You didn't really say much about the Whiskey N Hardtack butter in this video in terms of the feel in beard and duration.
@@diezelmods8000 full body feel and lasts all day!
Love my butter! I actually forgot about my summer butter I got a little bit ago. I love how Nick's feels, but that summer butter is pretty great too. Very easy to use too much lol. Great list Dan!
Thanks for sharing!!
@@DanCBearded Any time!
Very late to the butter game... but lucky to start with Crushers Creations Enlightened - love it. Oil & Butter... my balms are pretty much just sitting on the shelf.
I just got that in and I am excited to try it!
Love the beard butter. My favorites are Magic City (with and without CBD) and Copper John’s for gray beards. I use it every night.
That’s great!
I am new to the community but since I have been watching and soaking up all your information on your channel to include the nightly beard butter which is (omish beard balm) I have noticed a huge difference. Thanks again for all your videos it really helps and I appreciate the positive caring atmosphere
I have 2 of them, but coming from you I need to step up the game, I need to get the other 3 . Thank you so much sir for sharing this review with us
Thank you Ivan!
Getting stuck in my ways with my beard I’ve never used butter before. My beard is a few inches shorter than yours. I think I should try some and put the balm down 😅
You won't regret it!
Really great job dan💪💪 but pls tell me that does beard butter harm our beard or make it grey??
I tried beard butter because of your videos and now is my night routine too. I love Beard Octane butter, great consistency and effect on beard. Now I am trying the Luxurious Butter, really good too and leaves your beard smelling like pancakes! 🥞😁
Heck yeah!
I approve of this message. I'll add to the list. I'm finding fresh beards to be one of the best. I have all 5... and grave before shave, teakwood and aphrodisiac, gets used alot too at my house. But I have and use everything on your list.
Awesome Hank! I do like GBS and Fresh Beards as well 👊
Agree with GBS Aphrodisiac.
I just got my first beard butter from Detroit grooming and wow I have been missing out! After one use I noticed a huge difference I can run a comb through my beard with ease in the morning. Thanks Dan C Bearded 🙏🏻
You're welcome brotha! I always speak the truth
Good picks. Absolutely agree. Also feel the Bastard Butter is on that list as well.
Thanks brotha!
Awesome!!
Just watched it again. She uses Arrowroot powder for making the butter less greasy
I have used the royal beardsman in whiskey glaze and crusaders coast I do what you do I put them in overnight and my beard feels wonderful in the morning. Product goes on so easy. Love my Royal beardsman.
Awesome comment brotha!
I love how passionate you are about all of this. 😂💙
I love this stuff!
You totally sold me on Detroit grooming butter Corktown, just sent for some today, also sandalwood buffalo tooth comb.👍
Awesome!
Loved the video. Detroit grooming was my first butter I used and have loved them ever since. I actually went to Belle Isle yesterday.
Oh very cool!
Yeah, 5+ years ago you hardly heard anyone talking about beard butters- but now most powerful people choose a Butter over a Balm
No balms for me at all
Indeed. It's butter all the way.
Bearded brother, I just wanted to say thanks for all your great vids. They’ve been super helpful as this beard grows out. Well done.
That is awesome to hear, thank you!
I love beard butter at night time for the conditioning purposes. I use both Artius Man & Bad Ass Beard Care. Can't go wrong with either of these!
I LOOOOVE beard butter. I have beard octane in barbershop and downshift. Also like crushers creations butters. A little heavier and not whipped. Also love true north beard butter in the cherry tobacco scent
Awesome Dan!
Gotta let the people know!👊🏾
Awesome comment, thank you Mondo!
Oh that is an easy answer... DGC!
Thank you buddy!!
My first ever Detroit grooming Belle Isle butter is nearly here, Cant wait
How is it?
