- AU explanation (Warning: possible misspellings.) (Shen Yuan) So in this AU, SY is not a transmigrator. "Shen Yuan" is also not his name. In this AU "Shen Yuan" goes by the name Si Tiāné.(Tiāné is Swan in Chinese.) And as it said in the video SQQ(SJ) is a fox demon while SY is like a swan spirit? The background in the video is the forest that SY guards, so practically he's like a forest guardian? Guardian of the forest? Lake? Also, SY is stuck in the forest and can't, or not allowed, to get out of the forest. SY spends most of his time in the forest lake sometimes in swan form, sometimes in the form you saw in the video (which is his usual form, and instead of arms he has wings instead.), or his human form. And since he's kinda like a diety? Guardian? He is strong. (Shen Qingqiu(Shen Jiu)) SQQ is a nine-tailed fox demon that, by coincidence stepped foot into SY's forest. Since he is a nine-tailed fox demon, and since fox demons' tails grow with their power (if you get what I mean.) He is also known to be a powerful demon lord and is respected but also feared from his kind. A fox demon has the ability to seduce their prey to lure them in, kind of like an ability of a succubus it incubus, but SQQ has never used it before for reasons. In this AU SQQ or SJ wasn't a slave instead a young master from a very toxic household. Originally, as the 7th young master and son, he wasn't going to become a demon lord but one day he snapped and just killed his entire "family" only letting a few or the servants go alive. (Story) SQQ or SJ didn't really like to travel far but he had heard some interesting things from the sucubuses and it has left him curious enough to go check it out himself. "A peerless beauty with long white silk-like hair that guards an enchanted forest" they'd told them. SQQ wasn't really interested in the "peerless beauty" part, what interested him was the so called "enchanted forest". It was but a story, probably wasn't true either, but it left him so intreast and curious for some reason that he just had to come see if it was true or not. He made his way up the mountain path, his ears flicking. Though he had come willingly the path was still long and it was making him slightly impatient. (A little time skip, he made it up. 😃) The forest was breath-takingly beautiful, it was like an artists' dream canvas. If it were an artist who had came here they for sure would start painting such a scape without hesitation, but alas SQQ wasn't a artist. After enjoying the view SQQ continued on his way his nine tails swishing in delight. SQQ took slow steps studying his surroundings when he heard water splashing. Curious he made his way towards where he had heard the water and stopped behind a bush. Now he doesn't usually sneak up and peak at things, but this was a "enchanted forest" that was rich with spiritual energy. And though he may be a powerful demon, he cultivated with demonic energy not spiritually, with how much spiritual energy was here, if he were to get into a fight with a particularly strong beast of sorts then he might have lost. Afterall it was like a spiritual cultivator being stuck in the demon realm where there was no spiritual energy. Quietly, he reached his hands to push some of the bush leaves away so he could take a better look. What he saw made his breathe hitch and his ears flicked at the sight. There he saw a person, no a goddess perhaps, but the being was obviously a male. He had long white hair that reached his feet and he adorned white robes with some silver shoes and a few accessories. But that was not what grabbed SQQ's attention, 'wings', he noted. Instead of arms and hands there were wings, white, big beautiful wings. As SQQ continued to stare he found out that the being was dancing? It was a beautiful dance, one of the most elegant ones SQQ had ever seen. SQQ unconsciously gripped his fan tighter. Distracted, SQQ did not realize when he had taken a few more steps closer and their eyes met. the figure startled and stared at SQQ looking shocked. It took awhile for them to come back to their sences. "Who are you." They took a cautious stance. (time skip, I'm becoming lazyyyy) SQQ and STE(SY) as he came to know the others name got along pretty quickly and SQQ would find himself visiting the other whenever he could. STE(SY) was soft, he was too kind for his own good, he was diffrent, diffrent from the other demons SQQ has met or the humans that he'd seen over the years. And before he knew it he had already fallen for the other. (and yalleh yalleh yalleh, they fall in love, plot happens, shares their first kiss, does some fruity makeout sessions, plot plot drama plot, papapa, plot plot, blah blah blah, drama, shit happens oh no, plot plot drama, SQQ's dying so now he going to SY. (I got really lazy) Time skip! Again!) SQQ staggered his way to the lake. He was in a horrible state with blood, bruises, stab wounds... he wasn't sure if he would even be able to reach the lake before his knees gave out. When he got there STE(SY) saw him and his expression instantly dropped. "A-Qiu!" He cried out in alarm as he hurried his way towards the other. (I got lazy, so basically SY takes him to the lake and tries to heal him but he can't and his precious heart is breaking and he's breaking and at this point he's desperate. But SQQ knows he's dying and that there's nothing they could do but he lost so