I cant play guitar and bought 1 of these strats,, makes my 57 Reissue thats never been played since i bought it in 1999 look like a waste on money,These FGM guitars are a beautifull thing,,,,, i will learn now. This is inspirational.
This is one of my favorite songs by him, on the way was the first song I heard by jack. Then his cover of cry for you by Andy timmons blew me away. But this song makes me feel like I'm flying and also in a battle in an rpg game like final fantasy. His style is so unique and original, melodic, smooth, hypnotic, the list goes on. Big fan from NJ in america since 2010!
He uses his 2nd and 3rd fingers to add extra alternate picking notes for speed, and does so with a fingernail so it sounds like a pick with all the attack noise of a pick. I have never seen that before. Not like this. It works amazingly well. ...in his hands anyway. For people who are fingernail challenged, it is a bitter pill to swallow. The only thing they have to combat that with is pull offs and that is good, but it ain't the same as this. This is much better. It is an amazing trick that all players should strive for, even the fingernailless.
