If it wasn't clear enough in the video, I'm extremely humbled by your support. Your kind words and interactions have especially encouraged me over the years. I've seen the comments and talked to many of you in person about it. I just wanted to share my art. What I never expected was how my art could inspire so many. It's really more than I can ask for. Thank you SerpaSquad for 10 years! Here's to the next 10 and beyond. I'm only just getting started and can't wait to show you what I've been working on.
Still watching, but you inspired me to make my own first Paludarium and i'm loving it for over 7months now! Everyone that comes into my house is always drawn to sitting on the stool i put in front of it!! ^^ Thanks for all the hard work and awesome video's
tanner this made me tear up, as someone going through the deepest depression right now your videos have always been a beacon of hope. you’ve revitalized my love of aquariums and nature and inspired me to make my own, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Thank you for a beautiful re cap video of your journey, been watching you since almost the beginning of your channel and can't wait to see what you do next. Enjoy some time off when you need it and thank you again :)
This channel feels so safe and welcoming. It’s one of the only channels I’ve found where it doesn’t seem like that animals and plants are just products to sell or display. Your love for this art form is contagious, and I seriously enjoy making terrariums as a hobby now :)))
I’ve noticed that too. The way he stets up his builds is always fitting for the animal and has a lot of enrichment. Other TH-camrs let they’re animals live in small plastic containers, which is just heartbreaking.
What I love about Tanner’s channel is at the center of his love for the craft is his love for the animals that live in the worlds he creates. Can’t wait to watch for many more years :)
I'm a full grown man and i swear i literally CRY at the wedding's terrarium watering. You are both so pure and passionate, incarning what humanity has as beauty. You are whitout doubt a real artist and even more because your art piece are living being and you want them even more living as they thrive. You literally create life itself.
You’re not a mere creator. You’re a muse. You’re a teacher. You’re a coach. You’re a facilitator. You’re a steward. You’re a friend to many seeking purpose beyond the material trappings of modern life. And that’s not an overstatement - inspiring people to connect with nature in ways that fulfill our souls is meaningful. You have planted a seed that has grown beyond anything you can probably appreciate. Congrats on an amazing 10…
Too true! Tanner, has inspired me so heavily and helped me find a passion I had no idea was inside me, and that's helped me in my life so much further than just in the single facet.
This might be the best comment I have read. I accidentally stumbled on Tanner about two weeks ago, wound up binge watching his videos and now I watch them for about an hour before bed.
@@aarongilson7137 yeah man - isn’t discovering a new amazing channel the best??? So many worlds open up. Say what you want about social media and all that toxic stuff, but TH-cam is one of my favorite things of alllllll time. So much new to explore.
Your channel and you have been my inspiration for several years. I am an avid gardener and animal keeper. I am a retired librarian, farmer, teacher and parent. I also am challenged by depression. I am approaching 80 and as my stamina and strength decline due to aging I have found terrariums to be my direction in gardening. Thank you for sharing your gifts, vision and taught us your skills. May you prosper and thrive with God’s blessings.
Wisdom from an older person: we carry all the persons and ages we've been with us always. I'm 70 but sometimes I feel inside like that young girl going camping with my Girl Scout troop, that teenage hippie chick, that scared brand new mother, the newly divorced woman living alone for the first time ever, the woman who traveled in an RV to find a new place to live, the woman who did good work and is now retired. I will carry all those girls and women with me forever and add them to the woman I will be as I age. So don't be surprised that you remember those experiences and lessons clearly, they are you! Thank you for sharing your journey, I enjoyed it, just as I enjoy all your project videos. I always appreciate the love you feel for your animals.
Hey . I'm writing from Kenya. Found your channel at my lowest moment in 2021. It was an ASMR video and I ended up watching the whole night. I still watch every week , never had the energy to make my own. Just wanted to say thank you. I don't feel so low anymore. Congratulations on the journey
You should make a dirt only terrarium and see what grows. It's so fast and easy and takes no effort. Just put dirt in a jar, add some water, close it up and watch stuff grow after a while. Use dirt from a garden or forest.
I've only been along for the ride for the past couple years, but it's safe to say your content is some of my favourite on youtube. You have this fantastic way of presenting everything, and your passion for what you do is very apparent. You just come across as very genuine. No forced jokes, just information given in such a calm, humble, wonderful manner. Thank you Tanner for all the work you're continuing to do! Here's to the next 10 years!
