hiya evolved godzilla head looks better and hiya shimo I mean just its not just all white and it hase better detail pluse shma is to mucg money for me my mom would be pissed if I showed it to her but whe's not buying it any ways
I like shmas godzillas sharper sculpt, and the paint on the body slightly morel I might like the hiyas head more but I like the shmas more noticeable eyes. I like shmas more. But hiyas looks great as well, but shma is my pick.
I like that the Hiya is pretty much the same thing but 3 times cheaper 🙂
And better looking paint besides the dorsals imo

Dangerville made a good point in their most recent vid that I would like to bring up. Ever since NECA stopped making their Godzilla figures, Bandai has stopped trying as much as they haven’t had much competition….buuuttt then Hiya came along and put all their effort into these sculpts and the figure as a whole at that. Hopefully Bandai will learn that they aren’t on top anymore, and that they have really intense competition and actually put effort into their figures.
That is the hope!
I guess what I prefer from Hiya is the following: low price, detailed screen-accurate sculpt, great paint apps, (and just some general stuff about the line) focusing on everything rather than sticking to one era (Heisei, millennium, Monsterverse) and their willingness to listen to feedback and apply it to their figures!
Yeah the feedback thing is huge. And they are improving in every single area of figure making

SHMA care mostly about money, not about making good figures

Hiya has the perfect balance of affordability and quality, their figures are so accurate and articulated enough for me to make cool animations with them without having to sell another organ.

The fact shmas godzilla was the only thing that was better looking getting topped in actual person plus hiya will once more update sculpt considering dorsal plates still have some issues while their own statue doesnt have that same issue

I'm a Hiya guy, but I hope this situation motivates SH to make their figures better for the sake of their own good. They have potential and still got time. HOPEFULLY those displayed ones wouldn't end up being the final version...right..?

HIYA COOKED!! I like the dirtier look on hiya evolved because it feels more accurate to the movie. Also like Shimo more because you can get that variation of color, rather than SHMA’s bland white. And finally, the prices are just so worth it for these figures (personally I think only hiya has a good price point)
Honestly I like the less vibrant spines on Hiya's Evo Goji more(They're also more screen accurate). But with Hiya Shimo, the old purple and blue spines were better(Adds a third color and is more screen accurate to Shimo while not using her frostbite blast), In my opinion the paint from the SDCC version should be on her frostbite blast figure.
Hiya definitely improved since the promo pictures and I think it’s now a bit better than sh.

Shma Shimo looks like a playmates custom
The Hiya paint on the spines are actually more accurate than Bandai. Based on the Hiya statue that’s 1 to 1 with the movie CGI model, we can see that when Godzilla isn’t powering up his spines are a mix of white and pink. Hiya did the same thing on their figure. Bandai just left there’s a plain pink. Negative points for accuracy but that’s Bandai for you 🤷🏻♂️
Hiya is easily better, lower price and more accurate.

The Hiya Evolved Godzilla first promotional pics on Amazon look like he would be top heavy because of his chest but now with that side picture of him he looks really good

I love Hiya’s head sculpt for the majority of their figures, they wait her look really accurate or close to be accurate enough to where you believe they just took the cgi off screen and made it into a figure
I will be picking up a new hyia kong if it goes well I will be buying the GXK kong and the Godzilla evolved

I personally like the design for the shma evolved but hiya definitely nails screen accuracy for their figure imo
Two things: It’s interesting that SHMA changed the neck articulation to match Hiya; and I think Hiya’s Shimo will be bigger than SHMA and scale well with the other Hiya figures.
crazy that shma shimo will cost almost more than the whole set for hiya im assuming which is gonna be around $250 for every character

I think what is fairly exciting for me is that the Godzilla 2014 heat ray version is the translucent one. To me, that looks like Hiya is now going to skip over the painted heat ray/whatever figures and jump straight to the translucent version instead (most likely due to far more people buying the translucent versions). I hope that when they do reveal an inevitable frostbite blast Shimo, Heat Ray Godzilla Evolved, etc. they are translucent as well
The proportions on Hiya and the head sculpt look way more accurate
I think Monsterarts did a good job on Godzilla evolved i do like how it looks on my opinion the dorsal plates look good and the the arms, hands, feet, legs and tail look pretty amazing but shimo oh boy the mouth looks a crocodiles mouth so i would say monsterarts lost some points on the mouth of shimo

