@MANCHESTER UNITED There's not even 240 countries, idiot There are 195 countries in the world today. And why are you on a video respecting the baseball greats, you loser? Soccer sucks, it's only popular because it's easy to find something to kick around. The sport itself is boring as hell and full of crybabies.

    • @aleji0

They say if Jeter played in KC, he'd be a nobody. If Helton played in the Bronx he'd be on a fucking postage stamp. I'm a Colorado fan since going to the first ever home game in '93. Helton was an absolute monster player and the fact that he stayed loyal to the Rox is why he is easily forgotten by coastal fans.

Barry’s last hit would’ve been a HR in about 80% of other baseball ballparks.
What a shame. After years of defying the dimensions of the Huge Park... it finally got him in the end.
Even more ironic when you think that the dimensions of the park helped shape the dominant pitching staff that finally won us the World Series’s that eluded Barry during his career.

There isn't one person that could convince me the Orioles pitcher didn't give that moment to Jeter by lobbing a meatball down the middle so his last at bat can be a walk off. It ruins the authenticity of something like that being a big moment in the last at bat for a big player, but I can see it as respect the pitcher was showing him.

That was not Tony Gwynn's final at bat, this was his last hit. His final at bat came a day later, in the final game of the season, he grounded out to shortstop on the 1st pitch of the at bat. On that same day, Rickey Henderson got his 3,000th hit.
I was there at Qualcomm Stadium for that game.