Man, Tanner is and continues to just be a straight up g. He's humble, down to earth, hard working, genuine and all around just one of the coolest guys so many of us love . He saw a vision and went with it. And he deserves every piece of recognition and appreciation he gets. Thank you
This is one of those videos that brings half your subs half way to tears because we realize we're all the same. Thanks for this one and well done. The editing must have taken forever.
I swear I'm not crying, happy tears all over myself. But really man, you've helped me, and I'm sure so many others with giving some direction, just by doing what you love and that's truly an amazing feat. I've always struggled in life my self with my upbringing, autism, and mental health issues. But this channel has given me an outlet. A reason to go to work and try my hardest. Thank you, Tanner. This video was an unexpected yet very pleasant look into your life, and inspiration. For as long as you make these videos, I'll be watching and showing people your channel. ❤
I agree with all of this. I have a similar story and Tanner's authenticity and honesty about his challenges got me through what felt like impossible parts of of the last few years.
You probably won’t understand how much this video inspired me… thank you soooo much for making me feel better.. I am 17 yo and IDK what to do with my life, watching this video made me realize I am not alone and I can do whatever I dream of, ofc after a lot of hard work.. Love your videos keep it up man ❤️
@@victorc4_1234 don't worry, 22 ain't it either aswell but god has a plan for everyone. Some people don't find their purpose until 60, 70 or even 80! Hang in there. Also I hope I don't congratulate too early but happy birthday!
I think you’ll find that a lot of us are extremely grateful to you for showing us, teaching us and letting us see your living art . You have most definitely inspired so many people . I absolutely love your content. It is humbling and refreshing . Thank you so much for what you do , Tanner 💚
It's mind blowing to watch this and realize how long I've been a viewer of this channel. I remembering finding SerpaDesign at around 100k subs. You've been a source of inspiration for me for so many years. I can't begin to count how many people I've recommended check you out, and watching you go so far with a passion I only wish I could follow is incredible. Thanks for allowing me to love vicariously through you for so long. Here's to the future!
Not every video has to be a spectacular project that takes up a lot of time and resources. I subscribed to your channel after seeing the original native terrarium video. Those small approachable projects are super interesting to watch, it attracts new people to the hobby and would probably free up your time to focus on the larger projects you want to do.
Totally agree. I love the big projects but my son watches these with me and he’d love to build something smaller (I’m not ready to give up the basement yet.)
That's how I found the channel. My son came into the house with a handful of moss and said "I want to build a terrarium." So we searched for a how-to and found Serpadesign.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying.” lol. Tanner, you gave me so much to think about. I’ve followed your channel since well before your wedding, and I think before you bought your first home. You’ve been such a blessing and joy to watch, spend time with, and learn from. Take that vacation, my friend. You’ve earned it. I can’t wait to see how your channel grows in the future.
please never stop pursuing youtube 😭😭 watching your videos is so calming and relaxing i think its an escape from reality for a lot of us, at least for me anyway. you've come so far from when you started and im sure we'll all continue to support you no matter what happens. thank you for starting this journey and taking us along with you
Your firebelly toad enclosures are my personal faves. Devoting that much to such an underrated species that for the longest time were considered 6 dollar throwaway pet store animals was and is still such an inspiration.
This video hit me where I live. I am completely in the same place you mention at the beginning, stuck in a hole of not knowing what to do or where to go, and I'm in my early 50's so it doesn't bode well. I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard and courage to keep going. I only found your channel last year after inheriting my son's 7 year old crested gecko and needing to do research on it providing the best care for her. We love her so much and she is just so intelligent and personable. Although our tank setup is nothing like the wonderous creations you have made, it is inspired by what you have done and is fully bio-active which she seems to love. The down side (according to my husband) is my new obsession with a tank fully dedicated to my growing isopods.😂
Whenever I feel down, I usually head to SerpaDesign and watch an aquascaping video that makes me feel good and inspired again. There are tons of aquascaping channels, but there is different about this channel.
I only started watching SerpaDesign a couple of years ago, and watching this video chronicling the channel's past and your personal struggles has been inspirational. I am always happy to see people follow their dreams, including the struggles to do so, and the result being them accomplishing it. This highlights what makes us human. Seeing you builds a terrarium is what started me subscribing to your channel, and seeing the creative ways you work your magic in your builds keeps me watching. I am happy for you (and your wife, even if she is behind the scene, she is part of the accomplishment), seeing you buying a new and bigger home, remodeling it to suit your needs, and things coming together for you. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
One of my favourite channels for sure, the passion tanner has for his craft and his animals is amazing. This channel is only going to grow bigger, and do you know what, the guy deserves it all, an insprational keeper of animals to be looked up to.
