I'll bet those rings are stuck rusted solid. At least you gave it a try!! You'll have a spare block to for a future rebuild. Can't wait to see it running with the other engine.
You're probably right. I figured it wasn't worth the time since I had a spare engine. I'm hoping to have it on the road this summer. Thanks for watching.
@@Maine_A_S -- That would be great!! I've always wanted one of those trucks. Although yours needs some work, it's a great find and well deserving to be put back on the road.
Thanks for some new content--it's been a long winter! Had a customer pull up in an early 28 Model A pickup today looking to have me match some paint for it. Will probably be at the Dragway swap meet in the next month or two for sale.
Yeah. Not really the recommended way to do it but I figured I didn't really have much to lose on this one and wanted to see if it would clean up that cylinder at all. Thanks for watching.
Great Video. I really haven't worked on Model A's, but you really show the meat and potatoes part of it.
Thanks for watching.

So great to see you back at it!
Thank you. Hopefully I can keep it that way.

Thanks for watching. I'll keep an eye out for it. What color is it?
@@Maine_A_S Three different shades of green
Never seen anyone hone a cylinder with the piston in place.

Great video. Thanks. Watching from Seguin Tx. I own 29 pickup also
Thanks.
Hook awire directly to coil !!!
I had the coil powered directly off the batt.
Put a 12 volt batt in that sucker itl. Start. !!!
We set it up with 12 yo the starter and 6v to the coil but it didn't help. It ended up with really low compression.
That wire is to small for 6 volt !!!
