Daniel - a video idea for you. Beautiful Stockhom subway station: Stadion, Solna, Tensa, Tekniska Högskolan, others. Maybe you can start the walk there and use them as your video photo? 😁
I used to live here 19:39. Very nice and so close to the city 😊 Both apartments and townhouses in this area. So green in the summer and nice neigbourhood. You should do a walk in Gamla Enskede, Enskede trädgårdsstad, starting on Margaretavägen with beautiful English townhouses and carry on walking on Kyrklunden up to the church. Then walk around Margaretaparken and some of the other streets. Lovely but very expensive area 😉
I love this part of Stockholm! Those cute houses! The prices make my eyes water! In the UK we mostly live in houses. The huge amount of building that went on during the Georgia, Victorian and Edwardian eras has meant that most people here live in houses. All my Swedish friends live in flats. Over here you could buy a mansion with a swimming pool for the price of one of these little Swedish houses!
I've been wondering how many names of the places in Stockholm have been moved straight to Helsinki. A lot of street names for sure. However, even though I think Djurgården is our example of Eläintarha(Djurgården in Finnish) but I think even Djurgården is copied from Berlin's Tiergarten. Not sure about that history. F
Hi..Daniel ....really interesting to watch your videos ...are these buildings appartments? Nice whether... Will you be able to do a video of Linkoping? Would like to know more about that place....
@@vampire_biker I just remembered the correct word for that red line, a slider, I couldn't think of it earlier. Glad to read you managed to watch the last few minutes. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Gabriela. ☺
That's an interesting statistics. But i have watched many home decoration programs and such on the BBC and the standard house in some places in Britain is literally half the size of that in Sweden haha. Some houses in the UK are soooo small. Actually smaller than appartments.
@@letswalkaroundstockholm Ha ha - rabbit hutches! It depends on where you live. Some of the new build estates and "starter home" estates in the suburbs do have pretty small houses but my city has a huge amount of 1900-1920 terraces of really big houses with large rooms and high celings - I was born in one. My current house was built in 1978 and is on a "red brick" estate - used to be what young families aspired to but now very out of date! I'm lucky to have a garden. I love my garden more than my house!
I didn't know that this is so different through Europe, from Ireland at around 7% to Spain at 67% living in apartments! Sweden, obviously, staying close to EU average, somewhere in between.

Great Video thanks for showing is around 👍😀
You are welcome. Thanks.
The place looks peaceful but its not that kind of crowded place where you can see people chitchatting everywhere. Its just plain but great place.
The color of the houses are remarkable!
Yes they are. I love it.
You mentioned the swedish rocks covered with moss. Have a look at John Bauers paintings of trolls.

You should visit Birka Vikingastaden or Trelleborg!
Thanks for the suggestion
Thank you , Daniel! The walk was nice and interesting!

Lovely walk as always. Anyone else trying to learn Swedish? It’s brutally difficult
haha it depends. If you already speak English it is actually one of the easiest languages to learn.

Hi. Yes they are apartments indeed. Yes i think i will go to Linköping during the summer road trip.

Bedankt!
Where is all you snow? Chicago is now covered and it's really cold here. Such a bummer!
This year is bad with snow indeed. Last year we had so much more.

Cute houses, but just look like small coloured boxes. I like larger homes with garages .
Haha dont we all. But those cost millions here
