Polk In-Ceiling Speaker Review. RC80i outdoor speaker install.

I recently purchased 2 sets of Polk Audio speakers for outdoor installation. This was done through Amazon. This is my unboxing and BASIC review of the RC80i speakers.

I have a question for the wiring where do you put the plug for power

No plug for power. These are powered from the receiver via the speaker wire.

@@davespendsitall So, that means you need to have a head unit or amplifier to power these correct? Then the power is transmitted along one of the two wires that plugs to the back of the speaker?

@@mattsouth6930 Hi Matt. Just like the good old days. Amplifier/Receiver wired up to speakers. Usually only a stand alone sub woofer would need separate power. These little guys work fine with a standard amplifier/receiver.

Yikes! So overall inflation is up about 7%... except for speakers which are up 70%.👍
