Excellent! Really looking forward to watching your progress guys. Please, don't spare any of the details and make sure you show us everything you do. Subscribed in anticipation of the next episode.
Not 'High compression cylinder heads' mate, The heads were standard 'B' Type, And straight port on the later 340/240's, It was the pistons that determined the compression ratio, 7:1, 8:1 (Standard) and 9:1, I should know as i've owned 7 MK2's and i know me onions! 😂Cheers.
I think you boys need to be very careful bandying the "Coombs" attribution anywhere near that car because it`s simply not and never will be, "Period upgraded" at best.

This is going to be an exciting project.
Great to see a Ragtops channel!
Great project. I have a ‘61 Mk 2 and I’ll be watching your progress. Best of luck!
Glad to be one of your early subscribers. My Dad had a 59 Mk2 in the Dove Gray, when I was born in 63. It's still a beautiful car.
Let's not forget that some Mk2s came with the baby 2.4 liter 6. I have a 68 Mk2 240. The joys of right-hand drive and left-hand shift :)
I’ve got a ‘63 Mark 2 that’s completely restored so I’ll be interested to watch this and see any differences.
Looking forward to the progress!
You have to love a coombes tricked up Jag, my Grandfather had an e type version which was great until he hit a barrier in it.
Hi Guys... Looking forward to this project. something needs to be done to those door mirrors. The racing jags had the bullet type...GN
Any more episodes please!

Eye watering information
I watched these video a year ago all 4 of them, what's happened to the car are you still working on it or have you scrapped it?