This is an incredible journey. I am so glad that everything worked out for you and you can just live your hobby and passion. You are such a great inspiration to me and so many others. I watched so many of your videos multiple times because they never get boring. Every week I look forward to a new video from you. Wishing you and your family all the best, you are doing a great job 😊
Love hearing how content creation was such an adventure and journey. Just because content is just now showing up in my feed doesn’t mean the channel or the creator is brand new, you’ve sacrificed and been at this for a decade. So grateful to see you express the talent God gave you 💕
I just wanted to say thank you for all the incredible ecosystems you build on your channel. Your attention to detail and dedication to creating beautiful and sustainable environments is truly inspiring. Your videos not only showcase your amazing creativity and talent, but they also educate us on the importance of taking care of our planet and its inhabitants. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into your builds and for sharing your passion with us. Your channel has brought me so much joy and I look forward to seeing what amazing project you'll tackle next!
I've dealt with depression for as long as I can remember as well. I can say your videos bring a smile. You sure know how to show the true beauty in your craft.
I'M NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING 😭 Watching your channel develop and grow has been a blessing, you've inspired my own art in so many ways. Although I will likely never have the stage presence for a fully fledged TH-cam presence of my own, I am super grateful for those who have guided me on my personal journey. Thank you for being here and thank you for all that you do, Tanner. Your work, your channel, and your overall positive influence changed my life for the better. Sending you the most positive wishes moving forward ❤
I seldom watch videos with 100% focus for more than 10 minutes but I watched this video in its entirety without skipping. The storytelling is very raw and that makes it endearing and inspirational. You just got a new subscriber. Looking forward to more of your videos - which I find very calming and soothing to watch.
Honestly, I had ZERO interest in terrariums/aquariums before stumbling across your channel. Now, I can’t walk outside without looking at nature and planning on how to build a new enclosure of some kind. Thank you for all the work and inspiration you provide.
hey Tanner, I just find this video absolutely beautiful and relatable. I feel like you're a good human being, and world's not full of that kind of people. You make living a better experience, there is no youtube channel that relaxes as your channel does. Life ain't easy, and it will never be, but you are an example of overcoming obstacles and doing what you love, noticing you're not alone and there's more people loving what you do. Cheers from Barcelona, we love you. Thanks for all your content and keep up the work. You deserve every drop of success you've had and you'll have.
I'm glad you made this video. For a lot of people, they wouldn't have known all the tribulations and sacrifices you have made for your success. Things don't just fall out of the sky, you have to work hard and push boundaries in order to make your dreams come true. You did exactly that and it's inspirational for all the little people like myself. Thank you for everything you've taught us.
I found your channel 4 years ago, and even though I don't have any aquariums or terrariums of my own I love seeing how you build yours. Your videos are always very calming and I can feel the love you have for what you do. Your dedication to art and animals is inspiring and I look forward to when you upload a new video. It's been a blast seeing you grow and can't wait to see where this channel goes in the future. I've really liked this format of video where you tell the story behind your different masterpieces. Everything has a story and you are a great narrator. Thanks Tanner for countless hours of joy!
Your videos have been an inspiration to both me and my girlfriend over the last few years. We made our first terrarium by following your how to terrarium guides and set up a planted aquarium for a school of tetra and her pet snails 2 years ago which was soon followed by a beta/cherry shrimp tank for me and a few other terrariums. Your pets are not just a novelty or decoration to you and you genuinely care and try to provide them the best possible life you can, that's special. Your animals are all lucky to have you and so are all the people that enjoy your content. So thank you Tanner.
Someone else said it already: your builds are centered around the animal's needs AND beautiful. So many creators just scape something for the artsy aspect and then drop animals inside to compliment their design (e. g. sparsly planted tanks and then drop a betta fish in - they need places to hide and hate bright light!). I love your creativity, your love and care for your animals, and I admire what you and your wife did overcome. Can't have been easy to work yourself to exhaustion! I'm glad you are able to balance your work/life now a little better. We love you and don't want to see you burnt out! :)
Tanner, your videos were pivotal in helping me get into the hobby and improving my knowledge and skills. Over the past month, your videos helped me build my own ikea glass shelving tank (a paludarium tank) which was the first time I've built my own tank! It became a carnivorous plant paludarium and now lives in the staffroom at work. Today's the first day back after the holidays and the first time my colleagues will see it in person, I can't wait for their reaction. I wouldn't be where I am today without your videos, you have pretty directly helped me add joy (for the hobby) and love (for my animals and scapes) to my life. Thank you!