I’m not gonna because not because it’s cheap my Godzilla 2024 hiya is that I hate that the arms are like coming off and it’s easy to put them back on but I still like shma bc sometimes his hands don’t fall off that much but that’s your opinion
The HIYA for sure had some touching up because it looks really good compared to what it used to. It used to be really bulky and odd looking in some areas (of course the promo images didn’t help) but now they look comparable. They nailed the face sculpt and at this point I think they’ve matched or exceeded SHMA’s which is still insane in its own right. The articulation and vibrancy of the dorsals of the SHMA really draw me in, and now I REALLY don’t know which one to pick 😭

I’m gonna be honest. I like Hiya shimo’s spines more. I never liked how dark they were on the playmates and even shma cause it’s supposed to look like ice not dark sapphire clear spines. I like the more icy look of Hiya shimo’s spines but that’s just me

The hiya evolved's paint looks a lot better in these new pictures, while the shma got worse lol hiya looks a lot less stiff now to. Old promos looked awkward.
Yoooo u gotta look at their kong, its pretty cool. And the gap u talked about from the torso isnt really a problem
i will say hiya looks better, as of right now how their figure looks in the pic it reminds me how Godzilla look when he was about to do his Olympic dive which it has that coloring sort of speak.
I still think the monster arts evolved goji is going to come out better, an underrated feature to me are the hands. Hiya still has the basic hands we’ve seen on every figure for the past decade.
The Shimos I’m going to have wait on reviews, the monsterarts head sculpt is unfortunate but I like the scaling and curious about articulation. The hiya shimo sculpt looks great just hate its undersized and there’s some cuts I wish they did better with it. Might just have to go with the spiral statue until further notice.

i like the detail on the hiya.
I always struggling to pay for most of SHMA figures to the point I skipped most of their figures for being overpriced, but not with Hiya. Even when Hiya's does get a bit pricey (Ghidorah), it is still worth it because of the quality of their figures. It's crazy how SHMA got away with overcharging their customers while doing bare minimum for their products. Insane.
SHMA please for the love of Godzilla make these better.I still hope they pull through with evolved but I know that Shimo is almost cause
honestly I like both of them, anyways for me it comes down to availability and QC and how fast it can get in my hands, not price because at the end of the day im still gonna buy either way. I love the accuracy of the hiya but I love the colours on the SHMA and articulation

I don't know if this counts, but I specifically like how the Hiya Toys Godzilla has the more muted pink for the dorsal plates. The color may not pop as much as the SHM, but I'm pretty sure this is more movie accurate when Godzilla isn't powering up. The Hiya Toys Godzilla looks more accurate in general to me. A very cool figure!

I thinkninstill like the monsterarts evogoji better, hiya looks better now than the promo version but the dorsal plates I think look better on shma and that's important to me for a godzilla, plus the greenish hue doesn't bug me a ton. Maybe it's cope since i bought the figure, but I still like it, but hiya is definitely enough to secondguess
I like the hiya godzilla figure more but the sucked in stomach is getting on my mind
But something about shimo being skinny is really cool when you start to look at it but other than that hiya shimo is way better
For me the jaw on the sh monsterarts Godzilla evolved is not a problem because normally the sh monsterarts haves a type of weird articulation on the jaw that make it look weird like the Godzilla vs kong Godzilla jaw but depending on the position of the articulation makes it look much better , however we didn’t see yet reviews in hand

the godzillas look the same imo, hardly any differences. obviously got hiya cuz the sh monsterarts price is craazy
I think they just need to fix the lower jaw of shma goji, it looks kinda weird. Other than that I like it way more than hiya. Even with that pink mouth.

