In this video I just wanted to ask you that, as the figure is symmetrical about it's axis why didn't you just take y-axis along the line of symmetry? By doing that we don't have to make calculations for x axis.

If yes did you use the correct formula meaning Xc =A1x1+A2X../ total summation of area similarly for Yc if yess..

Locate the centroid of the profile as shown in Figure 1 (left). The measurements are in mm. HINT 1: The location of the centroid is at z = 13 mm & ye 12.8 mm. Try to confirm those results using equation (4.13) of the book of Engineering Mechanics that appears in the syllabus.