TANNER BRUH!!! TEARS BRUH!!! I love this channel and you are the man behind the magic. Your work is most excellent and you have touched many lives in a positive way. You have more than earned the right to share your feelings about your journey and the struggles you faced to get to where you are now. MORE THAN EARNED, sir. This channel is a blessing and does massive credit to the TH-cam community.
What I like most is you have a low-key delivery of content, yet are passionate and knowledgeable. I just recently made my first terrarium and am learning which plants work and which don't. I needed another hobby for our long winters in Wisconsin. Also, I recently lost my twin sister, and the grief and depression were terrible. You are helping to lift me out of that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Finding passionate creators feels like a gem sometimes, but Tanner you are seriously one of the most dedicated, creative and passionate I've come across on YT. In all that you do, you inspire and entertain- we thank you for keeping it up despite your hardships. You deserve the world 🎉 thank YOU
Tanner, thank you for your honesty in your struggles, without falling into the "trauma p*rn" a lot of creators cultivate. Your simple tutorials on how to build terrariums for free, bringing nature indoors to people who are dealing with depression, mobility issues, etc, are life-changing. Thank you.
You've definitely inspired me to make my bioactive enclosures more realistic. Your builds are beautiful and truly inspiring. I cannot wait for what you come up with in the future. I can't believe it's been 10 years! Congratulations Tanner!
Thank you so much for doing these amazing terrariums and helping nature thrive. I hope your channel thrives even more, as you deserve all the love for what you do
I feel the need to tell you how much your channel has inspired me. I built my first and second closed terrariums based on your tutorials and builds. It’s the first time I’ve been able to keep non-aquatic plants. On top of that, your recent desktop waterfall build has inspired me to rebuild my 6 gallon tank for a waterfall! You of all people will understand how much I appreciate the therapy. Thank you for the inspiration. I hope to watch your builds for years so you can continue to challenge my creative side.
Without this channel, I wouldn't have my aquarium and day gecko terrarium. It might not seem like much, but sharing my space with those animals and being able to house them in their own little pieces of nature, really helps me take time to breathe deep. Thank you!
Thanks Tanner. I found your channel when I was working and pursuing an MBA during Covid, so life was pretty hectic, lonely, and stressful. Your channel was a great escape to some genuine art and connection to nature. To echo what you mentioned in the video, you have done a great job. I’m glad you have the chance to share your passion, and that I’m able to follow along. Congrats on 10 years!
So proud of you and your craft; you inspire so many people, including myself. Thank you for loving nature & art and for allowing us to see them combined together.
I could record a 26 minute long video thanking you for this video and your effort. But i´ll try and keep it short. Thank you for opening up, sharing your adventures and being vulnerable. For talking about the stuff behind the glamour on our screens, sharing about mental struggles and trying to spread a positive vibe. Thank you.
You're a testament to hard work and perseverance! Not to mention gifted with creativity. It's really amazing to hear your story and see the success that you've earned. We're all rooting for you in a big way!
I found your channel in 2020. Seeing how you started and never gave up is very inspiring. I’m in a rut. I got everything I needed to start my own business but am terrified to advertise it. I don’t know exactly why. Fear of failure? Being shy? Thinking people will think I’m nuts? Imposter syndrome?? Anyway, your journey to where you are now is very inspiring. I’m not a spring chicken anymore and still struggle reaching my full potential due to fear self doubt. You did the damn thing!! Keep going! Keeps inspiring!! You are a perfect example that if you work hard and believe in yourself success will come!! Thank you for everything you do! Now it’s time for me to dig deep and launch my business.
I subscribed to you about 7 years ago now (I think) and have watched nearly every video including your painting ones. Dude, you have always done such a good job and please don't underestimate your influence! You were literally known as THE moss guy and greatly influenced the popularity of moss and terrariums. Hearing you tell your story is amazing and it's clear God blessed you with this opportunity. You followed the right path and positively affected all your viewers, I've had so many long days and bad periods in my life and watching your videos gave me rest stops and helped me get through those tough times. Can't believe it's been 10 years now, congratulations and I wish you all the best. Thank you for being you and I will always be a subscriber
You keep on inspiring me as I 've just made two more terraria one for Selaginella erythropus & another for S. serpens and two actinopteris. I've run out of big glass containers now ! LOL Maybe I'll actually have to go and buy a terrarium next time. :-) My first bottle garden has been a great succes with Selaginella uncinata that has shown its beautiful blue much better in this container. The fern & the tiny peperomia have also enjoyed the bottle. Thanks for inspiring us all !!
