Nicely done. The servo visual is a great way to demonstrate the programming effect. I'm using OpenTX on a Turnigy 9xr and wanted differential thrust for an FT Mini Guinea with twin motors. Only thing I did different was to put the new mixes on a switch so I could turn it on or off. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, I also recorded a video on doing the same thing with Companion 9x, but the audio was curupted. My plan is to try and do a voice over, then post it.
There's a couple of ways to make this even easier:1. Place the throttle cut After the RUD mix and it will replace both THR & RUD without needing to enable the SW on the RUD mix2. Use 'copy' in the mix menu (hold down ENT key then scroll to copy) to speed up entering the same thing twice for both motors.
Thanks a lot for posting this. I was thinking of building a tracked rover but didn't know if I could program the tracks to move properly. Do you know if the differential thrust works even if the vehicle is in reverse? Vehicular ESCs have a reverse function and I wonder if I have to do anything to account for it in the TX.
Khoa Nuyen Yes it should work. I've used the right stick on my mode 2 controller (right stick "snaps" to center) to set up the same thing and its worked with reverse ESCs.
Great video, exactly what I was looking for with my FT SuperBee dual motor. However I'm stuck with both my emax escs not beeping on power up. As soon as I mix rudder with throttle, the escs are SILENT. The servos all work fine via the RX, but no throttle response at all. IF I totally remove rudder mix from throttles it allows the escs to beep. Maybe I need to flash firmware on ESCs? They are emax 30a blheli's. Thoughts?
For anyone else that runs into this, I ended up swapping inverse on the rudders, had -100 on one, and switched to 100, and put -100 on the opposite. ESCs chirped to life, all is well.
I'm building a Flitetest Kraken and needed differential thrust. Thanks for this vid. Only problem is, I'm using an Arkbird OSD flight controller with only 1 throttle input and output. I'll either have to bypass the flight controller or not have differential thrust for steering on the ground. I'll be using the rudder channel for camera panning anyways. UGGGG! LOL
is it possible to change the responsiveness of the sticks in this radio? in other words I will like to make my quad slower by making the responsiveness of the sticks lower if possible thanks
I've done this on a boat with two motors. You would need to create another mix and use the "REPLACE" parameter on "Multpx" (Multiplex) and have the default settings ----OR---- [Easiest option] you could add a "Switch" in your mix. This switch would activate the mix. (example: this is used for a Throttle hold. Some people will use the two position switch on there Throttle mix to turn the throttle off so they don't accidently hit while working on the plane. The "Switch" option is in the mix options at the top left.
the fact that you just posted this is crazy was having so much trouble yesterday...thank you thank you
No problem, glad I could help. Thank you for watching.
Thanks dude, looked all over for something like this. Easy to copy you, but I could never figure that out on my own. So hats off to you

Many thanks Net Air. I've been going round in circles (literally) with this setup!
Glad I could help
Very nice tutorial about channels mixing!
It looks pretty easy with the Taranis :)
Thanks for sharing and happy weekend

Thank you for your lessons

Great video, man! One question: do you have any idea if it's possible with the FlySky FS-T6? I'm thinking of buying it. Thanks!

Thank you! I've been struggling with this setup..
thanks
You sir are a genius. THANKS!

+djchino What you're looking for is exponential. You can make center stick more or less sensitive.
What would you do if you wanted to turn differential thrust off with a switch
