Not exactly. The FBI is under the Executive Branch of government, which means the President is the boss. This means that 45 is well within is right to fire him. However, he needs to justify it and this is a poor justification for firing Comey. It makes 45 look completely shady since most intelligent US citizens are aware that the FBI currently still has an ongoing investigation into 45's tie to Russia.

She refused to do what the President said to do even though it was lawful under Article 2 of the US Constitution and 8 USC 1182. This is the pinnacle of presidential power. Foreign people do not have rights under the US Constitution, even those with green cards. Sally Yates is trying to argue that they do.
This all started when the university in Washington state challenged the first travel ban. This was because a few students and one teacher, none of them US citizens, were stuck overseas. Well, then, the university needs to do without a few students and a teacher. The safety of 330 million Americans is more important. Judge Robart should be ashamed, but leftists have no shame.
Then Trump took the feedback from the 9th circuit into account and put a 2nd travel ban in place. The day before it was to go into effect the judge in Hawaii put a hold on it. Once the 9th circuit signed off on it the lower court in Hawaii shouldn't have a say. The judge in Hawaii argued that it would harm the Hawaiian tourism industry. Again, the safety of 330 million Americans is more important than the Hawaiian tourism industry. How many Somalis vacation in Hawaii anyway?
If this same bunch had been in power in the 1940s we wouldn't have been able to prevent Japanese and Germans from entering our nation because they wanted to go to UCLA or surf in Hawaii. Insane.