I really enjoy seeing snippets of what goes on behind the scenes because it really does show, that no ones life is in any way perfect. This video was more than just a story of your channel but it shared a way to look at life. Work hard, have hope, and enjoy every day that comes along. I think part of the reason that your videos are so amazing is that you don't try to emphasize anything, you let the videos speak for themselves. You present us with mind-blowing camera shots, fascinating designs, and tie each video together with a simple, yet impactful narration. You are the only youtuber that I can watch video after video without ever getting bored. I have been subscribed for a long time now, and have never got tired watching your content. Thanks so much for all the videos you have made and will continue to make!
Protect this man at all costs, your channel has helped spark my motivation to finally start making my own terrariums. Before I was always intimidated by other videos I saw on making them for beginners but you really inspired me as well as my brother to finally pursue this amazing hobby!
I've only gotten back to aquariums/terrariums/aquascaping for almost 2 years now and I always look to you for inspiration and fun videos. And, after seeing how hard you have worked, I gotta hand it to you...Wow! But I have to say, your wife is also the hero in this story, standing by you and supporting you when you worked 80 hrs. a week and had no recreational life. She must be the best! Blessings always to you both!
Hey, Tanner! I know this was uploaded a month ago, but I'm just now watching it (at 12:40 in the morning lol) and it's really touching. Hearing your story makes me feel both incredibly proud of you, and somewhat small in the light of your achievements. Thanks to you I began making my own terrariums and growing succulents after COVID hit (most failed, but that's my fault). Thanks to you, I set up my 10 gallon aquarium at the end of last June, which has been equally a cure and an aggressor for my depression - at one point I lost almost twenty fish and all my shrimp, over the course of months, to a systemic bacterial infection. That happened while my grandma suddenly became ill, and a month later when she passed away, from Stage IV cancer... you can imagine my distress. But now it's in a place that is much better. I have a lovely betta named Feldspar, a school of glowlight tetras, a school of Venezuelan pygmy corys and a bunch of inverts. The tank has so many plants in it that algae barely grows anymore, and despite a few deaths (mainly among my shrimp), things are looking up. It'll be a year in exactly one month. Looking forward to it. Anyway, this is long. All of that is to say - thank you, so much, for everything you do. I might have never entered my favorite hobby if it wasn't for your videos, your relaxing and informative delivery, your animal rooms and scapes. You are a professional, one of the best I know of, but beyond that you're an amazing human being. (Also, you talked about trusting in God a few times. Don't know if this applies, but I'm religious myself - Jehovah's Witness - and was baptized in March. Surely you know already, but I'm sure he answered your prayers. I've been recommending your channel to friends in my congregation, too. Sending you love!)
This channel has been, and continues to be, such a huge inspiration for myself and many friends I have who share the same interests! I finally got a job this January at a local aquarium store, and have been excited to start many more projects. Maybe even a channel of my own one day. Showing the journey and growth you've worked so hard for is an incredibly positive influence on beginners in the hobby, and provides a lot of hope for those of use struggling or just starting out. Thank you for being a leader in the world of art and education, and for having the courage to share the high and low parts of what your path has had to offer
This video is an absolute gem! I have been watching your videos since your 4k animal room tour, it's so cool to see how far you've come :]. I look forward to your videos every weekend and I have taken so much inspiration from both your story and builds. I am happy that you've been so successful with your hobby and your channel. Keep going Tanner!
congratulations serpa, you are the most kind spoken and kind hearted person on this platform. stay healty and going man, much love for the best animal channel on this platform
I made my first bioactive vivarium for my snake because of your channel. He loves it! I'm currently working hard on my passion, so your journey is incredibly inspiring to me. I'm so glad you answered the call! Definitely take some time off, you've earned it.
You're one of a handful of successful youtubers who've stayed yourself throughout your growth. It really is refreshing to see. Thanks for that and the years of entertainment and motivation.
Hey man I’ve been a subscriber since the very beginning of your stuff and I have to say that you have been a huge influence in my own bio active terrarium journey. As a person in my age group I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in your experiences and struggles. It’s hard for our generation but one thing we all have is that drive, passion and perseverance even if no one else sees it. I’m so happy for you and I hope you continue to do what you love!