I love Beard Octanes beard butter. I have Barbershop and Citrafella. I haven't had the pleasure using any of the other but they all have been on my list for a long time. I do use a beard butters from Grave Before Shave and the Baarden. They both have some body to them. I live in the dessert I have started using beard butters during the day instead of balm. My beard feels great and doesn't dry out in the hotter and colder months. And I do use them at night for nourishment as well.
That's a great comment, thank you!
Because of you, I bought my first butter (beard octane citrafella)and im speechless..beard never felt so soft and healthy..i use it during the day because my beard tends to get like a wire brush with just oil..just want to say thankyou for all these videos and help!
You're absolutely welcome! I'm glad it is working 👊
I didn't use butter the first couple of months of growing a beard, but since using it every night, my beard stays softer and feels and looks healthier. It's a real game changer.
Heck yeah!
I love the beard butters uncle Donnie and Baarden are my favorites right now and I have to so some love to beard octane they were my first.
Awesome brotha!
Fantastic review. Ordered one of the products. Thanks.
Thanks Andy!
Ruddy Man Grooming Co is my #1! Oils, whipped Butter, liquid butter, Wash, Co- wash, Combs
Have you tried Royal Beardsmen's poured butter? I just got some (they were out of the whipped in the scent I wanted), and I freaking love it. Great feel in beard, and the Cavalier scent is way up there with personal favorite scents of any beard product I've used. One use in and I'm hooked.
Theirs is like a unique mix of a poured and whipped. It’s great!
That’s awesome to hear David!
I know longer recommend uncle donnies because his shipping and customer service has been terrible. DGC is fantastic still!
I use beard butter every night, and I've only tried 3 so far but I made sure to try the best three based of what I learned from your videos lol. I have uncle Donnie's, beard octane's, and Detroit grooming beard butters and love them all.
Those are certainly Mt. Rushmore of butters for me!
They call it a heat island
I will buy beard octane. They have figured out melting point temperatures on their products and if I just throw them in the fridge for thirty minutes and we’re all good. Number 2. For me is a local company to me which is why I buy it. Live bearded. Is a great day and night butter. It has good. Hold and nourishment.
I love how beard octane has mastered the melting point. Live beard is really good as well, and a great company of guys
Come on Dan, no mention of The Luxurious Bastard Butter!
Adam Katalak .
Thanks Adam you’re too kind 🙏🏻
I agree, Luxorious has one of the best butters out there!
Yep, this is a travesty that Lux’s butter is not on this list. Lol. He’s on mine no doubt about it. All personal preference. 🙏👊💪👍🙏
Awesome video like always. Love your channel. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much Kevin!
I’ve been using Gladiator beard butter. I’m very happy with their product
Coming in quick with those awesome choices. Thanks for sharing Dan🤙
Just got my order in for the Detroit Grooming butter. Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks Dan😁
Thanks Ray!
Just ordered two different butters from Detroit and royal beard men
Two of the best!
Awesome comment and additions Steve, thank you! I am really proud to have been preaching butter before I heard anyone else 👊
The Teacher has spoken!!!! Lol!! Cool thanks Dan👍🏾. I have Summer butter and Baarden butter. Good stuff.
I have to try some Baarden!
I have a decently long beard. All I use is oil and butter. Beard feels great 👍
Awesome!
That is awesome!!
Recently ordered Beard Octanes butter and have really, really enjoyed it. They also shipped it with a cool pack, so it didn't melt on the way to me which was awesome.
Loveee that stuff and company!
I really like the smell of the Moroccan mint and cedar beardwash from goodfellow, but they dont make it in a beard butter. Is there anything youd recommend close to that kind of smell?
I would say get an unscented butter and add a few drops of your favorite oil to it in hand, and then you get the best of both worlds!
After watching your videos i converted to using butters! Ive only used Detroit grooming so far but i love their cherry tobacco scent!
Some of the best right there!
I'm new to the beard butter game, but I like Live Bearded's The Legend scent. It smells like vanilla and it makes my beard feel amazing.
That is my favorite scent from them and really quality stuff!
