Move.AI Unreal Engine 5.4 Motion Capture Short Film Using Custom Orc Metahumans - ENCOUNTER

- I was inspired by several asset packs found on the Unreal Engine marketplace, namely the Nanite Mangrove Forest from Meka Art and Modular Orcs from Polyphoria. The motion capture, or mocap, was done using Move.AI and the facial animation is all Metahuman Animator. Animation needed a bit of smoothing, but looks good enough. Could this be the beginning of an epic, untold Orc Story? Subscribe to find out...

this is better written than rings of power
🤣
Well done, I love the cinematography too
Absolutely fabulous! One question though: Orcs walking in broad daylight? ;)
Really well done!
Great camera work!
Thank you!
Bro we need tutorial,
1- where did u get the character and how did you make it that realistic?
2- how did motion capture those characters
3 your export, camera and remder settings
Orc characters are from the UE marketplace, made by Polyphoria. Mocap is Move.AI.
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal Did you have to bring a normal metahuman into blender or something then do a mesh transform? Would love a behind the scenes video explaining the process of custom metahumans
yo, love that, amazing work man
The knight is super cool !!
The next scene could be an arrow hitting the Orc's eye. Well done bro. Amazing
Awesome, bro)
So awesome.
hell yah!
Hi, I'm looking forward to your tutorial on rendering movies in sequence, thanks
Snaga and Grishnack
wow
Were you able to record animation without an Iphone or is that required to do this?
You need an iPhone 12 or newer to use Metahuman Animator
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal Ahhh that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for letting me know! Any idea what the pricing is like?
awesome work! how long did this take you from start to finish? And what did you use for the facial animation!?
Took maybe 16 hours total over the course of a weekend. Metahuman Animator is animating the face
Total days taken by the project and it's duration???
It was spread out over three days, but if you don't include the processing time of the animations (which was about 4 hours) the whole thing took about 1 hour for writing, 1 hour for camera setup, 30 mins for capturing, and probably 15 hours of Unreal and editing
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Is this all Lumen or pathtracing?
Lumen with hardware RTX on
how do you using the orc character for metahuman? metapipe?
Yep
Did you make these or buy them? How did you get them rigged to the Metahuman typology?
I bought all the assets, including the orcs. They already had some basic blendshapes and rigging in the face, but I hired someone on Upwork to do the Metapipe conversion
Hey man! Well doneindeed! Question I thought their face is not rigged? Am i mistaken? best Marco
They came with a little digging, but someone else did the conversion to Metahuman for me
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal Thank you! May I ask who did it? no worries its for a school project...
Can you tell me which rendering settings you use?
I used hardware raytracing
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal Yes, I noticed that. For better light, I see you've removed a few bushes. It's just that I don't get such a cinematic picture in cinematics as you do. I think here you need to look at the camera settings, anti-aliasing, cinematic filter. And please tell me, have you processed the video already in DaVinchi Resolve, after rendering?
bro please collab with SLOPAXO on a music video
thats why unreal engine is good for movie not for game
More context if you’re referring to the hyper realism aspect of the engine I’ll remind you Fortnite is a UE5 game, what’s irritating is that because anyone can learn it, it’s an easy tool and the visuals are excellent so it becomes easy to scam people as we’ve seen time and time again, but the engine itself does not determine what a game will look like as seen with Fortnite, it’s not a realistic game, nor does it determine gameplay, that’s up to the devs.
That’s a hot take
Lmao. False.
@@xdavis2919 althought houdini is a king unreal engine still dope
That's only mean you don't know how to make games
that TO BE CONTINUED font looks terrible in all caps.