Tanner, what always comes across in your videos is what a truly nice bloke you are, and it is clear how much you appreciate the Serpa Squad. What always comes through is your love of nature, design, plants and wildlife, the huge thought, planning, and effort you put into every build, as well as your passion for what you do. You are an inspiration, and I have learnt so much from watching your videos. Having said all of that, personally, I would much rather wait longer for your excellent videos, knowing that you have a better work/life balance, than have frequent videos pop up, but worrying about you and everything behind the scenes. Thank you so much for all that you have done of the past 10 years, and here's to sharing many, many more years with you! xxxx
min 23:17 "it should never be underestimated how the simplest kind acts can have a positive impact on someone`s life." Tanner 2023... . Great video, wondering obout your future proyects. Grettings from CDMX
I stumbled across your channel years ago from one of your terrarium builds. I’ve been lurking and watching your channel grow ever since. This video was touching and very inspiring. You are a creator with love and the beauty of art at the centre, and to maintain that and fight for that throughout these ten years just shows how impressive you are as a person. Thank you for reminding us all that with dedication, hard work, and a mission to inspire and spread love through our passion, we can make any dream come true! Excelsior to another 10 years!
Thank you so much for sharing this, Tanner :) I'm in that place you mentioned where everything seems to be going wrong. I'm a college student looking for somewhere to live and nothing is coming up. I don't have contact with my family at all and am legally homeless. It's pretty discouraging but seeing you push through and acknowledge that you have had some really rough times helps me a lot. Hearing you go through your journey and provide such joy and wonder to people like me makes me feel so seen. Depression isn't just a phase, it's something I've been dealing with for over a decade now and it can be hell. You are so strong for making it through with us. Please know your videos are a comfort place for me when I don't always have that physically. Thank you Tanner and I really hope the 10 year anniversary treats you well. :)
I really enjoyed this walk down memory lane. The compassion and responsibility you demonstrate for your animals is one of my favorite things about your channel. God bless.
This made me feel very melancholy. It’s fantastic to see someone doing so well and knowing what they’re supposed to be doing with their life, and being rewarded for that. Especially as someone who also battles depression, seeing others who have beat the loneliness and have found a way forward always makes me glad. I just wish I had the same certainty. I’ve spent the last ten years wasting away to a shell of what I used to be. Every day is a horrible grind of pain and loneliness and unfulfilling experiences. I focused on all the wrong things and used what time I did have incorrectly, giving away to other people but never for myself. I don’t want to make you feel bad or anything, it just makes me think. And I’m sincerely happy that you’ve come so far. I remember watching your first videos and they really helped me get into terrariums and plants when I was just looking for a peaceful hobby somewhat associated with the aquariums I used to love but could no longer keep. Without your videos I wouldn’t have had a clue where to even start! And I’ve watched every single video since then. You’re a big inspiration and the universe obviously knew we needed you and gave you a sign to stick with it. And now you’re here.
Thanks for posting this. I'm on this "finding your path" journey right now as I'm almost turning 40 and your channel has been an incredible source of relief and inspiration, so much that I started building my own terrariums. And as I view this episode it's truly heartwarming to know that someone I look up to has been on this crossroads before and definitely found a way. Thanks for the motivation to keep moving forward.
Thank you so much for dedicating so much to this channel. It's been a source of entertainment and inspiration to me. I built a terrarium and planted aquarium thanks to your influence.
Honestly, I found your channel much earlier but didn't subscribe and start binge watching your content until I was up late at night later into my pregnancy and I wanted to feel comforted. Your channel feels like a safe place, it's not an easy thing to cultivate. Thank you for the work that you do and your passion to your craft. You're inspiring
Your designs have inspired multiple of my own animal habitats--they are thriving in beautiful environments, and I truly couldn't have done it without your amazing projects as my inspiration. 💞Thank you, Tanner!!
Tanner I’ve been watching you for years & you are by far the best & MY FAVORITE aquascaper/fish/animal keeper on TH-cam. There are a lot nowadays and you can easily tell the ones who have passion and the ones who just do it for views/clout. I can’t stand when you can clearly tell when they don’t care about the animals, only clickbait and views. You make the most incredible builds and are so creative. It’s crazy to see what all you were going through through all of the stages of your channel and never once could I have been able to tell. You always still brought quality content and it’s super-human IMO! Love your channel and will be following for many more years hopefully!! Thanks so much for all you do!
You helped me jump-start my love for terrariums a few years ago and they are all still going strong. Your creativity is very inspiring and I can reassure you that all the dedication and sacrifices that made this channel happen have paid off in ways you don't even know. Keep doing you and we'll all be just fine man!
