Live at Agora Stage - Musikmesse Frankfurt Germany March 22 2012 for Laney Amplification
Sorry for the sound quality. The guitar sound comes from the video camera. Due to the power problem on the stage, My BOSS BR-80 recorder was reset and it can not record while I'm playing. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

เก่งมากๆครับคุณ Jack ผมก็ขาโจ๋ร็อคมากว่า35 ปีแล้ว ดูคอนเสิร์ตที่ต่างประเทศมาก็มาก แต่ไม่เคยดูใครเล่นกีต้าร์แล้วทำให้ผมซึ้งใจลงไปลึกๆได้เท่าคุณเลย ....ขอบคุณครับที่อุตส่าห์ฝึกฝนฝีมือ แล้วทำให้คนไทยภูมิใจได้มากขนาดนี้

Rui Calado It's quite funny if you think about it. Jack isn't nearly as famous as the names as Satriani and Vai. But if someone tells me that Jack is the best in the world, I wouldn't be surprised. I thought about it a few days ago, I was telling myself "you know, Jack is actually probably the best guitarist in the world right now".
Seriously though, Jack has the technique and emotion. Satriani has the technique, but in a lot of songs the emotion is lacking. I do really fucking love his songs, and can listen all day long to Satriani, as well as to Jack. Satriani has the emotion, but it's often in a different way, and in a lot of songs it's hard to feel. If you know what I mean.
Vai though, he just technique. Sorry if you love him, but I don't "feel" anything if I listen to him. I love a few songs, but it's not like I can listen all day long to him.

Bertram Hilhorst for me it’s all about the composition. All three have technique but it all has to serve the song. Out of the three jacks songs have been really touching me lately you can’t help but sound great with those nice chord progressions and modulations.

เมืองไทยผมชอบนักกีตาร์อยู่สองคน คือ โอฬาร พรหมใจ ดิโอฬารโปรเจค และ อาจารย์สมบัติ แก้วทิตย์ วงดอนผีบิน สองคนนี้เริ่มหนีจากการใช้นักร้องในเพลงที่พวกเขาเล่น มาออกเพลงแนวบรรเลง พวกที่เล่นกีตาร์จนสามารถเอาความรู้สึกผ่านปลายนิ้วมือลงสู่สายกีตาร์ได้ก็จะเริ่มแต่งเพลงบรรเลงกัน ให้เสียงกีตาร์แทนความรู้สึกของพวกเขา แต่ก็ยังเป็นดนตรีแบบจัดตั้ง คือ ฝึกในห้องซ้อมจนชินในเพลงนั้นๆแล้ว เอามาเล่นให้ผู้ชมฟัง เล่นจนถึงขีดสุด พวกนี้จะออกแนว Improvise แบบสวยงามในตัวโน๊ตที่เรียงรายกันออกมา นี่คือสุดยอดของนักกีตาร์แล้ว
แจ๊ค ธรรมรันต์ นี่ ผมชอบเขาน่ะ เป็นเด็กรุ่นใหม่ที่อนาคตไกลมาก ฝีมือดีมากสำเนียงดี เขาเล่นแนวบรรเลงได้ดีมาก เขาเป็นคลื่นลูกใหม่ที่ไปเล่นในต่างชาติแบบไม่อายใครจริงๆ...

Great feeling and great sound
This guy is just amazing! I just found out about him today and I can't stop watching his videos, his playing is addictive. I'm a fan of Jason Becker, Petrucci, Friedman and other great players, but I gotta add Jack Thammarat in with the others, they're in the same league and this says volumes!

เค้าเก่งเพราะฝึกครับ อย่ายัดเยียดเหตุผลในการเก่งให้
เข้าใจอะไรผิดหรือเปล่าครับ คนไทยไม่ใช่เหตุผลในการเก่ง และไม่มีใคยัดเยียดให้ แต่เราภูมิใจที่คนเก่งเป็นคนไทยคนหนึ่ง เวลาอาจารย์ไปแข่งผมเชื่อว่าอาจารย์ภูมิใจว่าเขาคือตัวแทนของคนไทยและประเทศไทย ไม่อย่างนั้นเขาไม่กลับมาสอนมาอยู่ในไทยหรอกครับ

ผมดูคลิปของ อ.แจ๊ค มาหลายคลิปแล้วครับ ผมว่าจุดเด่นของ อ.แจ๊ค คือ การเล่นที่สะอาด เมโลดี้ที่สวยงามและมีการเปลี่ยนคีย์ทำนองเพลงดูเป็นเอกลักษณ์ดี สำหรับผมผมว่ามันเพราะมาก เลยครับ

มาถึงจุดนี้ได้ยังไง จุดที่ประเทศไทยมี Guitar Hero คนไทย ที่ฝรั่งยังต้องทึ่งในฝีมือและงานดนตรี
ไม่ใช่แค่ แจ๊ค แต่ยังมีคนเก่งที่นักฟังเพลงตะวันตกรู้จักเป็นอย่างดีเช่น ป๊อบ วรวิทย์, หนึ่ง วินัย

ผมว่าสิ่งที่อ.แจ็คมีแต่มือกีตาร์เก่งๆในไทยยังขาดอยู่คือส่วนของภาคการนำเสนอและการนำไปใช้ ต้องยอมรับว่าตรงจุดนี้ผมว่า อ.แจ็คทำได้ดีมากๆผมว่ามือกีตาร์หลายคนในบ้านเรา ทักษะและเทคนิคดีมาก(อาจเหนือกว่าฝรั่งด้วยซ้ำ)แต่มันจะมีประโยชน์อะไรถ้านำไปใช้ไม่เป็น อีกอย่างนึงที่ได้ยินบ่อยคือ เพราะเราเกิดในเมืองไทยเลยไม่ดัง สิ่งที่อ.แจ็คได้พิสูจน์ ทำให้เห็นว่าเชื้อชาติไม่ใช่ข้อจำกัดถ้าเราเก่งจิง

ดนตรีอยู่ที่ความไพเราะ ไม่ใช่อยู่ที่เทคนิคเป็นสำคัญ ถ้ามีแต่เทคนิคแพรวพราว แต่ความไพเราะไม่มี มันก็เท่านั้น อ.แจีคนี่แหละ ตอบโจทย์เน้นความไพเราะได้ดีมาก ไม่ใฃ่โชว์แต่เทคนิค
บ้านเราส่วนมากยังก้ามข้ามความคิดนี้ไม่ค่อยได้ คือถ้าจะเก่งต้องเร็ว เทคนิคต้องเยอะ เราเลยไปในระดับสากลไม่ได้