The Hiya figure looks good, if not better, but undeniably good, for a decent price.
The SHMA figure looks good but questionable in some aspects and is nearly TRIPLE THE PRICE of its comparison.
That should really be the end of the debate right there. I’m not paying hundreds of dollars for a figure that isn’t short of excellent and modern SHMA is not that regardless of Hiya’s quality.
I hope hiya shimo doesn’t look like that because of the spine color and like he said the color of the body I think the one we should have is the images of the hiya shimo seen at the Godzilla s Kong premiere.
Tbh, I think HIYA could become a SHMA Killer. Just hear me out: For the last while, HIYA has been listening to their fans, and giving us content we actually want, and has magnificent sculpts. SHMA usually makes half-assed figures that are almost double, to triple the price of HIYA, and don’t usually listen to their fans. I rest my case.
Eh I see what you’re saying but Bandai is doing just fine financially. They usually make shma to order too so they don’t lose money on them. And it’s really only monsterverse shma that lack, some of their heisei and show stuff is incredible. Still more expensive, sure, but maybe for a different target audience. I just wouldn’t put much stock into the fact that any one company can completely destroy another in the toy space. Nor should we want that. We need competition, it’ll make both better eventually

I think Hiya’s tail articulation is just improving more and more and I feel it’s better than SHMA at this point. Heisei Godzilla looks to have amazing tail articulation, same with GMK, and you can even see these improvements on Evolved Godzilla as well.
Yeah the Hokkaido Godzilla heat ray tail articulation looks great. And I would fully agree, but…shma Godzilla ‘72s tail is another level

Looks like hiya fixed the neck cuz in the promo pics for their evolved g his neck legit looked smushed and off but it looks 100x better in person. SHMA kinda looks like they did worse than in their promo pics imo it looks a bit more wonky now

I honestly and truly believe the HIYA evolved Godzilla is going to surpass SHMA's in terms of sculpt and paint. When Bandai's evolved Godzilla was first revealed I full well expected it to fall short of the promotional images, based on what happened with Godzilla minus one. And I think I was right.

Hiya shimo is movie accurate, the official height of her on 4 legs is 375 making her tallee then kong but shorter then godzilla
6:40 i would argue that they should stay as they are, the shma spike colours are absolute trash, they're just one blue colour with some transparency and that's it. It's basically an articulated playmates figure. I believe that HIYA shimo's spikes are way more movie accurate. If you're saying that the bottom of hiya shimo's spines should be a darker blue, okay, that's fair enough. but i can let the colours slide as they are because it's almost like they just brought the cgi model into the real world.
Yeah pretty much I’m saying I just want them to have more contrast to the body of the figure. As it is in this photo they look too close. Some darker colors like in the promo pics would be great. And also, these images aren’t the best so it’ll probably look better

8:39 (this is very long and probably some typos) I like the hiya one better not because just if the price mostly the accuracy and how it looked like it came from the movies when Kong and Godzilla were fighting in Egypt it got accurate texure unlike shma and the chest joint is not very visible and the proportions look way better then it looked like in the stocking pictures also with shimo to its crazy how much shma screwed up with there new model the old version looked amazing and how if you put both of the companies figures together it really shows how much hiya put into it made it affordable and made it way more accurate model jump paint job and more hiya takes win easily no diff
Shimo from shma shimo looks like they glued a skin flap and a ninja turtle shell on the back and you can basically literally see basically inside her arm the joints are 100% visible neck and head looks like a giraffe and fun fact if you look at where the tail starts/ lower body it’s a very tall shard on the start of her tail and that’s the same shard that was in the official concept art for shimo then her nails for her toes are black but hiya seen that they are blue and made them blue then shimos paint job sucks there roaring faces for each of the kaiju’s looks like they think mayonnaise is a instrument but suko looks amazing probably the most accurate figure but guess what THE ROARING FACE IS WORST THEN SKAR KINGS and the Kong figure don’t look like he has no muscles at all in gxk he was more buff and healthy since he was in hollow earth and getting enough nutrients while gvk is not that buff weaker and gets tired easier the hiya one in my opinion looks 10x better you can find it on another yt vid someone showed it and it looks very good but the only thing that’s not that good is the gap between his chest/visable chest joint but both companies are good but i think shma is way better in making toho figures