I literally cried watching this. I have been following you for YEARS, and just like you I've been down many times over the years. Your channel provides so much comfort and peace for me, and we can tell that it does the same for you. Love your content- SO proud of you!! Thanks for giving us subscribers a place of refuge to escape the stresses of our daily lives :)
Tanner, Man your channel and your personal growth has blown me away. I was an RA at OU back in 2017 when your channel was really starting to jump and I did a terrarium event for my residents. I used your How to Terrarium videos to guide me to make them. I loved watching your videos and thinking encapsulating nature was so simple. I have done quite a few mason jar terrariums since then and most have done okay. I am eager to expand to a fish tank when I buy a house finally. You are doing a wonderful thing, I love what you do. I am glad you have found this calling. Keep doing what you love. You are great at it. I admire your respect and love for nature. Keep it up and all the best -Zach
Thank you for putting your heart and soul into creating living art that resonates with so many people. Your videos have helped me get through some really difficult times in my own life, and now I'm making terrariums of my own. I've never been any good at keeping plants alive, but the terrariums are thriving. Thank you for giving me a way to connect my love of art with my love of living things. It's good to hear you're going to prioritize a good work-life balance going forward. Excited to see what the future holds! Thank you again for all you do.
What a journey! This channel has been such a "happy place" for so many people, and it's been incredible watching it go from strength to strength. Thank you for showing us a glimpse behind the scenes :)
Thank you so much for your amazing videos and for the valuable efforts . I am from Sri Lanka and in our country Paludarium and Terrarium hobby was not very famous but your superb videos gave us a great inspiration. Aquarium hobbyists are increasing now in our country and creative youtubers like you gave them a kickstart. All the best & Good luck for your future goals.
You should be proud of what you have accomplished in the 10 yrs you have been doing this. Thank you for all the beauty you bring into our live and for keeping me sane during lock-down.
Congratulations Serpa Design, I started following you about three years ago and your content has been inspiring and relaxing. You have grown so much and i am proud to see how far you've come! Don't give up and keep growing!
if anyone deserves it it's you, tanner. been a fan since 100k and im honoured to have watched you grow and earn all the amazing things you've been gifted with. here's to another decade full of art, animals, and nature!
You are not just sharing Your Journey but all the experience in a nut shell. Beside Your scaping, there is so much to learn about life in this video. I've been following You for a couple of Years and You are the reason I've started to develop hobbies like building the Aquarium, Terrarium and now I'm about to start the Kitchen Garden too. All I want to say is Thank You for introducing us with this kind of Nature side and teaching and guiding us to build these beautiful Master Pieces... Thanks Again, Jazak Allah...
I have to say, out of the many people I watch regularly your channel is probably my favourite. I love how genuine and passionate you are about what you do and I always look forward to each next video you make. This channel is also more meaningful to me than many because it was watching your videos that got me into the terrarium hobby... I randomly happened across the tabletop stacked slate waterfall video while going through TH-cam one time and it immediately captured my interest, plants have been a big hobby of mine ever since. Thank you for the inspiration and making such great content, I can't wait to see what you make in the future. God bless!
I have watched only a few videos of yours in the past, but the last day or so I've been going through more of them and have been so charmed by your humble and friendly energy. This video hit me surprisingly deep. You put a strong positive energy out there and I'm glad it's being returned to you. Keep going strong. And thanks!
You are a special man Tanner . If only everyone was like you. A true inspiration. Wishing you and your wife every happiness for the future . Thank you for helping me through bad times 💚
You're my favorite art and terrarium channel! You are awesome! We all hope through struggles, but I really admire your persistent nature and tenacity! Keep doing what you love and THANK YOU for the content!
Wow. Ten years. I discovered your channel in 2017 i think and i was immediately hooked. Nature, Art and careful craft come together in your projects. You never went complacent or too flashy with it, because you are always mindful that other creature are living in those enclosures. This is what i think is the most important point of this. Those projects ae there for animals. You care for them and you take this seriously. I admire that. I wish you all the best and i will continue to stop by on a regular basis.
I'm glad you didn't give up even when taking breaks to deal with the things you had to deal with. Love your work and always enjoy seeing your new builds, whether they're simple and satisfying or unique and flashy. I'm glad you're here on TH-cam doing your thing!
I don't have any fish tank, terrarium etc. I don't want one. But I am a creative person and I absolutely love how you bring nature to live and I love watching your videos because of the passion you show for your craft. That's what keeps me coming back to your channel. And this video was very inspiring. Thank you for your dedication. Good job - well done!
I have always really liked your channel. I didn't have any idea that you had been going through so much.Over the past few years I lost family members and my best friend and then we did the covid thing and everyone was sick and I had it twice. It was bad and just as things were starting to get better I had a nephew pass away. It hit me differently than other times because he was so young and he was a good guy with his whole life ahead of him. Watching your videos has helped me to take my mind off of everything for a while. I have also built a couple terrariums and grown all my own plants from cuttings. Thanks for the video.