I recently started using grave before shave’s butter after it sitting on my shelf for some time. Doesn’t have beeswax, and the teakwood scent is great. Besides that, I used Orchard Lake.
Awesome brotha 👊
Great list Dan! Using butters at night was an absolute game changer! Love Baddog, Beard Octane and Uncle D's. My next purchase will be King Tingle for sure, summer butter will be perfect for the Sydney sunshine! 😎 👊 🧡
Should be a perfect product for you Rob P!
I'm putting some of These Butters on my bucket list. Great video as always brother!
Awesome! You will love them
Dan, it seems like a beard butter wouldn't be a butter without shea butter!
Doctor nicks butter is amazing!
Thank you Ben!
Great video my man! I go through Octane Downshift butta like the Cleveland Browns go through quarterbacks! Good stuff.
Sophisticated Neanderthal 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That’s wrong and funny at the same time.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha perfect comment
Love the videos! Very informative! Keep it up!
I just wanted to say that on my sound system there's a lot of really low bumps and bangs in your video. My sub woofer (and dog) is tripping out haha.
I think, not sure, that's it's your mic picking up vibrations from the table? It seems to happen when you place stuff down and whatnot. I recommend mounting the mic somewhere else, or filter out the low frequencies with a eq or pass filter. If you use editing software it should be easy to make a eq setting that drops off all low frequencies.
Looking forward for more content!
You spell your name correctly! Lol!
Thanks for the feedback brotha!
Love Royal Beardsmen dragon spice is amazing
Great company!
Great reviews Dan. Just ordered Uncle Donnie's beard butter and can't wait to get it in my beard!
Have you tried it yet?
@@DanCBearded No i haven't Dan, been waiting almost a week for it.
Not sure if you've tried it yet, but I REALLY like Chesapeake's Mojo, it sounds similar to Ruddy's Summer Butter. Great list!
Oh I have brotha! Totally different products though. Mojo is more like a jelly, and I enjoy that product too
Hey Dan. New beard guy (5 months) and new subscriber. Have some butter from Detroit Grooming Co on the way. Can't wait. Thanks, I really like your videos. 😎🧔
Thank you brotha, I appreciate that!
I have tried a couple of butters I have not used any of the ones you have showed but I will thanks Dan C
Fresh Beards is the only butter I use mainly because the classic is truly unscented doesn't have that funky natural smell like most beard products do and it's one of the best shea butter
but I have Uncle Donnie's butter on it way now comes in tomorrow hoping it does the beard good
Oh it will make that beard do a happy dance!
I went to my local African grocery and bought Shea butter, Coconut oil (solid) and make my own beard butter, also added a bit of sweet almond oil and lavender essential oil. Very nice and crazy cheaper than these companies
That sounds awesome brotha! Lavender at night is amazing
Dan C Bearded DIY is the way to go!
@@JAinMorocco not for me, but I respect anyone that does!

Thank you brotha!
I am using Dgc Belle Isle every day. But you mentioned the beard get used to the same product. I feel like there is truth to that. The feeling when you try a new good product and have a awesome feeling. I need to shake up the routine again I think. But I love belle isle👊👌
For sure! Actually making a video on that soon
I have not tried those butters...must try...the ones I use mostly is grave before shave and beard care club both have excellent flavors and pretty dang good...must try those others tho
I think you would enjoy a slight step up with any of these!
A big Thanks DANC 🤝👍🧔keep up the great content and info u da man👍🥇
The only thing you should be getting from Wal-mart is honest Amish which is one of the best oils an balms on the market .
The others SUCK BAD...
That is awesome to hear, thank you so much Chris!
I too love butters. But i dont like to go to sleep with any product in my beard. I feel like it just all goes into the pillow/blanket
Silk pillowcases and waiting at least 10 minutes before getting into bed after applying products will change your life!
Thanks Mike!
I love beard butter. Mayor game changer indeed. Currently I love butters with aloe in them.
Aloe is an amazing ingredient for beard and skin!
