ZX Spectrum - Saboteur! Remastered - Clive Townsend

Join me today to take a look at Clive Townsend's classic game: Saboteur, Remastered for the ZX Spectrum.
It's not a complete rewrite, but Clive's fixed a few things, made the code a bit more efficient and tweaked the graphics a little.

I think people overlook the amazing art direction a little and the attention to detail, even of the remastered packaging. There's some kind of 80s ninja cool there that I don't think can be reproduced now. Although I believe Clive has a new Saboteur game in development...

Haven't got time to watch whole review now, but from a quick scan through the video, shame Clive didn't take the opportunity to tart up the graphics a little more colour wise, etc. Never got around to playing the original amazingly in all these years!

Not sure myself, the dark look and feel of the game adds to the atmosphere I think. That said deeper into the game it might be a bit more colourful - just not got there yet!

I suppose it's like a remastered album - a few tweaks here and there, but not a complete redesign.