I stumbled upon your channel a day or so ago. I can’t believe the depth and breadth of your talent and knowledge. Your story of perseverance is inspiring. Thank you for your love of plants, animals, an yes water, which seems to be the underlying theme. I wish you an your family the best!
@@Himmel-Himmel You're gonna get through this!
TANNER! You made me cry!! 🙏so much love!
Why did this comment make me emotional
Yep.
Glad I’m not the only one 😢 it’s so precious seeing couples have that one things that captures their love for each other
You’re not a mere creator.
You’re damn right
This 🙏 the impact of inspiring others to connect with nature can't be measured or quantified. It is so so SO valuable
Would love to see some of your terrariums!
I think SerpaDesign has a huge impact on terrarium designs and probably even the whole industry.
Im from Brasil and Serpadesign inspired me a lot, so gratefull.
He is often referenced by others on TH-cam. We are watching and learning.
❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Felicia, I am so glad you found this channel and that it brings you a little bit of Peace. I hope things are continue to improve for you ❤️☀️
❤️
Thank you
Absolutely!!
I don't know if Tanner knows this but his videos are really good for people (like me) that live with Autism/Asperger's and depression.
You probably won’t understand how much this video inspired me… thank you soooo much for making me feel better.. I am 17 yo and IDK what to do with my life, watching this video made me realize I am not alone and I can do whatever I dream of, ofc after a lot of hard work.. Love your videos keep it up man ❤️
I’m turning 20 in a month and I don’t know either 🥺 I’m scared but tanner reassured me too
@@victorc4_1234 don't worry, 22 ain't it either aswell but god has a plan for everyone. Some people don't find their purpose until 60, 70 or even 80! Hang in there.
Also I hope I don't congratulate too early but happy birthday!
@@farbener5359 thank you ❤️ sending love
I agree, I actually find it somehow more interesting sometimes to see a full ecosystem in such a small place.
That's how I found the channel. My son came into the house with a handful of moss and said "I want to build a terrarium." So we searched for a how-to and found Serpadesign.
@@dominoot2652 Me too, small is great.
I would love❤️a tank dedicated to isopods! Get ur self some isopods ( & while ur at it- get ur self a new hubby !
Charlie - get ur isopods. That would be cool. While ur @ it, get urself a new husband!
@@berthaday3473 Why do you say something cold and completely insensitive things like “get yourself a new husband”?!
@berthaday3473 I already have the tank, its got many isopods all breeding and living together quite happily.
@@Kenny-yl9pc bless you, thanks 😊
I couldn't say it better👍🌿🪴🐸👍
The work life balance is HUGE and all us here waiting will be clicking every time you post. Congratulations on 10 years 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your videos have been an inspiration to both me and my girlfriend over the last few years.
One of the most genuine channels on YT I never built a Terrarium, but I feel like having one as an homage to this this channel's good vibes.
Brother keep your content coming seriously you don’t know how many people you impact or impacted thru your journeys ! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
LOL
Maybe I'll actually have to go and buy a terrarium next time. :-)
My first bottle garden has been a great succes with Selaginella uncinata that has shown its beautiful blue much better in this container.
Thanks so much for all the videos you have made and will continue to make!
this hobby isnt easy, and to get there where you are is really hard, but its worth it.

Protect this man at all costs, your channel has helped spark my motivation to finally start making my own terrariums. Before I was always intimidated by other videos I saw on making them for beginners but you really inspired me as well as my brother to finally pursue this amazing hobby!
List of people who love and appreciate SerpaDesign and hope his TH-cam channel never stops growing. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Respect. You are defenetly one of the few peoples that made the hobby to that what it is now. Thank you for entertaining and inspire us
Tanner I’ve been watching you for years & you are by far the best & MY FAVORITE aquascaper/fish/animal keeper on TH-cam.
Been following you for many years now Tanner, your channel is truly inspiring to all of us. As I always say, I can't wait for what the future holds!
Tanner,
Man your channel and your personal growth has blown me away.
Keep it up and all the best
-Zach
Thank you for putting your heart and soul into creating living art that resonates with so many people. Your videos have helped me get through some really difficult times in my own life, and now I'm making terrariums of my own. I've never been any good at keeping plants alive, but the terrariums are thriving. Thank you for giving me a way to connect my love of art with my love of living things. It's good to hear you're going to prioritize a good work-life balance going forward. Excited to see what the future holds! Thank you again for all you do.
Seriously one of like 2 or 3 TH-camrs I will watch every single video from! Keep up the good work man! God bless!
