He very well may be right about many things, but it’s important to remember he is first and foremost a Jew. This is a direct quote from his blog in 2022: “I'm a Jew. I enjoy being a Jew. OK, so we're not great at sports. But otherwise: we're the best. Everyone knows this, wh/is why they hate us.” When I asked him as a self-identifying Jew to define the word Jew, he first pointed me towards Nazi and Israeli conceptions of Jewish identity but when I pressed him for his own answer to the question he shut down the discussion and told me I was “too hung up” on the issue. That’s when I lost respect for this “truth seeker” 🤷♂️

The lower classes have always been giving technical or specialist instruction, while the ruling are giving a classical / liberal arts / generalist. Makes it very hard that way to even attempt to solve the problem from the bottom up, as people are particularly defensive, when their schema are threatened, especially when they are very narrow and built at the foundations on sand. It can be one of the most painful experience there is, and why such strong defense mechanisms are exhibited to avoid it.
If we look at river civilizations, esp Egypt, the reason I suspect they did so well, was because of the rich soils of the river basins, and were replenished with nutrients that floods brought. And yes, I came up with this theory before I ever even knew of Jared Diamond.
The reason his books are not useless is that they form a basis of a forum for us to meet and support each other in this strange land that is the USA. I want to move to Mexico, and then hit Argentina and possibly the Falkland Islands. It is like I want to get so far away but don't want to do this alone....
interesting comment. i've responded to a comment of yours in the past btw, hope youve been well i don't think he regrets leaving the US, I just think that while he was in the US, the culture had made him so anxious and depressed that any mention of the US brings up those past unpleasant feelings, which prompts him to respond angrily. I check out his blog as well, and although i've called him out for being a sucker for buying the "official" 9/11 story, he seems to be happy outside the US
I'd also add, that one reason that people were more literate in the past in America, was that unlike today, the basis of education was a classical education or liberal arts education, rather the two tier one we have today, if you even call most of it an education at all, instead of just indoctrination. It is why the home schooled likely do so much better, because it also is more in line with classical or a liberal arts education.
Believe it or not, there are people that are of the non-mainstream, what you would likely consider the right, that are just as concerned about the same things you are.

I discovered Morris Berman just after escaping the USA at age 55 and moving to Costa Rica. He confirms my own lifelong observations about US culture.
Dr. Berman is Amazing.. has the balls to say what everybody knows but is too cowardly to say.

@@tylerdavis520 you are correct about that.. in a way, i believe he can say what he said because he's jew-Ish.
I love Berman! He is exactly right; a great humanitarian and truth teller.

He was my History of Science teacher during the second year of my BA. He was brilliant and humane way back then too.

Great analysis
Absolutely. Food is a big one to (if not the biggest), in that it has been purposefully depleted from nutrients that is required for sound thought.
Culture is not static and can be changed as all phenomena are subject to change, even in the US.

Anyone know where I can find a transcript?

Morris Berman!
I'd argue that dehumanizing the enemy is not unique to America, the ptb have always used that tactic through history.
