  • After reacting to "Yes" a while ago, this duo has stayed on my mind. McAlmont's soul and Butler's rocking guitar work creates such a magical blend of sounds. Others might've had a hard time singing over the ethereal musical background here, but not McAlmont. Nothing can hold his beautiful voice back. If these 2 asked me to be stronger, I'd try my best.
    Thanks for watching!

I recommend searching for their Jools Holland performance where they played 'Yes' and 'You Do'.

David McAlmont's voice is great and moving and I love Bernard Butler too... Impeccable.

You really need to react to Falling by McAlmont and Butler, the wall of sound is immense. Also, Suede are my favourite band and if you haven’t already, you need to react to their new material, especially the last album Autofiction which won a ton of critical praise.

Awesome to see you discovering McAlmont & Butler. The album has an amazing mix of styles, 'The Right Thing' (rock/blues), 'Although (heartbreaking soul with devastating lyrics)' and 'How About You (60's soul)' are all hidden gems.

The unlikely duo that made some great music out there. Excellent 👍

This is my favourite McAlmont and Butler song. Very moving.
You should watch their performance of this on Jool Holland.
    It's incredible.
There's one bit where Dave holds a sustained note at exactly the same pitch as the violins. It unbelievable.
By the way every music movement is coined by the media. Suede ARE Britpop whether they like it or not.

There’s always a tinge of regret that Butler left Suede in 94, probably would have carried on making some great music with Brett.

This is a good tune, not as good as Yes (but what is?!). I'd say Falling is probably the best thing they did after Yes, definitely should check that one out.
