What's wrong with being a Jesuit and a cardinal? There were several, Marini and Foster Dulles son, Avery Dulles who was raised from priest to cardinal. This cardinal is papabili for 3years after which he turns 80. Maybe they can get better presenters?

Why does a priest get jumped up to a Cardinal after been consecrated a bishop for plus minus two weeks?
It was not even plus minus two weeks. He was a bishop for a day. The next day he was created cardinal.
