This was a great video for general function of the 6000 model. What does Em Heat mean in the system box and or Auxiliary heat, when these are on the screen ... system is not reacting to controls, does not turn on, can I unplug the thermostat to reset it, I changed the batteries and nothings changed....
Mine is stuck at 65 degrees and I even though I am in hold mode and want at 68 it it will not work I got it to work for 5 days as a normal thermostat now its not working again terrific
What ever happened to the old slide thermometer. I have no air so this is just to much tech for basic heat. I see the lazy part where you don't have to turn this down b4 you leave for work and ……And yeah I get the mercury is dangerous part but......
You have to delete each schedule manually. When you get to the segment, hit the center button which will delete it. In the video he just selected next because there was no inputted value.
How do I stop my Honeywell thermostat from being in a program. I've tried everything and it is still programmed. I want to get rid of the set times and temperature. I want to be able to control my heat.

Not necessarily. You want to set the temp on your A.C system and "forget about it". Your A.C System is essentially a giant dehumidifier, so once its turned on for the warm season it pulls all of the energy it needs during your start up process when its initially cooling the whole home. To save money on electricity, general rule of thumb is to set the thermostat to where you are comfortable and leave it there. When adjusting the temperature up or down, the system pulls more energy.
I may have missed it, but this unit has a backlight right? My thermostat works but does not light up. So I end up messing around with it in the dark sometimes

Just hold the fan and temp up button until the screen changes. Then the number on left change it to 27 for heat or 28 for cool by pressing the next button displayed below. After that number on the right is your temp limit.adjust it by temp up and down arrow.hopefully this helps.

I just took the battery out for a few minutes then it cleared the clock and all the schedule

On my thermostat it has set button then hold button then run. You are using the words next and no done button.

These Honeywell thermostats are sheer crap, use the Pro1 thermostats.
Hi Paula, Hit system button to change mode to cool. Might have to hit it more than once, just watch for the word cool.