much blood and he's so tired, he can't even feel the pain anymore. As SY desperately continues to try and at least do something, he finds out that SQQ's soul is in a shitty state and he most probably won't be able to reincarnat with this state, so in a last attempt to save SQQ, SY uses all of his power to heal? SQQ's soul so that he can reincarnate and maybe not in this time or life but in another they could finally be together and happy. SQQ's soul is ok now! and before he drifts off he gives SY a little kiss. SY cries and hugs SQQ body and then he buries the body in the forest, near the lake. SY exhausted his strength and now he's back to his swan form. It takes a least a few hundred years or maybe a thousand years for his power to fully heal but his heart is still broken and baby's still sad :( Anyways, Sy waits and waits and waits but SQQ still doesn't come back and SY doesn't know if he was even able to reincarnate because he's stuck in the forest so he sends his forest spirit? things? to find or make sure that SQQ reincarnated safely and other things, etc, but his heart is shattered when he finds out that SQQ didn't reincarnate yet and spends like another 1000 years waiting. And when he finally gets the news that SQQ was able to reincanate he is over the moon. (And yes SQQ was reborn as SJ, the slave boy and literally goes through original SQQ's past and he powerless against them because now he's just a weak human mortal, a slave on top of that--) SY spends a few more years waiting for him but the forest started to wither as the years went by and he's slowing losing his power? fading away? and blah blah blah, etc etc--) STE(SY) float on top of the water in his usual form as he looks into the bright sky. He let's a soft smile form on his face as tears starts to fall down his face. One may think that after years and years of crying the other would not have anymore tears to shed but it seemed like STE(SY) had infinite tears stored inside of his small body. In truth it was because of his cultivation? As a spirit? he was able to maintain young and healthy. The lone figure sniffed and sobbed dispit the smile on his lips. "I wish..." He paused and went quiet for a moment before his smile fell and he was crying again, like all the other countless time he cried. "I... I wish that I could stay for a little more longer..." he closed his eyes. "I wanted to see you again... even if you don't remember.. I still--" a hiccup. "...We don't need to talk... we don't need to meet, All I want... all I wish for is to see you, see your face... see that your doing well..." A light glow emitted from STE(SY) as he started to slowly fade away. "But I can't wait for you any longer, I... My time has come..." he said softly, almost a whisper. despite that he smiled again. "Thank you... A-Qiu, I love you..." He closed his eyes again, smiling as he slowly faded away.
(Continuation for the AU) A few years went by and a young cultivator stepped foot into the forest, if it could still be called that. The once beautiful scenery had completely withered away and where there once was a lake had dried up. The young man clutched at his fan and gritted his teeth. He understood that he was too late... he had come too late. despite what he was feeling he didn't show much on his face. He just stood there for a while looking at to where there once was a lake with diamond clear water, with different flowers and trees where. (A little time skip to a few hours later~) He was just about to leave when something came fluttering down. A feather. The young man knelt down to pick it up. A feather. A tear slipped through the man's eye despite his facade from earlier till now. But once a tear slipped down he couldn't stop no matter how much he tried, wanted to. He cried his heart out. The young man ended up staying there for at least 3 days before he finally went out of the once forest. (Time skip againnn) It's been a few years since he acsended as the peak lord or Qing Jing peak. Life was not so flavorful and everydayeither the brute or sect leader would come to annoy him. With a heavy sigh SQQ called out for his head disciple and ordered him to make some tea. SQQ sat quietly at the low table as he played around with his fan. There was an illustration of a swan gracefully swimming in the lake. He stared at it for a moment before promptly closing the fan. He heard footsteps, most likely his head disciple that came back with the tea. The other poured him his tea and SQQ gave the other a glance before accepting the tea. He took a sip of the tea. It's sweet. He hummed as he continued drinking it. The other in the room smiled softly as SQQ finished his tea. "you've improved." SQQ said, his pride not allowing him to say anything more than that. His disciple huffed. "it's already been years and you still didn't change one bit... A-Qiu you really could be a little cold sometimes." SY whispered. Despite being a whisper SQQ had heard it full on well. He snapped his head to SY direction and looked at him wide eyed. Shen Yuan huffed out a laugh, a laugh that he thought he'd never hear again. SQQ basically launched himself to the other and SY fell on his back with an "oomph". SQQ locked his lips with the other in a desperate kiss as tears threatened to come out of his eyes. SY circuled his arms around the other and kiss him back with as much desperation and passion.
